Short Rib w/mashed potatoes & spinach, Linguine Mare Chiaro and Italian Beer.

Quaint, but if you need that extra space...this is not for you! Cozy and friendly venue. Mixed drinks are not their thing...stick to their Italian beer and wine. Ravioli with pink sauce was a hit! Delectable sauce all around. I tasted their short rib dish. The sauce was a bit too seasoned for me. Maybe the mashed potatoes is what tames the flavor. Though very tender...friends enjoyed it. Linguini with prawns tasted good but the prawns is what stood out...they had a grilled fresh taste, yum! I'd return for their pink sauce! Outstanding customer service. Merry Christmas World!

Good place if you want to have a leisurely lunch near the Rodeo Drive area. Was in the area mid August on a Saturday and me and my friend decided to just go here. We didn't have any reservations but were seated right away. There were a lot of tables available. Since we wanted a quick lunch we each just had pastas - it didn't end up to be quick as it takes sometime time before our food came out. I think their pizza also looked good but we didn't order any. I had the pappardelle ala norcilla and m friend had the Turtei d' aragosta. My pappardelle pasta was cooked well and you can tell it's made fresh, the sauce for me just had the right hint of truffle - not too overpowering. I actually finished my plate and normally anything too creamy or too rich can be too much for me but this one was just right. My friend's pasta was also good and filling, you can taste the lobster and seafood inside. She seemed to like it but it was heavy for me. The place has high ceilings, typical Italian restaurant vibe with white tablecloth and silverware. Price points around $30+ for our pasta dishes.

We made last-minute reservations on July 4th over the phone, and the staff was very accommodating. They let us sit outside since we had our dogs, which was perfect. Our server was incredibly friendly and upbeat--he truly seemed to love his job, which made our experience even better. The pasta and pizza we ordered were both delicious. Everything was clean, and the food came out at just the right time. Great experience all around!

We made a reservation but needed to sit in the bar side to get happy hour specials (M-F til 6pm). Bar service was very friendly and great knowledge of the alcohol selection! Can be a little dark inside but overall nice. Can dress casual but not shorts/flipflops vibe.

Feels like a quick trip to Italy. The food's amazing, though I was bummed the cacio e pepe wasn't on the menu. The setup is chill and relaxed but still structured, great overall dining vibe. The staff were all genuinely warm and attentive. Definitely the kind of place you want to come back to, for the food & great service.

Came in for lunch without a reservation but were quickly seated. This place seemed like a favorite, within a few minutes, their lunch rush began. They have table dining as well as bar top dining. Their happy hour specials looked great. Ordered the short rib stuffed ravioli. Was a great meal, with rich flavors. Different than the typical pesto stuffed ravioli. Our waiter was from Italy too which made it alll the more authentic. Overall a great place to check out.

Came here for a networking event and the private back room was booked. The event went smoothly and the food at Il Formaio was tasty. Parking garages are available nearby. I had the Caesar salad, chicken, and berry cheesecake - the portions were generous and I did like the service. Our waiter was prompt and efficient; he also constantly checked for water refills, which I appreciated. There are multiple locations of Il Fornaio, but I liked how this was in the heart of Rodeo and so convenient if you're walking around in the area.

Went during lunch without reservation. We were seated quickly. The staff truly makes you feel like your in Italy. Space was decorated with holiday spirit. Their happy hour looked enticing. Would definitely come back to try that in the future. We had the Brussels sprouts with roasted bacon and onion. The ravioli stuffed with short rib entree was delicious. The creamy sauce with the mushroom paired well. They were stuffed nicely.

They have a wonderful happy hour from 4-6p and lots of items on the menu to choose from. I enjoyed grabbing a quick seat at the bar and watching the spinning rotisserie as I awaited my food. Something soothing about it lol The pasta was good but nothing to run home to. I added so much crushed red pepper. The wine was yummy. The brussels were not my favorite. Now as far as the service, I was not too pleased. The server didn't acknowledge me until the woman (a different race) next to me waved him over to assist. It felt a little preferential there but I digress. The space was nice and not too stuffy.

