    Rigatoni with sausage -- excellent!

Outstanding Italian restaurant with an excellent, caring staff! I don't know whether it's not considered a family place, but we went one night with friends who had a 4-year-old child. Although she's super well-behaved, it's not a kid-centric place. The servers couldn't have been nicer to her or more accommodating to us. The food was wonderful. Two of us had different pasta dishes (see photos for details), and one had the steak. All three were exquisite. Honestly don't know you can go wrong with this menu! One heads up for anyone who has mobility issues -- getting into and out of the restaurant does require a person to be able to walk down and then up 3 or 4 steps to get in, as well as to use the restroom if needed during the meal. But you can also order food for take-out! Cannot wait to return to this restaurant for another special dining experience.

So the ambience/service at this place is great. The parking lot is nice and big also. The food however, was not the best. We ordered the 'Filetto al Pepe Nero', which is the filet mignon; this came drenched in the cream sauce to the point you couldn't even figure out what was in the plate. It looked like soup. We also ordered the Ravioli al Funghetto, which is ravioli with spinach and ricotta, in mushroom purée sauce. This also came drenched in the cream sauce and so much oil!! For the dessert, I got the chocolate lava cake, which the lava part had already came apart prior to them even bringing the dessert to the table. I think the scoop of vanilla ice cream on top made the cake explode before it even reached us. And we also ordered the rice pudding, which looked like a cappucino in the cup. Overall, I wouldn't come back here.

Delicious from start to finish -- the zucchini and bread was pure perfection. Authentic Italian cuisine. Highly recommend.

Amazing food and location. A romantic upscale Italian restaurant with delicious wine. Highly recommend but come hungry.

    Stuffed double veal chop entree

Make your reservations!! The food, service, and ambiance of this place are some of the best I have experienced anywhere in the Hudson Valley. The portabello, prosciutto, and Mozzarella appetizer was probably the single best appetizer I've ever had!! The stuffed veal chop entree was equally delicious, the drinks were on par, and dessert was devine! The table next to us had a filet and lobster tail with shrimp that also had my mouth watering. Also, if seafood is your thing, this place has some absolute winners, I'm told. Don't get me started on the service... not enough room here! They definitely made us feel like regulars, who were also family. Absolutely amazing evening....

Our special occasions place to go! We love, love this restaurant. Every meal is delicious, we have been coming here for years and every meal has been amazing, full of flavor, the drinks are also on point. Recommend making reservations. I love the outside seating during warmer weather. Finally pricy but so worth it!!! A must go!

Leaving with a biggest smile. I am thrilled to have celebrate the perfect birthday

A 40th birthday surprise dinner went off without a hitch. Rita's attention to detail was expressed through the most beautiful stable scape. It is clear her passion is making sure people have an amazing dinner and enjoy a beautiful ambience. As always, the food was amazing and the service was impeccable. The staff was attentive and allowed the party to move at its own pace. I am so thankful all the staff that always make our visit memorable.

Not much for decor, it's old & needs a facelift. But the food is pretty good. The drinks are good. The staff is friendly.

First time being on Main Street in Beacon, and I must say there is a good scene happening here…read more Plenty of options for food but we chose here. TVR is a restaurant/record store/hangout. We went around 5pm, and saw the sign "Seat Yourself & Order At The Bar". Ok... So I asked a bartender for 2 menus, and found a booth. We decided quickly, and I made my way to the bar. Others were ahead of me, so I patiently waited to order: Tripple Smash Burger, Honey Buffalo Salad, Purple Rain (2), Diet Coke. I paid at the bar, served the drinks and waited for our food. The music was 80's MTV Themed {Pat Benatar, Bon Jovi, Bruuuce, Billy Idol}. Jenga, Horrible Couple and Cards Against Humanity were on the tables to pass the time. Or flip through the many records available for purchase until the food arrives. The salad was large in size and very good. Been a while since I had a burger, and this filled the void. Fries were not that hot, but we ate them anyway. Afterwards, we went downstairs and played some old school arcade games and then headed out. Upon leaving we saw someone was having a birthday party, which was nice to see. I'm sure in the summer this place gets packed. They also have a selection of draught beer (The proper way to spell it). Good choice for food, although it wasn't cheap. Bill w/tip was $100. I think having a server on staff for all hours would be a good decision for TVR to make, in order to TCB !

