The amazing menu, a delicious red blend with a friendly game of Rummy!
Melissa J.

Such a great little spot! Excellent wines for tasting. Delightful light fare menu but the best part is being able to play a card game (or board game) by the fire place!

Sangria with charcuterie board in progress.

Everything a wine lover could dream of! Not only do they have a HUGE selection of whites, reds and sangria, but they offer a selection of craft beer as well. The delicious pizzas and build your own charcuterie boards have something for everyone. I will also be coming back to participate in their craft class offerings!!! Don't hesitate to get in the car and share in this special ambiance. Carly and Brenda were knowledgeable and personable. An exceptional drinking and dining experience.

Set in the downtown area of the coastal town of Plymouth Mass, Uva is this extremely charming SELF-SERVE wine bar featuring a wine list from around the world that is seemingly endless. With different oz pour options, you can easily work your way through a list of their offered wines to find your own favorites. In addition, Uva also features a "build your own" cheese board menu, flatbread pizzas and locally made desserts. Very creative & fun concept that delivers a unique experience with their cozy & welcoming atmosphere and great selection of wine for everyone to enjoy. Build Your Own Charcuterie Need I say more. A wonderful collection of cuts, crackers, and assorted cheese for you to choose from & enjoy. All-in all, the food is tremendous, excellent flavors with great presentation and wicked accommodating & friendly staff. If you ever find your way to Plymouth, be sure to drop by UVA.

The chaqueterie and flatbread pizza was delicious. Nice selection of wine. Fun atmosphere and great service. We did a craft night as well.

Christmas!

We had the best time here over Christmas weekend! We did wine tastings and found new favorites, and ordered two rounds of cheese and meats and olives, which also came with honey, mustard, raspberry preserves and an assortment of crackers. Such a fun place to pass the time with friends and family. The staff here are so friendly and helpful. We had a great evening!

Hummus, charcuterie and cheese platter. Everything fresh and yummy!

We arrived at 6:30 on a Wednesday evening. Got a table outside for 4 and there were a couple of parking spots right in front. FOOD: Excellent. The charcuterie and cheese platter had lots of choices and everything was fresh. Hummus bowl was a generous portion and the flatbread pizza was delicious. BAR: I've never been to a self serve wine bar. It was a pretty neat experience. You give your credit card info and get a plastic card with a chip. That card is inserted into a stainless steel box, you choose which wine you'd like and how much of a pour - 1.5, 3 or 6 ounces. Put your glass under the spout and out comes your wine! The prices for each are displayed and below each spot is a description of the wine and the alcohol content. I'd recommend snapping a photo of your choice so you can remember it for the next time. If you chose an amount, but the bottle ran out before the correct fill, the system is smart enough to charge you only the prorated amount and notifies the wine gods the bottle needs refilling. They are very prompt so within 5 minutes I was able to go back in and fill my glass. There is a range of wine to choose from, I feel the prices are mostly in line with what I would pay if ordering wine by the glass off a menu. When you are ready to leave, you hand the card to the cashier and your credit card is charged for what you purchased. SERVICE: Outstanding. You won't find a nicer group of folks. Full of energy, smiles and we felt very well taken care of. The process is fully explained and all our questions were answered. We never felt rushed and at one point we needed space for the pizza, so the server grabbed a chair and set that up for us. ATMOSPHERE: It was a beautiful evening in Plymouth. There are several tables outside and a couple indoor seating options. As the sun was going down, there was a pesky flying beetle that would not leave us alone. I'll bring my little travel zapper next time :). My only recommendation is to turn the music down a bit. It was challenging to hear the instructions as the cashier/host table is near the front door which is where the speakers are. Couple that with trying to hear someone speaking through a mask. It was a little frustrating and we had to ask a few times for repeat directions. There are plenty of bottles of hand sanitizer around, so once I got my card I slathered it, as there was no sign indicating they are sanitized. I also have finger cots that I use to press the wine button selections, but, as sanitizer is plentiful, that will do the job, too!

Such a great spot for a casual drink or an event! Wine is poured but the size (different oz amount for taste, 1/2 glass, etc). The wines rotate and staff are great in helping you find what you're looking for! We went on a night where there was live music and it was very relaxing- a great vibe! I definitely recommending checking this place out for the cozy atmosphere and great wines. The cheese boards are great too!

I have never been to a place like this but I really loved the atmosphere, and the selection of wine. When you first walk in you welcomed by the the people behind the desk who then assign a card to you which you will use while getting wine. When selecting your wine they have everything broken down into different kinds of wine (like Chardonnay, Rosè etc.) as well as a small descriptions of the wine it's self. After getting my wine I had a seat at a small square table, they had a small menu of things you could order while drinking your wine which I thought was nice. The place itself was very large for something like that, with a large fire place and table with seating near the back. If you're into things like this it's definitely something to try. I'll be back for sure

So many choices of wine!

