We had Kurtis as our server, a true class act. It was my wife's Birthday and he made it very special. The food was the best in Texas, Chef Eric is amazing, a true professional, Ernest is THE BEST MANAGER IN THE WORLD. You see I am the world's best former waiter and I can spot talent a mile away. Love ya Ernest!!! The manager Jeff was super cool. The sommelier on duty was very informative, we had the 10,000 bottle of Screaming Eagle (just kidding, we drank chardonnay, lol.) Kurtis had roses on the table for my wife, truly one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. As a Cannabis Entrepreneur I can truly say the Steaks well worth the price!!! 3 Forks Austin is the official restaurant for Big Dan and family... This place is THE BEST!!!! #googlebigdanaustintexas read more

We decided to come here for my boyfriends birthday. We started with the calamari which came out crispy and thick. We waited a bit for our entrees but it was worth it. The steak was perfectly tender and juicy, very fresh while my cauliflower steak was crispy and flavorful. I also got the sautéed mushrooms on the side which was my personal favorite. We weren't sure if would be enough food and we finished the meal stuffed. Our waiter Matt, even went out of his way to reheat my boyfriends steak and bring out a dessert! Great start to our stay here in Austin read more

We made a reservation for 9 people here and they booked us in a private room. We ended up with a couple cancellations and there were six of us dining last night. We offered to move from the private room but they let us keep it, which was great for talking business. We ordered appetizers and drinks. The service was amazing. At certain points there were three people in the room changing the table settings, clearing plates, bringing drinks, etc. It has been a long time since I have experienced this quality of service. For the main course most of us ordered steaks. The sides are served family style. We got Nashe potatoes, brussel sprouts, mushrooms. I got their 8 oz filet mignon. It was cooked perfectly and mouth watering good. We ordered desert and shared several options recommended by the waitress. All said with drinks, appetizers, food and deserts, our bill with tip was $190 per person. You could get out for under 100 if you scaled back drinks. Bottom line, it's on the more expensive side, but the quality and service matches the price. It's not a place to bring the kids, but if you have a special occasion or business dinner, you will not be dissatisfied. This is a 5 star place! read more

Hands down one of the best steakhouses I have ever been to and would highly recommend going to if you're ever in town. From the service to the food, everything was spectacular. We ordered 2 tomahawk ribeyes for the table and the server was kind enough to cut it up for us. For particular items on the menu, you are even able to select your own type of steak knife to eat with. They bring it out in a fancy box for you to choose from. Halfway through the meal they also give complimentary green onions and tomatoes as palate cleansers. The service was top notch as well. Our water was never low, and everyone was so attentive to our needs. We even noticed that our plate was preseasoned. Can't recommend this place enough. read more

In town for a work session and we went here for dinner. It was a table of about 10 and the service was impeccable. Seating was on time, drinks came promptly, server did a great job with the wine selections. Most of the table had the bone in filet which was great, I had the fish special which had a lobster risotto that was perfect. The table favorite was definitely the lobster Mac and cheese. Forgot to take pics which sucks because it was All wonderful read more

my husband and I came here after a comedy show recently and this was a experience. the staff was friendly, knowledgeable but not pushy with upselling. we split the 32 oz tomahawk and added bleu cheese crust on it and it was perfect. chefs kiss for sure! ive been to many steakhouses in a few different states such as Ruth Chris, Brazilian steakhouses etc but i can confidently say this was the best steak I've ever had. we got the spinach and artichoke dip as an appetizer and it was surprisingly good, I'm picky so I excepted not to like it but I loved it. we got some sides such as the lobster Mac and the potatoes and both were really good. the staff served cut our steak and served our sides. 10/10 would recommend. oh forgot to add we got drinks and they were made well. Had the privilege of having our pre Bocelli dinner here. Our server Eric was excellent and well versed in the entire menu. We began with the " Off the cob-cream corn " & " roasted Brussel sprouts " . Without question the best Brussel sprouts I've ever had, thia sweet chili infused and roasted to tender perfection. My wife ordered the 10oz filet warm center rare. Each bite melted in the mouth, due to being cooked with precision. It was the 16oz strip for me " medium " . All with the III Forks signature " Kings Butter " an absolute MUST! A wonderful house red that complimented both cuts. Desert was " Cheese cake " for me & " Grand Marnier" Crème brûlée for my wife! I highly recommend this restaurant, but urge people not to eat and run as you will only rob yourself of the amazing food as well as the diligence and hard work that the entire staff provides! We will definitely be back! Bravo III Forks! read more

