The ambiance at this restaurant and food is absolutely amazing however the owner at the establishment is what makes the place as he is the heart and soul. The owner here truly cares about his customers and waitstaff as you can observe him going from table to table checking in and running food out. My boyfriend ordered a steak and it was not cooked properly( requested medium rare was well done ). A second one was brought out and again it was much over cooked then the first( it's ok things happen when it's busy ). The owner himself was like absolutely not that's not acceptable and came over with a third ( on his own accord we would never request another ). It was amazing and cooked to perfection. Everyone else's meal was made perfectly. This place is beautiful, delicious and overall a great dining experience. I highly recommend dining here or hosting a special event. read more

Food was decent, service was excellent. The loud music and ambiance were absolutely awful. Ruined what otherwise what could have been a wonderful meal. read more

Yes, try this place out for sure. The ambiance is chic & modern. The staff is warm & attentive. The food is surprisingly good. The rare gem in The Hudson Valley can be found here. I would revisit this place for occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, special events...or because it's Tuesday. Yes, just say YES!! read more

I genuinely wanted to love this place but it fell very short. The menu sounds great but both entrees were lack luster. The only redeeming part of the evening was the mussels appetizer. The pasta was simply plain and the staff was nothing to be excited about. Our waitress wasn't pleasant for no reason. The atmosphere is modern and clean but loud and unpleasant. Overall I wouldn't return. read more

Ehhhh I've had better. Large hype about this place and I thought that the food was WAY to over salted. Very very salty food. I love salt but WOAH they slipped. Beautiful space. Food ehhhh def have had better. Bar tender (bald guy) wasn't to nice to be honest And then when we sat down service wasn't too great. The design of the place is really modern but it's loud nothing is really sectioned off that well, no noise canceling areas. read more

So my girlfriend and I went in for drinks and apps on Monday night . The restaurant was packed and the service was still impeccable. The atmosphere was lively and beautiful decorations for the holiday . The bartender was excellent. I highly recommend. read more

Wait staff was attentive and helpful. Our meals (pork shank and salmon were delicious). They gave generous portions of wine. Burrata was just ok and tables were very close together. read more

This is a new spot in Fishkill and definitely a place to visit! The decor is trendy and inviting. The food-even better. Their octopus appetizer dish is one of the most tender I've tried in the US. It has hummus and roasted chickpeas to nicely compliment it. Their tagliatelle dish has pasta which you could tell is homemade with fresh seafood to compliment it. The waitstaff are super nice. But be prepared to wait 10-20 min even if you have a reservation and especially if you want a table upstairs. Hence not 5 stars but with COVID, it's understandable as they can't operate at full capacity. read more

Our favorite place in fishkill! The interior design feels like you are in nyc. Everything on the menu is delicious. Great service!

A little bit of Italy in Fishkill New York. Plenty of parking available. The appearance of of the establishment is inviting your party in. inside you will be greeted and shown to your table and server. The inside is the color of Tuscany. The decor is appropriate and relaxing .The music soft and stylish. Your conversation will not be in competition with the back ground sounds.Drinks . The hidden secrets are the bar staff. Experienced in all style of refreshments. The menu is seasonally adjusted. looking for a very good time excellent food.outstanding service. Unfortunately I did not actually eat at this restaurant-- we left due to how crowded the restaurant was and not feeling comfortable with the lack of distancing. There's no possible way this restaurant is adhering to the 50% capacity rule. People were jammed in there elbow to elbow. There was a long line going out the door because they could not handle the volume of diners they had. We had a reservation and upon arrival it was clear that we'd be waiting about 30 minutes after our designated time just to get seated. All the while we'd be standing and waiting in a very crowded area with other people also waiting to be seated. They were completely overbooked and over capacity. It is beautifully decorated and I hope to try it some day. But I can't see myself eating in any indoor setting that is quite so jam packed with people any time soon. read more

No surprise here knowing the history of the owner. 5 stars across the board. I've eaten here twice. The food was fantastic, the service excellent and the decor beautiful. Also made the best Negroni I've ever had . So happy to see a 5 star Italian restaurant within arms reach. read more

Had my husbands 65th birthday celebration at this amazing restaurant! I chose the family style dinner.Everyone was blown away by the delicious food. All 15 were raving! Scott was so accommodating, Heidi is a gem and Tony, the bar tender,is legit the best cosmo maker on the planet! I have not one negative thing to say about this entire event! From the apps to desert.....A+++++++++++++ Thanks to everyone at Il Figlio for making the night awesome read more