Delicious wine and food. Also the nicest people work here! So much fun! Highly recommend!

A few of my girlfriends and I went to Uva Wine bar back in October. Talk about a gem of a place! The charcuterie board and flatbread pizzas were amazing! I simply love how you can taste all of their wines to decide which one you want to have a full glass of. It is the most perfect idea and very much what downtown Plymouth needed! Abby took care of us and she was super knowledgeable about the wines and knew exactly which ones I would like and which ones I wouldn't. Katy and Michelle have an amazing thing going for sure! If you have not been to Uva Wine bar yet, you are very much missing out. So perfect for a girl's night out or a double date! My girlfriends and I will definitely be back!

Calling all wine lovers! This is your place. I have always been a wine lover, but more recently I've thrown myself into the wine field by becoming WSET LEVEL 2 wine certified, working as a wine consultant and part time for Total Wine and More. I've been to many wineries and even though this is quite different from the rest, it was my favorite. They have an outside too. Upon walking in your giving a card (kind of like a card that you would get at the arcade). And, you would choose your wine pour using this card by inserting this into the wine station. It can be for a 1 oz pour for just a taste or a full pour. At the end it will tell you how much you owe. They had about 46 different ones to choose from. With so much variety, I had a hard time choosing, so I think I ended up tasting at least seven or eight different wines. And, they also have an option to buy the bottles as well which I thought was a great idea. I think it would be really fun for a bachelorette party. We were also able to order some cheeses and meats to pair with our wines. I highly recommend visiting with your friends especially if they enjoy wine. It was so much fun, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and I absolutely loved it. I cannot wait to go back.

Lounge area and Wine dispenser!

UVA Wine Bar has it all. The atmosphere is very welcoming. The Wine list is endless. The charcuterie boards are top notch along with my personal favorite the "figgy Pizza". You can lounge in the back by a fireplace or hang upfront and listen to great live music. Lots to like about this place! Highly recommend!

I absolutely love Uva! It is a great spot to go with friends and get a charcuterie board and wine before lunch or dinner in downtown Plymouth. It's casual yet really nice, and self serve wine! It's a really good place to try wines you may have never had, Need I say more. We just hosted a bridal shower there this passed weekend and it was amazing! From the set up, to food, clean up etc, we were so impressed. Everything looked beautiful and we had a blast. It was nice to do a non traditional brunch and replace it with wine tasting, charcuterie, buffet style pizza and salad. The bride loved it and all the guests were raving. The space is so cozy with the fire place but also light and airy, perfect for a cold February day. It's decorated so nicely that we really didn't need to bring too many decorations which made it so easy. For guests who don't like wine, they had mimosas and lots of craft beer can options too! The staff was awesome at helping us set up and clean up whatever we needed. Katy the owner was wonderful to work with. If you're looking for an event space for anything of about 50 people or less I highly recommend considering Uva! We had a little over 40 people and it was a perfect set up. They do a lot of other events like crafting, live music etc that I would love to go to sometime.

I was going to get a Mai Tai to start off, but they had a ginger pear cocktail that looked amazing and it was really good. I had the brie appetizer and I thought it would have more brie, but instead it had a fantastic entire garlic clove and brie and another accompaniments. For my entrée, I had the short ribs, with truffle risotto, which was also very good although short ribs are usually a bit too fatty for me. A few people in our group ordered dessert and the crème brûlée looked very good as well. I would definitely come back here next time and town, the waitress and staff were excellent too. My only complaint is a very picky one: to get to the restroom, you have to go into a side hallway of sorts, and it has very bright lighting... kind of ruins the nice and soft lighting in the restaurant, like departing the restaurant kind of. That's the only thing I would recommend fixing maybe.

My husband and I came here for our one year wedding anniversary after hearing great things about…read morethe food and the service. We were sat at a nice table by the window, but had to wait about 20 minutes for our waiter to come over and put in our drink order. He was incredibly sparse and pretty short with us until we ordered a nice bottle of wine, and immediately he flipped to being much more friendly and attentive. I got the starter chicken and my husband got the ribeye. The starter chicken was good, but the ribeye was burnt to a crisp on the outside and raw on the inside (we ordered medium rare). When we told the waiter about it, he took the steak and brought it back to the kitchen, then returned to tell us that the owner wouldn't make a new one because he said it was "perfectly fine". Our waiter offered to sub for a burger and take the steak off the check. The burger was good, and our waiter also comped us a dessert, but the service and the owner's reaction left a bad taste in our mouths. We won't be rushing back to try again any time soon.