IF YOU ARE POC DO NOT COME TO THIS RESTAURANT. My friends and I are here on vacation from the Bay Area and we were ignored for 30 minutes while we watched people being served around us. People that were not POC. This is an expensive menu and if you value yourself, don't come here. Go elsewhere so you will be treated with respect and kindness. Food wasn't very good either. read more

Food service and ambience was all 5 stars as should be minimum expectations for the prices. No complaints.

We wanted a date night out and found lll Forks and decided to try it. We were not disappointed. The dining area was beautiful and they had a lot of awesome old photos of Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, & Debra Winger as Sissy! The staff, service, and food were excellent! The price was higher than we anticipated but worth it. I have never had a steak melt in my mouth, cooked perfectly and tender. We will be dining here again. read more

This is one of the best steakhouses I've been to! I was able to make reservations for Austin Restaurant Week for my birthday dinner on a Saturday night with a small group of friends. The atmosphere when I walked in is very upscale and intimate. I loved the live band they had playing, it really set the mood to a fancy dinner. For the ARW menu, I opted for the salad, 6oz. Filet mignon and the bread pudding. This 3 course menu was only $45 which was a great deal! The salad was a walnut apple salad with balsamic dressing which was solid and something that I have made at home myself. The filet mignon was superb and was cooked perfectly. It was nicely seasoned and the plate had excellent flavors! The mashed potatoes and cream corn was excellent as well and paired nicely with the steaks. The dessert was the least of my favorites. I felt it was missing rum/raisins. But nonetheless it was good. The service was excellent here. Our waiter had a good sense of humor and was very informative and professional read more

Very solid steakhouse in Downtown Austin with a beautiful setting and low noise level. Service is great and very attentive. They are known for the Tomahawk steaks which are fantastic. Perfectly seasoned, flavorful, and tender with the right amount of marbling. I highly recommend the tomahawk ribeye which was very flavorful. The lobster Mac and cheese was decent but the sauce was a bit too dense. The mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts were solid but on par with any other steakhouse. The must try is definitely the bread pudding which tastes like baked French toast with cinnamon ice cream: decadent and flavorful. Overall a very good if pricey pick for a nice dinner out. read more

My friend had been here and always wanted to go back so we chose this spot for our annual xmas dinner. We started with apps: calamari - okay but ordinary. The absolute worst crab cakes I have ever tasted. Mushy, very odd aftertaste. All 5 of us were disappointed and you should have a clue that when the dish has more than a half a cake on it, something was not good. The III Forks salad was delicious. I had the "to die for bone-in filet." The filet had absolutely no seasoning. It was cooked to order MED RARE, but it was certainly not spectacular. The sides were absolutely boring. Lumpy mashed potatoes with again, no seasoning. Green beans... uh, ok. Sautéd mushrooms were average. Could have used more of them. Server Matthew was appropriate. Seemed to know wine menu. Ambiance was old-school fine dining. There are other places I'd prefer to visit than here for the money. Average. read more

Happened to be staying in Austin at the Line Hotel for a business event, and needed a quiet classy dinner spot. We ended up at lll Forks and could not have been more pleased. The quality of service and food was 5 Star plus... Server and house manager (I think) were super attentive without being overbearing. Wine list was on point and cocktails were excellent. The ambience and vibe compared to a high end restaurant in NYC, Chicago, SF or even Paris. A true gem in the heart of ATX. read more

