Even though he was working overtime and no one else showed up, MD still managed to handle every full table with such kindness and efficiency. Another update. There must be something going on at night/late hours here.. because I was dragged here against my will in the day for breakfast/brunch, knowing how my previous visits at night/late have been among the most horrible I've ever experienced in a restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised. We were greeted with a friendly smile, tended to right away, and seated within seconds. Or waitress, Laura, was super friendly, attentive and refilled our drinks without us ever having to ask. The food was served accurately to our orders, fresh, and tasted great. I guess never come here at night/late hours because it's been consistently horrible. But my experience in the late morning/day was very nice. Hopefully it wasn't a fluke! read more

Seriously I thought maybe it's one mistake. I ordered a breakfast meal and asked for egg over medium. And as you can see the photo of my breakfast on March 20th it was scrambled eggs. When I ordered today the same meal with egg over medium. I received scrambled again. What's going on ? read more

I can say this place is a hit or miss... service can be better, food can always be better, cleanliness and quality is the issue here. I remember coming here back in high school and it was honestly a good experience don't know where things started charging and going downhill, hopefully they can raise their standards and get back up to their old ways. read more

Came for late night pancakes- Paula was excellent, she made our night!! Best service and so sweet/attentive.

Waitress was extremely accommodating and the food along with the service was fast and tasty. My daughter and I definitely enjoyed our breakfast on national pancake day! read more

Haha~ I feel foolish to have to keep changing my review from good to bad to great.. But.. I received a call from their district manager(?) named Hermand (I hope I didn't butcher his name) but he had received my feedback (not from Yelp, but I contacted them via their website, using the Contact Us form). And I must say, Hermand definitely didn't disappoint in making ME, as the consumer, happy and willing to give IHOP a second chance. He gave me two options: 1) Complementary meal of $40, on the house or 2) A full refund. I have yet to decide which one of the latter I'd take.. BUT.. I'm VERY pleased with the way IHOP has chose to handle this situation. So from a customer service standpoint, I give y'all an A+! I hope in the near future, my order will be edible and not overcooked or over prepped! Gee, this is one of my favorite locations and I was so disappointed to see the quality of the food has gone down since the pandemic I guess? We ordered breakfast to go and these are the sad bananas along with my pancakes! I had to pick all the bananas out. The strawberries were somewhat edible. Overpriced food for bad quality! I come here every so often to eat, I am aware the service isn't top notch but I would hope that the servers check the expiration dates when serving food. Or at least checking when shipments get delivered. I order my usual with chocolate milk. The chocolate milk was slimy and had bubbles on top. I took the smallest sip and it was sour. I proceeded to ask what drink I was served, she stated it was chocolate milk. There was no apology or acknowledgment of serving a rancid milk based product.. This is my favorite ihop to visit with my son. Usually a wait but the customer service never disappoints.

I used to love ihop as a kid. You only had a few choices back then for Sunday breakfast and IHOP was always one of the top picks. So it's surprising that the quality has seemed to diminish so much. Went here the other day and couldn't decide what I wanted so I went with the 2/2/2. 2 pancakes 2 strips of bacon or sausage and 2 eggs. Well, the shirt and long of it was the eggs were the best part. How can you screw up eggs? The pancakes were over cooked and the bacon literally was 1 piece that they had cut in half and passed as 2. I've worked in the restaurant industry for many years. There's no way bacon slices are that tiny. I asked the waiter and he just said yup that's 2 slices. Sadly it wasn't worth the $11 you get charged for it. There are so many choices for decent breakfasts and a decent price now that it's hard to say this was ok cause it wasn't. read more

I celebrated my birthday at the Glendale Ave. IHOP. It was a perfect choice. Everyone enjoyed their food, especially my grandson. All the food was eaten, including the 4 chocolate chip pancakes that my grandson ate. I didn't expect fancy food, just IHOP fare, omelettes, pancakes, scrambled eggs, and that is what I got. Our waitress was sweet and very good at serving our table. There is nothing else I could ask for, easy parking, easy seating, relatively quiet at lunch time , and pancakes for all. It's an IHOP so don't go expecting something different. The portions are huge and prices are pretty standard. We had great service on two different visits. Visiting from out of area. Arrived here in 9pm hour. Family of 4. Very few patrons. Seemed clean. Server "Blanca". Two kids ordered breakfast items. Husband ordered a burger combo. I ordered Roast Beef with green beans. Each person received plate at separate intervals. My green beans were supposed to be cooked in garlic butter, they were not. When I raised this with server, "oh NO my dear, they're not supposed to have that". (Red flag: argumentative coupled with cheesy term of endearment = condescension) I AM NOT your "dear"! I showed her the description IN THE MENU, she left to take up matter in kitchen. She returned stating that the menu has changed, that they no longer cook the green beans this way, with garlic butter - BUT FOR ME they would make this exception. (RED FLAG: The menu says what it says, it should be honored - and honoring it is NOT as a FAVOR to customer but as a professional obligation) She left my original green beans on table in front of me, she said they would make a fresh serving. She came back some time later with another plate of green beans. You could smell the garlic. Okay. I took one bite, they were FROZEN. Completely unacceptable. Not a mere inconvenience nor mishap but a violation of proper preparation and food temperature. What was the hurry? There were very few customers. This was blatant disregard and disrespect. My husband called server to table, asked her to touch the green beans , she did and instantly acknowledged that they were frozen. She took them to kitchen, I don't know what was said, if anything but I was livid and ready to leave. I do not know if they comped the green beans or not because I was completely offended and ready to exit. They likely got a chuckle out of it but to know that they would compromise their own personal and professional stance and that of the restaurant, in place of petty, lazy blatant disregard speaks volumes of one's character and professional ethic. read more

We had such a bad experience tonight. First it was super empty and we got there at 9:00 pm. Server took our order and then came back to ask us for the order again. Then, 30 minutes later when we asked about our food the server jokingly said "has it been 20 minutes? let me check" well he cheked and it had been 35 minutes. He then started loudly speaking about us and saying how he would offer a discount and was laughing about it. Our food came about 15 minutes after this but the quality was horrible and he felt like by addiing extra pancakes he would make up for his rudeness! We left the pancakes and will never return here! Damn - from the moment you touch the broken janky door- to the overcrowded worker area - at the front door. One gets an uneasy feeling. Country fried steak was soggy from sitting in grease too long. Hash browns should be golden - not white and specks of dark drown to black. Yeah flipping the burnt side down is a weak practice of a subpar business. Came in for their $5 unlimited pancakes on Labor Day. It was busy but we got seated right away. If you order an entree you still get unlimited pancakes. Got the country fried steak and it was bomb.