We parked at the municipal lot. Not too expensive, but honestly, America's Hometown and the town price gouges you. Enter either elevator or four stories of stairs. I recommend bringing a sweater or sweatshirt if you are dining outside. As the sun started to set, the temperature dropped and it was a bit uncomfortably cool. No propane heaters too. Appetizers: I had the unstuffed quahogs... very good, but honestly they were not oven warmed, but more in the cold spectrum. Tasty, but should have come out piping hot. The place was busy, as we had a six o'clock seating; however, we had to wait an hour after the appetizers until we got our entrees. I had the lobster roll, not bad at all, but it came with French Fries and there was no substitution. My bride had the Vegan Bowl and she liked it too. We were at the point to just get it all down our gullets and get the heck out of there. Service was nice and pleasant, but they pushed the drinks and it was a long wait. We left just after eight. I'm indifferent about this place. Might give them another try, but probably not. Between the waiting, cooling temperatures, and kids running around like it was a Chucky Cheese... meh, I could find better. Price-wise it was ok. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

Winsor is Wonderful!…read more I see that Yelpers do not love Winsor due to the low ratings and reviews but I have to ask why. What I will say is if you read these bad reviews you might be surprised at what people complain about. But, on a more positive note, this will be my 3rd time dining here and everytime has been wonderful (hence my title). The food, ambiance, drinks, etc. you really can't go wrong with any of them. And, the drive there is also stunning. Duxbury as you know is a beautiful beach and golf city with million dollar homes along the way. Cha-Ching! I arrived a little early while I waited for my friend to arrive. The restaurant was not overly crowded which was good for a Friday evening. We sat right near the fireplace which was super nice. When my friend arrived we started with some drinks. Then we were so torn as to what to order so we started with their Tuna Crudo. My favorite since it was super fresh, melt in your mouth sashimi. Yummy! Then we shared a salad which was just ok. For entrees, she ordered the Linquine Vongole which looked good but a huge portion. I ordered Fluke for the first time and although it wasn't what I am used to, I still enjoyed it. We passed on dessert and had coffee with amaro; they have some nice after dinner drinks. All I have to say is go see for yourself that this gorgeous, south shore spot is perfect for any occassion. Or even if you want to grab a glass of wine/drink and sit at the bar, that sounds good too! Cheers~!

Considering the prices they charge, a recent experience at The Bistro (which I'll outline further…read morebelow) was entirely unprofessional. Sadly, it seems Mirbeau is now more focused on expansion, vs maintaining the level of quality they used to be known for. So I guess they are going to ride it out for as long as they can, and see how many people will continue to patronize their Mirbeau hotels, spas and restaurants, even as Mirbeau now provides sub-par customer service. Sure, their facilities are luxurious, but all the money put into their physical spaces/buildings pay for themselves, eventually. So how exactly are they rationalizing their astronomical prices, when their overall customer service is so sub-par, and seeing as all their reservation and customer relations have been Outsourced to Third-Parties? Anyway, my family and I have patronized a few of the Mirbeau properties over the years (Plymouth, and in Rhinebeck, NY), and sure...the rooms are very nice...the food is typically very good...and the spa very nice (with treatments ranging from 'OK' to 'quite good', depending on the particular technician). But if you are ever trying to 'reach' someone at Mirbeau, say to make a reservation...ask something about the rooms, or rates...or to provide feedback, you will only get a person located in a 'Call Center', located in god-only-knows what country. In any case, as for our most recent experience at the Bistro. Long story short, staff accidentally dropped/broke some wine glasses right by our table, and subsequently cleaned up the broken glass that was on the floor. One of us had ordered a $115(!!) ribeye steak, and it was only AFTER we asked for the remainder of the steak, to-go, that we noticed...there was a large shard of broken glass UP on our table, that had apparently been there the entire time, and must have ricocheted up, when the wine glasses had broken, earlier. When we expressed concern, upon seeing the glass, with regards to now taking the ribeye leftovers, all the staff did was offer to bring the leftovers back into the kitchen, to 'check' for broken glass. They came back out....gave us the ribeye in a box...said everything looked 'fine'... the manager 'apologized' about the glass on our table, and that was it. No insistence that we NOT take those leftovers home (as any smart, professional manager would have surely done, if not only for liability reasons)....no insistence that they prepare an entirely new order of ribeye for us (on the house)....no offer to remove the charge for the original ribeye...nor any offer to wipe our entire bill. Just a blase apology...and a suggestion that their 'checking for broken glass in the leftovers' would suffice...and 'here's your bill...thanks for dining with us'. Imagine a place such as Mirbeau, that purports to be 'high-end'...that charges $115 for a ribeye steak...that knows we had BROKEN GLASS up on our table...and this is how they handle it? Also consider that after the meal, Mirbeau sent me an automated email asking for 'feedback' on the meal. I outlined exactly what happened, saying that this should be raised with General Manager Sheri Thimas, and one of their Call Center reps replied back to me expressing 'concern'...assuring me that my feedback would be shared with the appropriate managers...and that I'd hear back from someone within 72 hours. It's now been one full week, and nothing. Wow. Just wow.

After our spa day at Mirbeau Spa and Inn, we treated ourselves to a lovely dinner at their…read morerestaurant, The Bistro and Wine Bar.
