Amazing food, ambience, and customer service! Came here with a large group from work and the waitress was so accommodating. I had the pasta special of the day which had tomato sauce and burrata. I ate the whole thing! I would definitely go again. read more

Great Service!! The food was amazing. My lady had the lobster ravioli. It was on Point!! I had the prosciutto wrapped veal which was outstanding. I don't usually leave reviews but this place....THEY DESERVE IT!! Atmosphere was great. The only thing I wish happened..was that we DO IT AGAIN SOONER THAN LATER!! Thanks for a great time!! read more

Came here on New Years Eve and had a decent experience. We had a reservation at 7:45 and didn't get seated until around 8:15 which was a bit annoying. But the food! The food is delicious. The beet/arugula/goat cheese appetizer salad is to die for. I had the salmon which was a nice combination of flavors, and my fiancées pasta was cooked to perfection. read more

First time at their new location at Legacy. Nice decor and bar area. Dinner for four overall was pretty, pretty good. Service needs to catch up with food quality. Entrees were enjoyed by all and included salmon, scallops with risotto and 2 orders of Branzino. Ahi tuna app which was served tartare style was very tasty. Martinis both gin and vodka were good sized. We all agreed, we would be back! read more

The , food is so bad here that it deserves one starhowever the service and ambience are very nice. We had three different appetizers, Caesar salad, stuffed artichokes, and eggplant Parmesan. The eggplant was bland, the Caesar salad tasted like school food but the artichokes were very nice. For the entrée the salmon entrée had uncooked black rice with it, the lasagna had no pasta in it and the sauce tasted like Costco sauce! The chicken Parmesan had uncooked rigatoni with it. Luckily we had good company! read more

Katherine M. has hands down the most positive, cheerful, enthusiastic energy of any server I've ever had! She without a doubt ALWAYS ensures we have the best dining experience possible. We love chatting with her and appreciate her fun and entertaining spirit. As regulars as Il Massimo, we try to request Katherine whenever possible. She makes a great restaurant with excellent food even better!! read more

Stopped into the Providence location for the first time (typically I go to the Dedham location). Had an AMAZING brunch, and was waited on by Julia. She was absolutely wonderful! Upbeat, attentive, and made what was already a great experience even better. I am sure all the staff is just as memorable, but you should ask for her when you visit! We'll be back again soon! read more

The meatballs were hard on the inside and cold the baked gnocchi had no flavor and taste. I overheard employees talking about how they don't get a break and how hungry they are, doesn't sound like a fun place to work. I this will be my first and last time going to Il Massimo :( read more

As far as dining options for Legacy Place go, this is the place for a fantastic upscale red-checkered table feel. Of course the tables do not have the actual red-checked tablecloths, but the servers definitively bring that homely vibe in all they do. The appetizers are generous in size and substance (do not miss the white anchovy cesaer salad). The entrees are well appointed and equally satisfying and delicious. Do not miss the house orange cello as a night-cap after your meal! On a personal note, Dorothy was incredibly magnanimous and welcoming. Thank you very much for making our sunday dinner service spectacular in every way. read more

My first visit here and extremely hospitable welcome by a wonderful person named Shannon. She was very professional and personable, as she pointed out some really nice dishes. I could not have felt more welcomed and look forward to returning with family and friends! The menu is fabulous!! read more

Avoid the Linguine with Little Necks. The clams were not Little Necks. I used to be in the seafood business. I know a quahog. They were these puny clams that were more effort to open than they were worth. If they couldn't get Little Necks, they should take it off the menu. A bust. read more

Food was pretty good and service was good. I went out with two girlfriends and we first grabbed drinks at the bar. While I didn't care too much for my mocktail, they seemed to enjoy their drinks. The bartender was really nice too. In the dining room, we had the calamari appetizer, gnocchi with short rib, gnocchi with sausage, and the special of the night, pumpkin ravioli. My friends ordered espresso martinis for dessert. Everything we ate and drank was pretty solid. No real complaints except the prices were a bit steep. And the bread was served cold with a cold eggplant marinara. While I appreciate the attempt to go above and beyond a plate of olive oil, WARM bread is so much better than cold. And a WARM dipping sauce is so much better than a cold one. Our server couldn't have been nicer or more patient. We were there for several hours lol. read more

Edmund was an excellent waiter! Food and drinks were amazing! Very accommodating and staff worked well together like a team. read more

Before the pandemic, I was excited to see Il Massimo open in Dedham. The food was great and the cocktails and environment were also awesome. During the pandemic, Il Massimo became my go to for family size to go dishes. Now, as restrictions loosen up, I continue to use them for family size to go and now also for catering dishes. The food is consistently delicious, the value is excellent, and the service is outstanding. These things sound like they should be standards at every restaurant, but they just aren't. We are constantly blown away by this place! I highly recommend this restaurant. read more