Il Fornaio encapsulates the epitome of a wonderful traditional restaurant in an otherwise opulent Beverly Hills. Excellent , varied menu, served by a trained professional staff . We had the luxury of being served by Marco Leone who exudes energy , knowledge and engaging demeanor. I personally am so tired of all the Beverly Hills corporate restaurants , however Il Fornaio and staff are the epitome of a lovely culinary experiance.

Good: Ambiance is romantic, traditional but not stodgy. High ceilings render the space bright and airy. The location is great for peeking outside onto the street. Bad: Food was passably ok. Bread basket was nice but unfortunately not free...Margherita pizza was probably the best thing we ate. It came with a generous spread of mozzarella and a light, chewy dough. Linguini mare was mediocre at best, the pasta dull and one-dimensional, perhaps a tad overcooked as well. Bolognese was forgettable. Service was friendly but slow. Overall, would not come back.

Great vibe, friendly, and really quality Italian food

Food is delicious. Came in on my birthday and the staff made me feel so special! Service was great. The vibe of this place is nice, lots of regulars that come in makes it feel like a neighborhood spot. The Taormina tiki was insanely delish.

I used to come here much more frequently, but after the "Richard Mille" watch incident during Covid, I honestly stopped coming as often. After my most recent visit, though, I can confidently say I'll be adding it back into the rotation because the service was absolutely amazing. For Beverly Hills, I actually think the pricing here is very fair. Pasta dishes are expensive pretty much everywhere now, especially in this area, but for the location, quality, and overall experience, Il Pastaio still feels like a really good value. The restaurant is also known for its celebrity history, especially Justin Bieber coming here, and they even have the Paccheri Bieber named after him. Naturally, I had to order "Justin Bieber's" dish, the Paccheri Bieber, and it was excellent. We started with the bread, which has a small charge of around $3, and then I had a margarita while my guest had a glass of wine. For entrees, I had the Paccheri Bieber and my guest ordered the spinach ravioli. We finished with the tiramisu for dessert. Everything was amazing from start to finish. The highlight of the experience was our waiter, Antonio. His hospitality was some of the best I've ever had. He was attentive, warm, and professional without being pushy or trying to make us over order like many places do. Parking is what you would expect for restaurants around Canon: you can valet, look for street parking, or park in one of the nearby structures. Five stars. Il Pastaio is still an iconic Beverly Hills restaurant and a must-try if you have never been. Cool Fact: Justin Bieber has a dish named after him and he comes here regularly!

There are restaurants in all the big cities in which I have lived that represent longevity,…read moreimage-power, popularity, and tradition. And, there is usually a good reason for their stardom. While I am a big fan of evolved dishes that are novel and fresh, I have always loved old fashioned, genuine (as in the way they are made in the Old Country) Italian food. Il Pastaio does not disappoint in that respect. I have spent enough time all over Italy, and am part Italian myself, to judge this place a must-try in Los Angeles. We rarely venture into Beverly Hills given what used to be a difficult parking situation. Not with Il Pastaio -- there is free public garage parking almost across the street. If you visit on a Sunday afternoon, you will find a spot effortlessly and you will avoid the crowds. That said, when we arrived around 1:30, Il Pastaio was packed, inside and out. Thankfully we had a reservation and they ushered us to the perfect table, inside (where I preferred to be on a sunny, cool but windy day), next to a bright (and spotless) window. I think there are people who prefer to be on the sidewalk in BH, so they can look for the cognoscenti and affluenti, LOL, but, I don't need to do that -- seen and been seen enough in my long life! Our table was perfect. View my photos. I love the vibe inside. Again, I can happily report, Il Pastaio reminds me of all the fine, small, and exquisite restaurants I frequented in Rome, Florence, and Milan, to name the biggies. The menu is extensive, and even though I had studied it beforehand on their website, it took me at least ten minutes to narrow down all the wonderful vegetarian dishes from which to choose. My photos show which were the lucky winners. There are meat dishes in abundance but, here's the open secret, Italians themselves are not avid meat eaters and all the portions abroad are small, hence multiple courses and few people eat too much at a meal. Lunch and dinner are also leisurely over there because Europeans see a meal as an event, not a blip in their day. The service was flawless, with our Italian waiter, Filippo, treating us as if we were Re Umberto and Regina Margherita. The table was very pretty and there was bespoke olive oil and vinegar ready for dipping the homemade bread that is served steaming in a napkined basket. I could smell it through the entire meal. Even the water came from Italy. Each course we chose came to the table at the perfect temperature, beautifully plated, and the previous were whisked away efficiently as soon as we were finished, as if by magic. All in all, this is a superb Italian restaurant. Fresh and new but traditional and comforting in its familiarity. I know we will return. Molto ben fatto, Signore Drago!