I rarely post reviews about restaurants, actually, I rarely post reviews about anything matter-of-fact but this place I couldn't neglect. My friend and I decided to get dinner last minute and randomly stumbled upon this place. We walked in and the place was super busy, always a good sign, and we didn't think we could get a table. The restaurant made accommodations and made us feel welcome and that they would figure something out. Within five minutes we were seated and, honestly, I cannot remember the last time I had a good meal start to finish. The service was excellent, the food was out of this world, every dish was thoughtful and well executed. Sometimes quality of food goes down when the restaurant is really busy. The timing between appetizers, dinner, and dessert was perfect. 10 out of 10 for me. read more

I give it 4 stars for these reasons: We made a 8:30pm reservation, and waited 20+minutes to be seated. That was very unfortunate. Management made up for the wait by offering a free appetizer for us, ready at the table when we were finally seated. Our Waitress Paula, was the star. She took care of us and really was attentive! I am a heavy water drinker and bread eater, but she kept filling my glass up. Probably close to 8 times! the prices are steep, around 30 bucks and entree. but the food was spectacular, we got the duck, chicken, and gnocchi. their mashed Potatoes are spot on! read more

Food was great, service was great but the acoustics so terrible that the 3 of us had to yell to hear each other!  We all decided that we need a more relaxing dining experience and would not be returning. Joan read more

Went with my family for my mom's birthday. Everything was excellent. I don't give 5 stars often. All of the entree's were cooked perfectly. Particularly recommend the NY strip and risotto. Definitely will be back next time I'm in town! read more

This restaurant is such a great place to eat. It gives you that old-school, cultural Italian feel by serving food in courses. There is great flavor in every bite. You will not find your traditional Italian dishes, but you will find them in a more modern, contemporary design that is sure to meet the pallets of all in your dining party. The restaurant is well-organized, clean, and redesigned to create a chic and classy environment. The owner Scott, along with his wait staff, pride themselves on ensuring their customers have the ULTIMATE experience. The service is great and the ambiance is stellar. I highly recommend this restaurant to all! read more

Very good food, fine staff. No lunch yet. Pretty, well thought out considering that it faces an undistinguished parking lot. Bring fat wallet. read more

The food is fresh and well presented. Wait staff is efficient and friendly. The menu covers all areas, not extensive, but there is something for all tastes and preferences. The prices are in line with the quality of the dishes. The only complaint I have is the finish materials used in the furniture and dining area make the place a little loud. We were seated in the back near the Wait Staff station so there was constant traffic and the sound of dishes being moved about.Overall the restaurant is very good. read more

The restaurant is absolutely GORGEOUS. It is beautifully decorated, spacious, and chic.  The bar is amazing.  Even the bathrooms are beautiful! Attention to detail EVERYWHERE. I have eaten here twice now, both times for birthday celebrations. and both times on a Saturday night. The food was excellent. The portions were generous and everything was prepared perfectly. The waitstaff was knowledgeable and attentive. The menu is incredible and so are the nightly specials. Food, drinks and service are impeccable and in a beautiful space! What more could you ask for on an evening out. The physical space of the restaurant is large, so even though they were busy, we had plenty of space between us and the adjacent tables. I am so happy to see a business thriving. This is probably THE BEST restaurant in the Hudson Valley. 5 Stars doesn't seem like enough! I can't wait to return. read more

Second visit and it was even better than the first. Every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. Great modern ambiance. We loved our server Debbie. She made the night even more fun. New favorite place! read more

I recently attended a family event here and everything about our lunch was top notch. The restaurant is gorgeous (we sat in the upper balcony, which was very spacious for our large group) and the service was impeccable. The antipasto platter was delicious and more varied than the usual. The pork tenderloin in fig sauce was to die for. I will definitely be back for dinner with friends read more

I had dinner there with a friend that was excited about the restaurant as a restaurant owner herself. Reservations are a must. The food was good and the service was good, so I booked my husband's birthday there inviting 7 couples. The food was great but the manager was a bit of a snarky bitch when one of my couples dinner was delayed quite a while. He didn't bother to check on their dinner, I had to ask two wait staff to check on their dinner and it finally came. In the end the party went well. But be aware that no matter how much money you spend out if the manager is not hands on its nerve wracking. read more

Delicious friendly staff worth the visit. Great ambience for groups or couples. Had a great cocktail as well!