Perfect combination of comfortable, classy and cozy. For valentines day we were seated by the fireplace in the rear of the restaurant in a private section. It was quite away from families with children and gave us an intimate space to have a nice dinner. The food was delicious especially the eggplant appetizer and the carbonara. Will definitely return for more happy memories. read more

We went on a Saturday afternoon at 3 to find a busy and beautiful restaurant. Service was excellent octopus app was excellent I got the chicken parm which was perfect and my wife the fra diavolo which was loaded with seafood. Great experience we highly recommend read more

Went for a work dinner a week ago . Had the carbonara. Charcuterie plate and the carpaccio. Nice touch with the egg yolk. Good wine list. Service pretty good. Will be back read more

I thought this place was very average. The prices were very high for something you could easily make at home. The only standout item I had was flatbread. Better options in the area. read more

I am in LOVE with this restaurant. Came here for lunch and the service was great! They all wore masks not chin straps and seated everyone apart from each other. I came here for the carbonara (most places don't do the raw egg) and it was good, very creamy. I would say it's a 4 star but that's because I was spoiled in Italy. I was hoping to taste more of the pancetta or egg but it was still delicious! The free bread was great, it was garlicy and full of flavor (5 stars). Try not to fill up with the bread because it will be hard. The spinach salad had candied walnuts, bacon bits, caramelized onion, cheese all balance in a nice vinaigrette (5 stars). The shrimp risotto was what surprised me, it was soo good! The shrimp was large and cooked beautifully- fresh and full of flavor. The risotto was creamy and complemented the shrimp (5 stars). I would definitely order this again. My family had the Cesar salad and it was also really flavorful, I think I would try that next time. We also had the Tiramisu, it wasn't overly sweet and hit the spot just right (4 star). The atmosphere is regal and has great ambiance. I would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant! I can't wait to go back :) read more

Such an amazing place! Food is addicting and made with percision and care! The drinks are always unique, tasty and up to speed with the season. The managers are always doing everything they can to make the guests feel comfortable and cared for! Thank you! read more

My dad and I decided to try this place out to celebrate me buying a new car. This place is newly opened and was packed for a Wednesday night. Lighting was dim but ambiance was nice. We didn't wait too long considering how busy it was. Bread that came to the table was decent but the crispy bread had mostly holes in it so not much bread. Also found what they served with the bread to be a bit strange. It tasted like cold tostitos salsa you dip chips in? Not very Italian lol. But either way, I really enjoyed my meal. I got the carbonara. It appears like the portion is small but after having a salad it was the perfect amount. Plus the dish itself was dense and had an over easy egg on top which was a nice touch. My dad didn't love his sausage and broccoli rabe pesto. It was particularly salty. If they cut back on the salt it would be a great dish. Our waitress carver was very nice! read more

This is our favorite date night spot! Always have good drinks and good food! We've really enjoyed their prosciutto pizza appetizer, love their espresso martinis and always good apps read more

We went yesterday for Restaurant week. We sat at the bar and watched a March Madness game. Excellent bartender named Allison - she was friendly and made us great drinks. Nice warm bread with oil to dip it in. Caesar salad was fresh and had plenty of cheese! I had the carbonara with the raw egg - trust me, it's good and cooks when you cut it up into the hot carbonara. Dessert was outstanding. read more

All is delicious here! The only danger is over indulging! Great bread, wine, and entrees!

We went to Il Massimo for the first time this past Saturday (2-22-20) and all I can say is, wow, we were all blown away. Everything about the place is just great. Our server went above and beyond. We never felt rushed and she was extremely knowledgeable about the food and wines. Our food surpassed all our expectations and this is saying something. We expected a very good meal based on seeing the menu and some photos but what we experienced was far more. The appetizers and main courses were phenomenal. 3 of us had a veal tenderloin dish and we were all very impressed. We're looking forward to going back. Kudos to all for making this one of the most enjoyable dining experiences we've had in a long time. read more

We had dinner there last night. Katherine was our server. She was outstanding, informative, friendly and attentive. Food was delicious too. We got the fillet, which was cooked perfect, the pork chop, my husband said was really good and the surf & turf, short ribs. All excellent! Katherine introduced us to an eggnog cocktail that was great! Very different from any eggnog we have ever had. I want the recipe!and an orangecello. It was a great evening and we will definitely go back! read more

I had dinner at Il Massimo with a friend and we had a great experience. Food was delicious and Orlando was a fantastic server!