Oh my goodness!!! This place is a 10 out of 10. Our server Sherry was incredible. So funny and incredibly informed on the menu as well as off menu items. I got the filet with King's Butter and my boyfriend got the ribeye with the King's Butter as well. I was iffy on adding the King's Butter because it's an additional $16 but holy moly is tasted SO GOOD. It was another review on here that made me consider getting it, and Sherry said it was very good. Their mashed potatoes are soooo good. As well as the 6 cheese potatoes. I'd like to try the lobster Mac or creamed corn next. One thing we were sad about was them not having any regular Mac and Cheese available. I think they would absolutely kill it if they made one. Anyways, I cannot wait to come back!!! read more

While I am more of a pub guy, I can appreciate a good steakhouse. A recent visit to III Forks in downtown Austin for my girlfriend's work dinner turned out to be a phenomenal experience. Earnest ushered us into our private room like a secret service agent protecting a dignitary, oozing class and professionalism. Gina, Rama, and Ben were polite, prompt, and incredibly efficient in greeting us with drinks and appetizers. They later were reminiscent of orchestra conductors in taking orders and serving food to a large group. This was literally some of the best service I've ever seen. The food was fantastic: overwhelmingly fresh ingredients and choice selections put together by a chef who obviously is a master of the craft. The interior of the restaurant was exceptionally clean and comfortable without being stuffy. Everyone in our party seemed very happy with the dinner, and I can say truthfully that I was resoundingly impressed. My compliments to the staff of III Forks. read more

Not gonna make my A-list for Prime Steakhouses. Great service and good ambiance but the real measure of a $70 steak is flavor and getting the temperature right. All 4 of our steaks were flavorful and all 4 were undercooked. Unacceptable and at that price point we won't be back. read more

Great service, great atmosphere and even better food. The American wagyu was to die for. We had toe crab cakes and lobster bisque for a small dish, both very delicious. It was my birthday so no charge at all they had cake slices for me. The chocolate one was my favorite. The parking garage located next door was great to have so we didn't have to park downtown and walk for. The resturaunt provided the valet parking not for free though. 10/10 would come here again read more

I was in town for a bachelor party with a group of 12 which in a city like Austin is hard to get dinner with a group that size and especially when you wait till last minute to try and make a reservation but III Folks came through. Even funnier though is that the grooms wife to be also worked at the Jacksonville III Folks all through college. Our waiter quickly came over and took our order. I asked if they had a bourbon list and they did. I got the EHT Single Barrel and it was the best price I had seen so I had to give it a try and glad I did. We all ordered steaks and a number of sides. For my steak I went with the 22 oz USDA Prime Boneless Ribeye cooked medium rare. Our food quickly came out and everything at our table was cooked perfectly so great job by our waiter and the chefs. My steak was delicious and cooked to a perfect medium rare. Very tender and not a bit tough. The fat also melted in my mouth with just the right amount a seasoning and flavor. Our waiter did make sure to let us know if was needed more sides just to let him know and they would be out quickly. My favorite sides were the Lobster Mac & Cheese and the Fried Brussels Sprouts. The Mac & Cheese was very rich and creamy just with way I like it. I also was shocked by how much I liked the Brussel Sprouts. Everything really is just better fried. Great job by the whole staff and would highly recommend for a nice dinner for a large party. read more

We came here for the wagyu tomahawk ribeye and they were sold out. That's fair because we didn't sit down to eat until about 9 pm. We ended up getting the wagyu ribeye and it did not taste like wagyu and it was not warm. Definitely not worth the $164 and it was pretty bland. The shrimp cocktail came with cocktail sauce and they poured it right on top of the shrimp. I've never experienced that before. It ruined it. The shrimp itself was good just not drenched in sauce. The lobster MAC. Holy hanna I have never had lobster Mac that was this bad. Kraft Mac abs cheese tastes better. And the mashed potatoes were flavorless and came out late. I expect much better flavor and quality for this price tag. The blue olives in the martini were good, I wouldn't recommend spending money here. Go have pizza instead. read more

