The Hangover Burger, pretty tasty and a bit messy.

This was a wonderful stop, considering it was the first time I've ever tried it. Me and my friend came here for a late lunch, which wasn't too busy at all. Coming in, nobody was to be found, and after waiting for about a minute, the hostess, who in fact was our waitress spotted us, and said we could sit anywhere. The menu has a lot to offer, with pizza being the main offering, not to be surprising, hence in the business name. I was very impressed to see the variety. Most of the items that stick out are burgers (which taste very good), pasta, sandwiches, soup, chicken, you name it. Some of the prices I found seemed to be a bit pricey, considering it's not quite a fancy restaurant. I sure can't wait to make many visits to try each and every one of their items. Our waitress, Casey (who never introduced her name, but found it on the receipt), was okay for the most part, very friendly, but didn't check in with us at all. With the garage doors open, there were a couple of bees flying around, and ended up switching tables, Casey apologized for that. Having peanut allergies, I asked her if the french fries were dipped in peanut oil, checked, and came back and told me they weren't sure, coming to my surprise. I subbed salad instead for my safety. In the evening, I called this location and asked a gentleman about peanut oil, the same answer as before. Afterward, I called the other location in Middletown, and sure enough, they said they DON'T use peanut oil. Talk about craziness, I have mixed feelings about this location, them not knowing one piece of information when it comes to food allergies. Outstanding food no doubt - but customer service needs big improvement at this location.

After a morning and early afternoon of fishing w best friend, Huckleberry Finn (also known as Pots & Pans), we were in the mood for wings and burgers. We split ten teriyaki wings which were good, but we both agreed they were the smallest wings we ever had. And we've had many. And definitely on the pricey side for the size. The burgers, however, were excellent. Nice charbroiled taste, a substantial brioche bun. Comes w fried onions, lettuce, and tomato, or you can opt out of some / all of the toppings. Sides choices were FFs, salad, or curly fries. Our burgers were cooked to perfection. Huckleberry and I both agreed - 3 stars for the wings, 5 for the burger. Overall, 4 stars.

Pleasantly surprised with this find! Pizza E Birra has a nice bar and indoor and outdoor seating. We dined early on a Saturday evening and the restaurant was pretty quiet. We started with the traditional calamari. Unlike most traditional orders, their calamari had some fried red and green peppers in the mix. The peppers had a nice kick, but not overly spicy for those that don't like the heat. We also enjoyed the sliders and chicken cutlet sandwich. We'll definitely be back and for sure need to go for the pizza!

Thai chicken salad - huge pile of warm noodles hiding below the lettuce surface

Food: 4.75 Ambiance: 4 Service: 4 The pizza is amazing! Thin crust, crispy, great flavor. 5/5! My husband got the Sabrina sandwich which was off the hook.. Crispy fresh bread, thin chicken cutlets, pesto, balsamic.. *chef's kiss*. Where I went wrong was in ordering the Thai chichen salad. I knew better, but I was in the mood for some fresh greens. Well... The "salad" was 75% noodles and heavily covered in dressing. Stick with the Italian food here, as the name suggests, and you will be happy! The place looks gorgeous on the outside. In the inside, the decor is nice and sophisticated. Deceivingly to the outside, it's got more of a dressed up bar vibe than I expected. The service was friendly and did all things right, though they seemed a bit distracted. I never knew the makers of planet wings could make such great food! I'll definitely be back.

    Fried Calamari with delicious sauce.

How did we miss this little gem. Let's start by the amazing service by Keri. Knowledgeable, friendly and professional. The fried calamari were the best I have tasted in any Italian restaurant in the area. Three of us had the chicken cutlets, topped with procuitto ham and cheese in a delicious " lemony" sauce. Chicken was so tender, you could cut it with a fork. The other dishes also chicken cutlets with capers, artichoke , roasted peppers and cheese also delicious. The portions are huge, the prices are very good. You must try them.

I've been here 3 times, and every time has been exactly what you'd want: really good pizza, really good beer. Very reasonably priced, and the space is great too (especially on warm nights, when they have the garage doors wide open and the whole place is open air...especially awesome these days!!!) The pizza is almost on the level with Lolita's. One of my dining compatriots wasn't feeling pizza and ordered a burger, and proclaimed it to be "outstanding." I have no reason to doubt! And...I have a special affection for their zucchini strings appetizer, too. Really good. The coup de gras? Live music on Friday nights! As ever, I am a huge fan of any place that supports live, local music. Bravissimo, Pizza e Birra.

My 5th time having their pizza in 2 weeks. Reminds me of NYC pizza with the thin crusts and light sauce and meaty cheese.

We tried all 8 beers they had on tap that day...they offer tastes of each beer for free, and then half pours are $5...all in all, super reasonable. The beers were all light and flavorful, there will certainly be something for everyone in your group. Upon receiving our beer, we went to sit outside and listen to the live entertainment. The man singing and playing the guitar and keyboard had a fun personality and clearly wrote many of his songs. This ever-talented man, after one of his songs, thanked us for coming out and shared that he is the owner of the farm and brewery and that we were experiencing the fruits of 13 years of work by him and his wife. How incredible! Not only is this a beautiful story of a family living the dream, it also made me want to return and spend more time there. There are plenty of chairs and picnic tables to sit at while enjoying your beverages and the music, but we saw an older couple bring their own chairs, which we thought was a good idea. In addition to the by-owner music, they have a variety of board games available to play, along with several bags sets. It's also a dog-friendly spot. If you're looking for a fun way to spend an evening, look no further! Can't wait to visit again.

After checking with his sources, he recommended I try Obercreek, which was a short drive from where we were staying. The great news about Obercreek is that they're a very small craft brewery located on a farm and their focus on small batches keeps everything fresh. The flip side is that their hours are short. I had hoped to get there on Tuesday or Wednesday of my short trip and put my feet up, but their only hours when I was in town were from 4 to 7 on Thursday, and they only sell traditional cans on Fridays. I understand that they sell out their cans pretty much right away. I say all of this just to make sure that you do your homework before heading to the brewery, but you should head there. The beer is very good. The consumer-facing parts of the business are on the far side of a working farm, and consist of a small tap room with some seating and an outside tent-covered seating area. There were some other surrounding structures. I assume that's where they make the beer. They have a few beers on tap. I tried 6 oz pours of an IPA called Celebrity, a DIPA called Passports and a Coffee Stout called French Press, which was made with -- get this -- Pappy Van Winkle coffee beans. All of these beers were very good, and the Celebrity, made with Garston Nelson hops was on par with my favorite New England IPA's, including from the most beloved breweries like Treehouse, Trillium, Etc. Given my family's plans and the limited hours, I did not get to stay as long as I would have liked. The good news is, while Obercreek does not have cans on Thursdays, they do have 32 oz can-like crowlers instead of growlers. So I was able to get a 32 oz of Celebrity to go. I have to shout the service. The person who helped me was invested in the business (perhaps an owner?) and very knowledgeable about their beer and beer in general. He was also very welcoming. He mentioned that they will be relocating to the part of the farm that is more accessible to main roads and the train stop. Sounds like this will likely increase the number of people visiting and perhaps the facilities will be larger and more elaborate as well. 5 Stars. Obercreek is a young brewery that's clearly going places. Make a note.

But wait, instead of the waitress coming to our table to bring water or ask us if we would like a drink, she went to another table with a man and a child that she obviously knew well, and started eating their french fries and talking. That's when we decided to leave and spend our money elsewhere. So unprofessional. That couldn't wait?
