Our server, Jenny, deftly handled the full bar, the bar dining area, and the drink orders for the entire restaurant. Back then, we knew it was special. What we didn't realize was just how much we'd miss it after moving away to Western New York. For this visit, we drove more than an hour out of our way specifically to eat here. That's how much this place means to us. We ordered two mushroom slices, a white slice, and a cheese slice, and every bite reminded us why we've been talking about this pizza for more than twenty years. The slices are huge, loaded with fresh ingredients, and somehow manage to hold their shape perfectly. No floppy crust. No toppings sliding off. Just classic New York pizza done exactly right. In fact, Emiliano's is our gold standard pizza pie. Every other pizza we eat gets measured against it. The mushroom slices were generously topped and packed with flavor. The cheese slice was everything a New York slice should be: simple, balanced, and delicious. The white slice was outstanding as well. While we waited, the owner even brought us a complimentary piece of fried dough, which was a thoughtful and very appreciated gesture. What really stands out, though, is the atmosphere. Service was prompt and genuinely friendly. It seemed like everyone who walked through the door knew somebody. There's a strong sense of community here that feels increasingly rare these days.
