Feeling quite beefavore this morning! And, it hit the spot. I ordered the T-bone steak and egg and substituted the 3 pancakes for hash. My partner in crime ordered the sirloin with scrambled eggs and 2 pancakes. I usually a slow eater but today I completed my meal half the time I usually do. I was hungry. It's the rain, yup, blame the rain :D It was crowded, took 12 mins to get seated (the lady at the front said 15-20 mins), so she figured the time just about right. Honestly, shocked. It has been a decade since I have visited, mostly due to my celiac disease and gluten intolerance. Fearing a reaction, I avoided the business. However, I had the opportunity to visit one, and was shocked to see a menu that showed allergy items on the main menu. I really appreciate when business don't make dietary-restricted folks feel like second class citizens. Of course I had to have the GF pancakes and they were awesome; fluffy, great texture and normal taste. Service was a challenge, because they were busy with short staff. Would recommend! read more

Happy hour at Ihop, who knew?! 2 -10 pm Delicious freshly made food for $6?! Hidden gem in town. Everyone was placed more than 6 feet apart, everyone serving and cooking were wearing masks. Food was fresh and really good! The steak burger was really a generous size on a fresh bun with veggies and tasty! Onion rings were perfection. Chicken and pancakes hit the spot, lots of chicken and three great pancakes!! We left full and the service provided was attentive. Horrible service. We went around ~7:30 am, and no one was there. Yet, the food took a long time to come out, and our waiter(the Hispanic gentleman) left for a long period of time. The first time, he asked for our drink orders and then asked for food. As we were ordering, he left. Further, while we were eating, a repair crew came in to "fix" the booth next to us. The final straw was when he overcharged me, and when I confronted him, told me "You actually owe me $0.15," in a condescending tone. The food was good, but probably one of the worst services we have gotten in Folsom. When we walked in, no one helped us to seat for a while even some waiters saw us. After we finally sat, again, it took a while until a waiter came to ask us for drinks. He had his both hands in the pockets and asked what drinks we wanted. I don't think I ever gotten that behavior at any restaurants I have been. Then I asked if we could also order since we waited awhile, but he said someone else had to take our order. Then, there was a family who came in and sat after us got drinks before us (we only ordered coffee and water), and they also got to order before us. The waitress who came to our table was just ok, but when she went to the other table, she was way more friendly and was giving a lot more attention to them. By the time our food were served, the other family were almost finishing to eat. The waitress didn't come by to explain what's taking that long or not checking our empty coffee or water while she was doing that to the other table. It was an absolute disappointment since we were not expecting to get that sort of service in Folsom and sadly this was probably the worst IHOP that I have been. read more

Waited 10 minutes to be seated today, was told they just needed to clear a booth for the 3 of us and it would be a few minutes, then they proceeded to seat everyone who came in the door after us, 3 groups of 2 and 1 group of 7, so we just left. Not worth it. I'd rather spend my money at the gold miner cafe in Folsom and that is what we did. The food is better and it was only $1 more per meal. read more

My wife wanted to go here after we left the VA in Rancho Cordova. I had never been there before so I told her ok. We ordered breakfast. I ordered two eggs over easy with an order of toast. The eggs were not done. I cut into the eggs and clear liquid came out. I live on a ranch and am very knowledgeable of eggs. Also the toast was like two pieces of wood. It was hard and cold. Also they were not buttered. I couldn't get the attention of the server. I also got only one cup of coffee even though I wanted more. I will never go there again. Not sure if anyone else has noticed but the Manager (Hispanic fellow) who manages this location is overcharging customers by selecting each item as a single order thus maximizing the cost. I just paid $34 for a French Toast breakfast. When I confronted him, he said that's what I ordered. I told him no, I ordered the combo breakfast which was half the cost. He argued with me further. When I asked to speak to the manager he said I am the Manager. When I asked to speak to his supervisor he said there is none. Really? So, contrary to our standard "no chain restaurants" we decided on IHOP because they had gluten free pancakes. A win for our family always on the lookout for GF options. All I wanted to do was get a sandwich to go. I waited for 10 minutes before an employee on break found a coworker that was equipped to handle the enormity of my order: Turkey sandwich w/ onion rings. However, the waitress couldn't be bothered with me or my money, so I walked. Service is a joke. I will never go there again. Save yourselves. Also the design of the restaurant contributed to the problem today. The divider between the kitchen and the front of the store is so high that the cook is the only one who can see down a 4x7 foot walkway. We weren't having much luck with the hostess and getting a table for a party of 8, but Jazzy to the rescue! What a hard worker that one. Initially I let this crap slide because it was once in a while, but now it's happened so many times that I wouldn't be surprised if this is a coordinated effort for them to save some Money. Nah. Really not impressed by IHOP. I used to come here, but now I see why I don't come anymore. The service is not the best and the food isn't the best either. I got the Quick 2 Egg Breakfast. When I ordered this, they forgot my bread and took forever to get it. Quick 2 Egg Breakfast- No. Just no. The hash browns were wayyy too buttery and falling apart. The bacon was ok, I mean how can you mess up bacon? It wasn't really crunchy, but really hard and chewy. The eggs were eh. Tasted like eggs, but no salt or pepper added on it whatsoever. This meal came with bread, so I picked my favorite, sourdough. The sourdough was horrible, it tasted like flour that was mushed into a ball then dried up. I have never tasted this bad of bread in my life. The quality of this meal was a 2/10. I don't think I'm ever going to go to IHOP again and I absolutely don't recommend it. read more

As a child, going to IHOP was always an exciting event. I never chose the creative pancake concoctions, rather I was simply going for the big stack and tons of butter and syrup. Not much has changed now that I'm a big kid with my selection : 2x2x2 - 2 eggs, 2 bacon and two pancakes. It was good and with my daughters breakfast of the stuffed French toast, the total was $30. I'm sorry IHOP but you charge too much for breakfast foods that are cheap and relatively simple to make. I understand you are spending a lot more on marketing then you used to, but for what we got, I feel ripped off. I ordered a water as well, so if I had ordered an OJ, we'd be at $35! As far as the quality of the food, it was good, akin to Denny's or a Tim Hortons. Our syrup was near empty and our server never checked on us the entire time we ate so I had to steal a full one from the adjacent table. Really disappointed that IHOP wouldn't serve our kids after their Junior Prom. The kids were told, "we close in 45 minutes and can't serve you" and turned them away!
