I really enjoyed having a chill weekend breakfast here! I got the avo tartine and an iced hojicha latte. You order at the counter then they'll call your name to pick up your food and drink. The space is bright and open with some tables set aside as laptop-free. I enjoyed the food and the hojicha latte hit the spot. I'd definitely return to try more of their menu!

Obsessed with this adorable new cafe! Located right in downtown JP with lots of surrounding street parking. The place itself is on the smaller side with a beautiful airy space with a green aesthetic with plants and cute artwork. It's clearly popular already as a meet up spot due to the yummy food and as a work spot with bar counter seating and good WiFi. The food menu itself is such a fun fusion between typical cafe food and Indian/south Asian flavors, and everything is executed so well. So far I have tried the labneh parfait which was amazing, the mezze situation which was perfect for snacking while working and had the freshest fluffiest pita, and my personal favorite the avocado toast with is topped with a masala spice for a little kick. The coffee drinks are also really good and I particularly like their matcha! The staff are so kind and welcoming. It also closes at 3pm and then re-opens in the evening as a wine bar! Will definitely have to come in the evening sometime to try the evening bites.

Beautiful ambiance. Clean, airy, bright, and cute decor and paintings. The aesthetic is seen even in the plates and glasses. Seems very intentionally designed and curated. The cardamom latte was delish. You could taste the cardamom flavor and it's so unique compared to other cafes. The Turkish eggs were good but the only flavor I could get was the sourness of the yogurt and I wonder if they could add something to balance it out. The breakfast Sammy while tasty felt dry and could use either a spread/chutney or perhaps a dipping sauce. Service was friendly and quick. I do wish them all the best because JP could do with such a cafe. Some advice for them would be to add more flavor to some of their dishes and supplement their dishes with a brilliant supply of baked goods, which can really lift up a cafe.

" Great little cafe " Modern , trendy , good coffee, & friendly staff . What more could you ask for ? A great parfait and they had this too . Everything I ordered was delicious. Not much of a wait time , they had many staff members on hand & baristas. So the line moved fast . It's a welcoming vibe . Coffee is delicious. I definitely will be back . Parking is street metered. Please read the signs before parking .

Finally got to stop by Jadu -- I've tried to come in on 5 or 6 occasions, but there's been no sitting room. Was left feeling a bit frustrated today as the problem is apparent -- there's very limited seating, no WiFi limits to promote table turnover, and table sharing/courtesy isn't encouraged. I think this would be an easy improvement for this new spot to implement to drastically improve customer experience! I ordered a hot cardamom latte and the "breakfast sammy". The latte was delicious and its presentation was great as well. The little mug it came in was adorable and I enjoyed it. The breakfast sandwich was a pretty typical coffee shop sandwich; it got the job done. The baristas/staff were very welcoming and kind. The space itself is pretty sterile and vacuous/echoey. I can readily admit that different people appreciate different types of coffee shops; I appreciate a calming, cozy space and atmosphere. While Jadu didn't check those boxes for me, it may be somebody else's "cup of tea". I'll probably stop by in a few months to see if time is the solution here!

We were very excited to try their wine bar menu and Jadu at night did not disappoint. The wine (and other beverage selection) was great and had lots of options. The food was delicious and prices were very reasonable. The tuna could've used a bit more lemon but it was so fresh and a good portion. The cauliflower was our standout favorite and I'll definitely be back for it. Highly recommend for casual drinks or cute date night. I was impressed by service especially on night 1 since the cafe hours are counter service. They seemed to out a lot of thought and effort into this and it's coming together very well.

Fantastic cafe and now wine bar from Fri-Sun! Food is always incredibly good. The owner is always there working so hard with her staff. They're so friendly and attentive. I love their tea selection during the day and wine selection at night. I appreciate that they have non-wine options as well. It has for sure become a go-to place for me and something that was much needed in the JP neighborhood. They work with other local businesses to source ingredients and the amazing chocolate cake (shout out Monumental Market). I love supporting locally-owned small businesses, and this is one I'll continue support.

The perfect spot for brunch with a friend! The food was amazing and incredibly fresh, and the drinks were fabulous. The large iced latte came in a true large glass, which is very appreciative. Service was excellent and attentive throughout.

I tried the labneh parfait - yogurt was thick and creamy which balanced well with the fresh strawberries and crunchy granola.

Haley Henry Wine Bar is a solid spot for a relaxed but elevated wine night. I went on a Wednesday…read moreevening without a reservation and had no problem getting seated right away for a table of two, which was a great start. The wine selection is excellent and thoughtfully curated -- whites, reds, bubbles, orange wines, and more, so there's truly something for every palate. My friend and I both ordered a red, and it was absolutely perfect. Our server was super friendly and attentive, and she even offered a few samples so we could try before committing to a full glass, which we really appreciated. For food, we shared the hot dog with fried oysters to pair with the wine, and it was surprisingly delicious and a fun, elevated bar bite. Overall, the experience was fantastic -- great wine, great service, and a comfortable atmosphere. Pricing is definitely on the higher end, with wine glasses around $20 and the hot dog at $14, but the quality and experience justify it. I'd absolutely come back for another wine night.

Unfortunately, this most recent visit didn't live up to the high standards I've come to expect. While a few dishes hit the mark, the majority of our order was a letdown: Tinned Octopus: Surprisingly chewy and lacked seasoning. Mushroom Toast: The texture was rubbery, and the flavor was completely drowned out by an aggressive amount of balsamic. Beets: Had a very overwhelming cumin flavor that threw the dish out of balance. Roast Beef Slider: Served cold and felt a bit uninspired. It's such a cute, intimate space, and I've had so many wonderful nights here in the past, but the execution was just off this time around. I'm hoping it was just an off night, but it was definitely disappointing given how much I usually love this place!

Why fix something simple when it ain't broken? Sometimes places can fall into the trap of trying to do too much. Prairie Fire is one of the few that can walk that tightrope, offering a raw bar, pizzas, pastas, a burger, seafood, and more. But everything we tried was delicious. I had an eye on so much on the menu but we ultimately went with the razor clam ceviche from the raw bar, a pepperoni pizza, the Maine lobster ravioli, and the mushroom toast (a crowd favorite). My favorites were the ceviche and the mushroom toast - do not skip it. The mushrooms are cooked perfectly and they slather a layer of parmesan aioli on the bread that cooks into it. Amazing. One of my best bites of 2025. Pepperoni pizza was pretty good but I still prefer the Neapolitan style. Have to come back to try so many other things - the Maine uni toast, the burger, the trout. The sourdough ice cream was a super unique dessert. They take the leftover butts of loaves and soak it in milk/cream and the result is almost like a less sweet salted caramel. Loved the textural addition of the poached pear. We were lucky to come around 5 on a weekend evening and snag some of the remaining bar seats but when we left, the place was completely full. Come early or get a reservation! Parking can be tough in Coolidge Corner; I recommend seeing if you can get a spot in Webster parking lot at the back of the restaurant.