The experience did not disappoint -- it was beautiful from beginning to end. Our extraordinary server was James. He was engaging, attentive and unpretentious. His knowledge of the menu was impressive as he explained each section and item in a simplified way. After making our choices, he suggested changing one of our pasta selections since they all had heavy sauces. We accepted his recommendation of the Spaghetti Arrabbiata, which turned out to be everyone's favorite! The tomato-based sauce was light and perfectly spicy. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING was amazing. The focaccia, oxtail meatballs and burrata with ham were a great start, showcasing the quality of the ingredients and thoughtful preparations -- they set the tone for our entire meal. The taste and texture of the freshly made pastas were unmistakable and so, so good with the wonderful sauces. The lamb chops were well-seasoned and cooked to perfection. I especially enjoyed the bed of sliced snow peas, green beans and English peas set over mint sauce. After all that, we had just enough room for shared desserts -- Budino and Tiramisu. Both were the perfect finish to a delicious meal. If you like chocolate, the Budino is for you -- rich but not overly sweet. Each yummy bite with the crumble topping was nicely balanced by the sprinkled salt. Service was impeccable and well-coordinated. We especially appreciated that dishes and utensils were changed after each course. A couple things to keep in mind: *Reservations - Via Resy. The reservation window is open 14 days at a time. *Parking - Valet is right in front. We found street parking just around the corner on Sunset (metered but free after 7pm). *Price Point - Approximately $100 per person. Mother Wolf is a cashless establishment. Bacari looks small and unassuming from the outside, but the inside has a beautiful courtyard patio…read morewith trees and hanging lights. It was very busy and you definitely need a reservation. Even with our rez, we still waited almost 20 minutes to be seated. The only other thing I did not like about this restaurant (and not much they can do to change it) is that there are only two bathrooms which get veryyyy busy and there is no room to stand and wait so you're kind of in the way the whole time. It's small dish style, so super fun to come with a group and try a bunch of different things. They had a ton of great options for vegetarians! It was a bit chilly outside but they have a lot of heated lamps on which helps a lot. I loved everything we ordered but I think my favorites (as a vegetarian) were the brussel sprouts, salatim, and the elote. The cashew pate and beet dip with the salatim were realllly good. The brussel sprouts were crispy and had a yummy sauce. The beet salad was good but I wanted it to have more of the goat cheese spread. The cauliflower was also really good - roasted and a little spicy. They had a fun list of cocktails and mocktails as well. The food came out at a good pace and I left feeling veryyy full. They were really sweet and even comped the dessert for our party which was very nice. We had the bread pudding and it was sooo good. I highly recommend eating here! It's an experience!

I honestly have no idea how this place has a good rating…read more We ordered, the falafel, the chicken sliders, mushroom pizza, street corn, shawarma tacos. The falafel was super dry - very little flavor. The mushroom pizza was the worst thing I have ever seen. It was some kind of flatbread and they melted some cheese on it that fell off when you pick up a slice, the flavor was bad and the dough is something you would expect at 7/11 The chicken sliders was ok, meat was juicy but no wow effect. The shawarma tacos was ok, we put the street scorn on top of it to get some flavor and make it eatable. I don't think I will come again, only good thing here is the service, top notch. The food not so good.