You can scan the vinyl for sale at the in store record shop, hit the arcade games and chill in the lounge/speakeasy downstairs, play board or card games at a table near the bar, and try the delicious crafted cocktails! Oh, there's alsoa food menu! We had to sit ourselves and order at the bar but the honey buffalo salad and burger were (surprisingly) some of the best bar meals I've had. I'll go anywhere to look at Bruce Springsteen's face and get buzzed off a martini called Purple Rain. Count me in girrrrl

It's one of those places where you can immediately tell the owners care about both the food and the overall experience. The atmosphere is beautiful. The restaurant has a classy, Great Gatsby-inspired feel with elegant décor, plenty of space, and a spotless dining area. I loved the attention to detail, and the bar area is especially charming--it's the kind of place where you could easily stop in just for a glass of wine. We started with the hummus served with warm pita bread, and it was fresh, creamy, and full of flavor. The chicken empanadas were another favorite--crispy, flavorful, and served with fresh pico de gallo that complemented them perfectly. I also enjoyed a glass of wine, and it paired beautifully with the meal. What impressed me the most was the hospitality. My daughter wanted fries, even though they weren't on the menu, and the chef was kind enough to prepare a fresh order just for her. That thoughtful gesture meant so much and really showed how much they care about their guests. The service was exceptional. The chef came out to greet us, and our server was attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. Before we left, they mentioned they have live music on certain nights, which gave us yet another reason to come back. This is truly one of Beacon's hidden gems. Between the delicious food, beautiful atmosphere, outstanding service, and genuine hospitality, it's a place I'll happily recommend. We already know we'll be back!

Between the delicious food, outstanding service, and breathtaking views of the Hudson River and the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge, it's always a great experience. The staff is consistently friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. The servers know the menu well and are happy to make recommendations, making every visit feel relaxed and enjoyable. One of our favorite times to visit is for their weekend brunch buffet, which offers a great variety of options. During the week, their Happy Hour (4-7 PM) is another favorite, especially the $1 oysters. It gets busy, so I definitely recommend arriving early. Just keep in mind that Happy Hour is available only in the bar and lounge area. The restaurant is clean, has a spacious parking lot shared with the neighboring restaurant, and offers a beautiful outdoor patio overlooking the river during the warmer months. The patio closes for the winter, but it's one of the best places to dine when the weather is nice. They also have a kids' menu, although my 6-year-old usually orders from the regular menu because she has a very adventurous palate. If you're looking for great seafood, excellent service, gorgeous waterfront views, and one of the best dining experiences in Newburgh, Blu Pointe is an easy recommendation. We went for a late lunch and were pleasantly surprised by how attentive the service was. The setting alone is quiet, scenic, and relaxing, adding to the experience feeling special. We're particular about cocktails, and the specialty drinks leaned a bit sweet and light for our taste, but switching to a Grey Goose martini solved that quickly. The standout of the meal was the special appetizer, the Lobster Escargot. Between the bread service and the rich, bisque-like sauce layered over the classic preparation, I could have happily ended the meal right there. We left no trace behind. I followed with the crab cake and wedge salad. The crab cake was generously sized, very fresh, and exactly what I hoped for. My husband ordered the branzino, which was absolute perfection, beautifully cooked and full of flavor. The sides, however, were less memorable; the smashed potatoes and green beans felt under-seasoned and a bit boring compared to the rest of the meal. Overall, it was a lovely anniversary lunch with memorable dishes and a beautiful view.

The main theme seems to be fresh fish, seafood, and it seems fresh everything else. (Confirmed that they get fresh shipments daily). With reservations for 9 at 6:30 on a Monday, where many places are closed, we walked into a fully booked restaurant. Our giant table stood out amongst all the other full tables that were in various stages of dining. So, we took up a decent amount of the restaurant space. A reunion with family and so were happy to talk and have some bread, and drinks while they were wrapping up their other patrons also enjoying themselves. The main purpose seemed to be to time taking our orders in a way that they would come out properly. As the food came out, it was one wonderful dish after another. I could name and describe eschar one, but fresh and flavorful is the best way. I can imagine that at the time when we arrived that the kitchen was hopping. The chefs seemed to focus very well on each individual order, so of course it took some, but not excessive time. As it took a little while to start we also were not rushed out. Perhaps if we had gotten there at 5 then I suppose we might have been moved along some, since restaurants need to get some turnover at the peak hours, we were happy to offer some well rewarded patience, which was reciprocated with polite, warm, service and great food. This is a regular place for locals who know what they like. It is well worth putting some effort in to explore the various foods and drinks offered, as they were all exceptional. So, I must give it 5 stars. The food is fantastic, the atmosphere is unique and actually stunning, especially during daylight where you are overlooking the Hudson and into the mountains across the river.