A surprising find. Sure, it's located in a mini mall, but the interior is lovely, modern and new. Food did not disappoint. The octopus (juicy and crispy) and pastas were delicious, as was the polenta with perfectly browned mushrooms. We ordered a lemon tart for dessert, which was runny and not set. The second one they sent out was also runny - guess it didn't sit long enough - but the waitstaff removed from our bill. Very atmospheric and different from other restaurants in the area. Would definitely return. read more

We went dinner there last night. The place is amazing, I had the shrimp appetizer and the Steak Gorgonzola entree . Both were amazing! Prices are very reasonable and the quality is unmatched! I will be eating there against soon ! read more

Fantastic A-Team service, gorgeous space and amazing food! Just attended a beautiful, private bridal shower on Sunday with 60+ amazing ladies. As a person in the restaurant business, my eyes were on all detail and I can confidently say that Scott and his team have made a lasting impression on me. No element was left undone and all was perfectly executed. The space is so beautiful by design and every inch of it is impeccably kept. Highly recommend for any occasion and a beautiful choice for a classy gathering or event! Thank you Scott and all the Il Figlio team! read more

What a treasure! This Restaurant, while on the pricy side for many meals, is a true gastronomic delight!

I walked in at around 6:40 with my boyfriend and dad on Friday night. The older (bitchy) lady who was the host glanced up as we walked in and did not flash a smile or hello and continued to stare down at the counter till I stood right in front of her and said hello. Not for nothing when entering a fine dining establishment the whole experience starts from the second you walk through the door. At first I thought it was just me, but the dirty snotty look she flashed was obvious to all of us. She asked if we had a reservation and I said no (which for a Friday night you should and I was totally ok and prepared to wait) and then she very quickly said they had nothing available till 8:30. I said that it was ok and she took my info. I had already planned on going else where because knew this lady had some issue that we were not white rich looking fishkill folk or whatever disgust she felt the need to show and gave her my info just to see if she would even call us..She never did. Totally disgusted with how this host approached us and we weren't even called as we had already assumed from the nasty look she gave us she wasn't planning on it. Honey, you're a host please check yourself. I've been serving for 11 years and know the industry is a lot, but from one industry worker to the another ... you are no better than me nor am I better than you. My boyfriend and I love supporting local eateries and I'm sure this place has amazing food, but totally displeased with tonight's interaction. read more

Great food, awesome ambiance and amazing service oh yes, great drinks as well. Highly recommend Il Figlio

Although we have not been to this restaurant we have tried the Garganelli Ai Funghi recipe in the Valley newsletter and it was fantastic. We substituted penne for the garganelli. If this restaurant had a cookbook, we'd be the first .to buy it. If we are ever in the Hudson valley, we'll certainly try Il Figlio. read more

They honored my request to move further away from a large table with a baby as my husband is immunocompromised.

Place was awesome. Great decor. Great Service. Food was awesome. I enjoyed my whole meal. My wife thought her mushroom sauce was a tad salty but she rarely uses salt. The mozzarella app was to die for. The steak was cooked perfect. Wish they had some soup options especially in winter. read more

Had the salmon as take out. Although the fish was cooked well the entire dish was floating in grease and inedible.

Having been stuck inside for well over a year but finally my wife and I are vaccinated and willing to join the human race. We ventured out with another couple to experience this new restaurant. (They had been there before). At first glance the restaurant is quite stunning. We were seated at a table next to the bar and door. At first we thought this could go wrong but we actually lucked out. ( More on that later). Service started out slowly but picked up.) I had the carrpachio for an app. The presentation was beautiful and it was great. My wife had the grilled octopus. She loved it. I had a special...pepe de cacio! It is my favorite dish when I go to Rome, and this was excellent! My wife their signature chucken dish. She couldn't stop raving about it. Now why not 5 stars? The place is very LOUD. With nothing to absorb the noise it was very difficult understanding everything the waiter said.( ok the mask is an issue but the noise level just made it more difficult). Our table shielded us from some noise, so I don't know is the noise level in the rest of the first floor is as loud. With the upstairs section open to the first floor I'm not sure if it would be quieter upstairs. I will definitely go back and hopefully can find a section that is just a bit quieter. read more