I don't get to get expensive steaks a lot, but it was my birthday and I wanted to indulge. I saw III Forks and made a reservation. We arrived and the staff was so friendly and helpful, immediately wishing me a happy birthday which was really sweet. They were attentive, refilled our waters, worked as a team to make sure our table was getting the best service. Melinda was our server and she made amazing suggestions, gave superb service, was attentive to our table and was so lovely. We really loved her. The wine was great, the cocktails she suggested were so delicious, the entrees/sides she suggested were all tasty and satisfying. I never expect anything free at a restaurant for a birthday, but oh my God they did some amazing presentation; two mini pieces of different cakes on a plate with a little candle and chocolate stenciled "Happy Birthday" on it along with a couple of little Baileys drinks (we ordered the Creme Brulee as well because how could we not?) and I was living. The manager stopped by a few times (off topic but ooooh he's cute!) and checked on us. He was friendly and also wished me a happy birthday and the whole experience was just out of this world. My friends and I were impressed the whole way through. III Forks definitely jumped to the top of our "places we have to come back to" list. Every so often you have to treat yourself out, and I just really wanted to feel special and eat some fancy, well prepared food. And they knocked it out of the ballpark. I'm going to be living on this wave of positivity they gave me for a whole year. Thanks, III Forks!! read more

We spontaneously popped in here for a quick dinner, after we had just parked for a concert at ACL live. Had not been in years. Love this place! While it is a bit pricey, the food is always top-notch. Service is impeccable. We had Danny as our server and he was super attentive, delightful and the food came out very quick. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak, and devoured it. Usually everything is à la carte in terms of side dishes (which is meant for multiple people with large portions to be shared), but the chicken fried steak included two for the price which is nice. For some reason, I was craving a hamburger and Danny guided me to the mushroom burger and it was perfect. The bun/bread is fresh and moist, and the flavor of the burger was delicious! He surprised us with two little slices of birthday cake for my husband. I would definitely recommend a for a date night to go to this place! It's a great (fancy) option downtown. read more

Rating for delivery (through Favor). So assume things are generally better in the restaurant. It was my birthday, and I have a birthday curse, especially when it comes to food, especially at restaurants. After some online delivery ordering fiascos and a fake website redirecting to UberEats/Postmates, I finally got the order sent through favor. Fast delivery time, BTW, which was taking a chance, with steak. The meal was ribeye with the brussels sprouts and lobster macaroni and cheese. I figured there'd be leftovers, which there was. Brussels sprouts were delicious, even at delivery temperatures. Great caramelization and good balance of sweet and tart, with crunch that didn't feel like eating raw veg thanks to the limited, but wonderfully gooey sauce. And just enough of loose leaves to make it addictive. The kind you end up regretting just a little having because you eat too much at once. Who wants leftover brussels sprouts anyway? The lobster mac was just meh, and clearly sliced out and topped up with cream added from a big bulk pan. I don't mind the bulk part, although that seemed like too big a cheat for such an expensive dish ($20). There wasn't hardly any lobster. And frankly, my leftover mac and cheese looks better. And tastes better. Not worth $10, let alone twice the price. It tasted the same the next day. This kept it from being a five star meal. The steak, the star of the meal, was well seasoned and perfectly cooked to rare. It wasn't blue-black, not medium, but solid rare. Not too much fat in the cut. It was tender and delicious. The kind that you don't regret heating up as leftovers the next day, when it ends up medium-rare. It also got served with a huge hunk of brioche type bread -- a giant sized roll, with some soft butter. The 'sides' are really entree size themselves, and would be good for a table of 2-4 people, depending on appetites. All in all, it was worth the order fees and the tip, and still very good with the delayed eating time that is part of delivery logistics. Birthday food curse broken. read more

The food and drinks here were excellent . The waiters were wonderful. But the management was horrible. On 11-09-2024 Mu friend had her Vowel Renewal here, she rented a private room for this occasion . One of the guest noticed that the menu was changed from the one that they sent her for her guest to choose there food. she then asked the manager could her guest order outside of the menu they had on the table, because menus's were changed. At that time the Manager Told her that we couldn't order outside of that menu. At that point she explained that the menus were changed (respectfully). He then told her to get her shit and get the fuck out!!...long story short he had a bad experience with a customer before us and took his frustration out on us. She had a party of 30 guest.
