We arrived here just after 7:00am and we were the only ones here, which surprised us. Our local IHOP is usually half filled at 7:00am. Our server was excellent! We had a great conversation with her while we waited on our food. My wife order the 2+2+2 meal, with 2 eggs scrambled, 2slices of bacon, and two pancakes. Her eggs were cooked perfectly as she is picky about having her scrambled eggs cooked well and not chopped up. I ordered the spicy pablano omelette with pancakes. This omelette is my go to when visiting an IHOP, and this one did not disappoint. It was perfect, as well as the pancakes. Our server was a joy! The restaurant was clean, including the bathrooms. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit to this IHOP and I am sure we will be visiting it again as we drive through Slidell often. read more

We usually come every Sunday and ask for the same server, Ms Kim. She knows our order by heart and is a very gracious even though it's hot as heck in the restaurant area. The summer is sweltering and the A/C in the restaurant can't keep up. They have added fans and pulled the shades down but it just not enough. We get to leave but the staff can't. I can't even begin to imagine what it's like for the cooks. Corporate IHOP should be ashamed of treating their employees this way. Bet if the corporate executives had to work under these conditions, things would change quickly. We all have choices and many of the regulars aren't coming back until the air is working. It may cost to fix the air but is it worth loosing your regulars and those that stop in and may never return because of the discomfort. IHOP corporate, think about your employees and patrons. I gave 3 stars for service and food only. If it would have been for the ambiance, I would rate it a 1 until the air is fixed. This is South Louisiana for gosh sakes. read more

Asked for a "spicy poblano omelette," and the young man (who's also the host because they're severely understaffed) comes back and says, "We are out of egg whites, so we can't make omelettes." Awful and unreliable service. Placed a to-go order for curbside pickup for 12pm. My husband went in at 12:05pm to check on the order and they said it would be another 5-10 minutes. After 40 minutes they said our order will be ready "soon"... still didn't have it after another 20 minutes. We left and never received our food after waiting over 90 minutes past the pick up time. Greeted quickly by the hostess and walked over to a booth. Tables are blocked off for social distancing. Promptly greeted by our server, Shawn. Disposable menus as well as qr options are available. Shawn kept my coffee cup fresh and out food came out in a timely fashion and was all cooked to order. Overall a very good experience. I'll never come back. My french toast was raw. My hash browns were raw. The eggs tasted like they came out of a pint carton. The sausage tasted undercooked. I feel sick to my stomach from the french toast, which is probably because of the rawness- the raw eggs used to make it. I left most of my food, I could not continue to eat this. After I got a notification that my takeout order was almost finished. I walked inside they said it would be a few minutes, no problems there. After about 5 minutes they came back to me and said that it would be about another 10 minutes because they had not turned there cooler on. I don't understand why a restaurant that has been opened for an hour and a half and supposedly ready to serve people did not have their cooker on. I went to iHop this morning to try one of their new French Toast creations. IHop's almost daily TV commercials have been very effective. Looking at the choices between two types of cream-filled donuts and an apple fritter and thinking that the fritter would be less in calories, I chose the fritter. The menu listed the contents: warm apple fritter dipped in vanilla French toast batter, griddled and topped with cinnamon apples, powdered sugar and whipped topping. It was very good. IHop frustrates me. I used to eat here all the time. Now it's only once in a great while. I don't like that every time I visit they have raised the prices and cut the portions. I get the breakfast sampler and the portions just get smaller and smaller. I about laughed when I saw the size of the bacon strips this last time. The sausage links are much more narrow than they used to be and the ham is about half of what you used to get. I usually love IHOP, one of my favorite restaurants. But this one has failed me not once but twice. I ordered my meal through waitr about an hr ago and received an old burnt omelet, missing fruit, and no filling for my crepe. I contacted them asking if I could just bring the food in myself and they remake my omelet and give me what is missing and they said no I had to go through waitr. Tried contacting waitr and of course customer service was not open due to it being a Saturday. Needless to say, I wasted $40, I am currently hungry, and no longer eating at this restaurant. Decided to have breakfast for dinner and what a mistake. The server was so rude, didn't refill our drinks, brought us the wrong food order after taking forever to bring out our meals. We had to ask for everything she didn't offer napkins or ask us if we needed anything. This was one of the worst dining out experiences iv had in a long time. Also the food was very bland and cold. The service here was absolutely rude. The host, was by far the worse part of the restaurant. Between the Obnoxious smacking of the gum to the eye roll and contact hand gestures into my face. To the disrespect of her laughing at a guest who spoke nothing but Spanish and proceed saying she is a woman of color why would she speak Spanish and just pointing to them to sit down. Or when a family of 2 asked how long the wait was she said it was 30 minutes but proceeded to sit the family that came in behind them of 4 right away. Oh did I mention there was no air conditioning.