Atmosphere 10/10. Service is fine. Food is where this place struggles. Maybe it's just the seafood that they aren't good with? Do not order calamari. I order calamari at every restaurant I go to, and this was the most chewy calamari I've ever had at any restaurant. Salmon was good except black risotto was very dry. Branzino was good until I discovered many many fish bones in it..:. read more

My husband and myself went to dinner here with recommendations from family while visiting for our 3 year anniversary.. It was amazing!! I came here with 2 friends, and although I wanna give it 5 stars for its food, the service wasn't my favorite. The waiter we had had made me feel pressured to drink or even buy an alcoholic drink which I don't drink alcohol but she made me feel super uncomfortable. My friend was looking in the wallet to give her more of a tip as she doesn't like to tip on her card, but with cash. Due to the uncomfortable encounter, I gave her a 5% tip. She then stands in front of us and says "only $5?" And proceeded to leave then comes back to the table and says, "don't come back unless you can afford to eat here." Granted we gave her a 5% tip due to the uncomfortable encounter with the alcoholic drink, and maybe we should've tipped more on our part, as I can take responsibility for it. My friend (who paid for dinner) had been there before, and they are known for tipping well. Like I said, my friend was looking in her wallet to see if she had a $10 bill instead of a $5, and on top of that, you being forceful about an alcoholic drink especially when I DONT drink alcohol is uncomfortable. I can admit that I should've given her a bigger tip because I know how hard it is being someone working in the food industry, but you need to work on your bed side manners better and you would've gotten a bigger tip. read more

Not a fan. Visited Il Massimo's last weekend for lunch and was disappointed in the food and service. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan and it honestly was one of the worst versions of the dish that I've ever had. The chicken was so over cooked that the whole fillet was curled like fried bologna. The service was also extremely slow and the waiter, although not rude, was not attentive and did not return to the table after the meal was brought. Only came back to ask if we were all set. The eggplant appetizer was good, but I will not be returning to this place. read more

Great food, great service, all around great night. We arrived in two groups and the first group to arrive thought we were a party of five and were seated at a booth. When the rest of us arrived it was clear that we would not all fit in the booth being a party of six. The staff relocated us to a table with no hesitation and honored our request to keep the same server who was awesome. The drinks, appetizer and meals all arrived in a timely manner, there was a minor issue with one meal that was quickly taken care of by our server followed by an apology from the manager. This was my fourth visit to this restaurant (lunch, brunch and dinner) and I'm never disappointed. The Short Rib Gnocchi is the best! I can't say enough good things about this restaurant and will return again and again. read more

My wife and I came after a movie because they post their gluten free menu online. We received a very friendly greeting when we arrived despite being late for our reservation. We were seated right away, with GF menus. The waitress (Jenna L) had already put in a request for GF rolls which were a fresh baked treat. Our dinners were very tasty--gnocchi w sausage and shrimp risotto. The service was friendly and efficient. It was an extremely enjoyable night out. read more

Had such a good meal and great experience tonight at I'll Massimo! My daughter and I decided to grab a late-ish dinner and got a great table on the patio. Trying to make more plant-based choices for our meals, we had so many more options than in most restaurants. In fact, we feasted on eggplant parmigiana, broccoli rabe with roasted garlic, the yummiest roasted cauliflower that I've ever had in a restaurant, and baby artichokes with a chili aioli. Our server, Zoe, was perhaps the best server I have had in ages. She was so friendly and knowledgeable about the menu items, and made the best suggestions. She was so fabulous, we could have talked with her all night! Our meal was tasty and fun in a great environment, and we will definitely return to try several more things that we didn't have room to order... read more

My wife and I went In the other day and right from when we walked in the atmosphere was very inviting. We were seated very quickly and our waitress Vicky was very professional. from the moment she came over to our table. She did a phenomenal job in making sure we had everything we needed at all times and she always had a smile. The food was great and it came out quickly. I will definitely be returning and recommending Massimo to my friends and family. read more

I gave it a a star because making a reservation was easy and I was seated promptly. Then it all went south, no waitress ever showed up to our table(12 minutes), we poured our own water from where the waitress should have been. All of the sudden a woman drops a bread basket on our table without a word and disappears but still no waitress.......I left after watching several waitress pass us by and never stop....,12 minutes. read more

What a major disappointment this place was. Waited over an hour for our food. My wife's chicken was like a piece of shoe rubber and the cauliflower had a funny taste to it. People who were seated after us were finished with their dinner before we were served ours. Explanation was that they had to use a back kitchen due to my wife's allergies. So that takes longer to cook? Seriously. Not a fan read more
