I was in the mood for breakfast for dinner on a recent Sunday night and not in the mood to cook. So I headed on over to IHOP. This IHOP is located on Iron Point Drive super close off Highway 50. The building is tucked in the back of the shopping plaza next to two hotels. The interior was modern, well maintained, and clean. As we walked in, it was oddly quiet. Only two customers and a couple of servers. Our server was fantastic. Attentive. Hubs ordered a cheeseburger and onion rings. Of course I had to sample his plate as well. Pretty darn tasty. Juicy, flavorful patty. I ordered a steak dinner instead of breakfast. The steak was a 10 oz T bone. I was asked how I wanted it cooked. I stated medium rare. But the cut is super thin. Not much thickness, so I it came out medium well as I expected. Sadly, the steak lacked flavor. It came with two sides and a slice of grilled butter bread. Choice of sides include pancakes. Instead I opted for a green salad and steamed brocilli. Getting in my greens.

Date: Saturday, November 16th, 2024 Party of: 2 Meal: Dinner Takeaway Time Ordered: around 10:30pm Time Picked Up: about 20 mins later How Ordered: via IHOP website *Breakfast Sampler ($17.49): 2 Over Easy, 2 Bacon, 2 Sausage, 2 Ham, Crispy Hash Browns, 2 Buttermilk Pancakes *Spicy Poblano Omelette ($17.59): Egg Whites, Buttered Toast, Whole Wheat Toast, Butter On The Side It was the last time the hubby and I would be heading up to Tahoe for a while. I like trying new spots. And the options are rather limited late at night as we get closer to SLT. We leave at different times each weekend, so I tend to look around for spots that close at midnight. When IHOP popped up, I figured why not give them a shot? It was easy to place a takeout order via their website. And I found a coupon for 20% off, so saved $7.02 on the items above. The good. They let you do an egg white omelette at no extra cost. And the bacon and sausage were pretty good. Plus, finding the 20% off coupon code was nice. The bad. Idk if my memory is wrong, but I remember IHOP being much tastier. My omelette was a good size, but where was the flavor? Idk how they managed to make an omelet with so many ingredients taste one note and bland. I added lots of tabasco for contrast. The hubs wasn't impressed either. He would have rather had us order from another spot that starts with the letter D and rhymes with Benny's. The very bad. They gave me white toast instead of wheat. And it was hard and crumbly. Almost like a crouton. And there was no butter in sight. Or pancake syrup for that matter. We had some leftover jam packets from another takeaway order and ended up using those. The pancakes were too plain by themselves. There wasn't much that was good about this meal. Was gonna give them two stars for the food. But minus one for the wrong toast and missing butter and syrup. Sorry but this is the last place I would go for food, it was a joke. I'll keep it short. Food was really slow for everyone in there So many flies it was very annoyin And the smell was strong raw sewage which has been like it for weeks by lookin at the comments Trying to disguise the stench with burnin incense was not goin to cut it

    6:06 am, still not open

It says open at 6 am, and i wait from 6 to 6:10, no one is working. The door was closed and open sign is not light up.

Our IHOP breakfast was awesome! Quick service, tasty food, and the kiddos were totally digging those pancakes. A great start to the day!

Complete waste of money. Pancakes are great as expected but $5 for an orange juice should be ILLEGAL.

The bar has an incredible selection of tequila -- we're talking a wall full of bottles that'll have you scanning for a while. That's when I spotted Fortaleza Reposado and knew I had to try it. Fortaleza is one of those rare, small-batch tequilas still made the traditional way -- tahona-crushed agave, brick ovens, wooden fermentation tanks -- at a distillery that's been in the same family for generations in Tequila, Jalisco. Aged in American oak, the reposado hits with notes of vanilla, caramel, and roasted agave. It's the kind of pour that makes you slow down and savor it. For tacos, I went with the Carne Asada, the Octopus, and the "Roadkill" pork belly -- all three delivered. The Roadkill especially lived up to its name. During happy hour (3-5 PM), the value is unbeatable. Grab a seat at the bar if you can. Just note -- the Folsom location doesn't have the same vibrant decor as Roseville.

The consomé could definitely be more flavorful.   That said, I really appreciate that everything is made from scratch, as shown in the video--that effort does not go unnoticed.I'm a big Triple D (Diners, Drive‑Ins and Dives) fan and love traveling to different cities to try places featured on the show, so this stop was a must.   I'll definitely be back to try the Fried Chicken and Octopus taco. The Roseville indoor seating is quite dark and could really benefit from better lighting. I'll also be checking out the Folsom location next time.   Service was great, which made the experience better overall.

You will find this restaurant across the way from BJ's on E. Bidwell Street. As you walk into the building, you are greeted by their friendly staff. We were quickly seated in a booth in the middle of the dining area, where they have ample seating for every party size. One of the many eye catching points is the bar area displayed in the picture below. We really appreciated the waiter that supported our table, he was very friendly and attentive. After looking over the menu we decided to try a few dishes from the Weekend Brunch Menu. If you enjoy well prepared food with a little champagne, this is a must experience. We ordered the Creme Brulee French Toast prepared with Brioche bread, caramelized in Creme Brulee batter with crispy bacon on the side, and I also requested a side of over easy eggs. My wife ordered the Crab Cake Benedict, which is served with cajun hollandaise sauce, poached eggs and country potatoes. So much flavor, with fairly good sized Crab Cakes. The final dish was the Filet Mignon Benedict, it includes poached eggs, bearnaise sauce and country potatoes. The Filet had lots of flavor and is extremely tender, also a must try dish. Over all, each dish had a unique flavor, and we enjoyed a healthy portion of the bottomless Mimosas! Next time you're in Folsom, I would highly recommend giving this place a try.

Happy hour on a Friday afternoon. We decided to come even though our last visit was less than stellar. Sat at the bar and planned on drinks and a bunch of apps. Our bartender was initially attentive - for the first five minutes. Then it was a ghost town. Over the course of the ninety minutes we were there, we saw her three times. Once every half hour. No, "would you like another drink? Can I get you anything else?" The icing on the cake: waiting 25 minutes for dessert. We flagged another bartender to ask if she could check on it. Our bartender was MIA. We tired of waiting and asked for the check; we'd skip the dessert. Our server then appeared! Tada! To her credit, she asked if she could take it off the bill and send it home with us; we declined - we were well past that point. She then had the audacity to claim, in a snarky tone, that "it's not my fault" and dropped the check while walking off. Ma'am, you represent Land Ocean. You may not control the kitchen, but you do control your ability to be attentive to customers and let us know you're on it and will check. Food is good, happy hour specials were great, great ambience as usual; service has now completely missed the mark. Last time we considered it a fluke. Twice in a row? They've lost us.
