Honestly LOVEEE going here. Been going here since high school! All of my experiences have been very pleasant. My go-to would be the mango sago and popcorn chicken of course! Their popcorn chicken is top tier and no other place can do it for me like them! Everything is very straight forward. You go in, order, get your stuff, and leave! I see that there has been a lot of negative reviews about their customer service. I do not want to invalidate anyone's experiences, but unless you've worked in the food/customer service industry, you can't fully understand the stress they go through. They are allowed to have bad days too! Mistakes can be made. We're all human! We are in a pandemic and they are still working to serve us! I got the roasted oolong milk tea and it was pretty good. Not sure if I tasted any of the oolong but maybe just a little bit. Overall, it's milk tea in the end and I still liked the flavor. Also really like that this place is customizable with add ons and sugar levels. I also went with some friends during happy hour so expect the place to be a little crowded. The line was not too long of a wait since it took a while for us to decide what to get. The wait for our orders didn't take long at all actually. I was over the moon when I found out that an Itea would be opening in Alameda. I absolutely love milk tea, and paying $5 for quality, actually tea-concentrated milk tea does not faze me. Sometimes though, milk tea chains cheap out on the tea and you're left with a disgusting, watered down, sorry excuse for milk tea. I'm happy to report that this particular Itea in Alameda was not the case! I ordered a winter melon tea creama with 50% sweetness with egg pudding and it did not disappoint. Not only was the tea rich and not watery, they really hooked it up with the egg pudding. My kind of people! My boyfriend got a matcha red bean slushie-like thing, and it also was really good. Took my family out here to try to find out the best boba shop around Alameda and so far this one isn't bad at all. Based on other reviews, I expected better. Ordered their matcha tea, hot cocoa, hazelnut and hokkaido tea. The place is better than tea hut in San Francisco and I like how their boba was red and green for the holidays. read more

I think this is one of the better boba places in Alameda. Although it is a chain boba shop, I find that the quality of drinks they make is actually pretty well made with fresh ingredients. Plus they also allow you to customize your drinks with milk substitutes as well, which is great. I normally get either the signature milk tea, matcha milk tea, or taro milk tea with 50% sweetness and 30% ice, and I would say overall they are pretty consistent with their drinks. It's also worthy to note that they have a lot of different snack options, although I personally haven't tried many. The only downside is that there is limited seating and often times the tables are left with bowls and utensils from the previous customers for quite some time before being cleaned up. Overall I would give the taste a 5/5, the service a 3/5 and the cleanliness a 3/5 read more

My favorite milk tea place in the Bay Area. I really get addicted to them. Some of my favorites are B4 -tofu red bean milk tea, H1 - matcha red bean smoothie, B6 - matcha red bean milk tea, honey aloe green tea (forgot the ID), mango crystal and jasmine milk tea. Honestly most of their drinks are very good. And the best part I like s customization. Not only you can adjust sweet and ice level, you can even adjust the creamer level, something I just learned recently. So if you try to watch your sugar and calories in-take, they're great at it. read more

I've been going here for the longest and it was my go to boba spot in Alameda. I ordered through the phone and was told it would be done in 5-10 minutes so I left after 10 minutes to pick it up. Upon arrival, it wasn't too busy, but still we had to wait another 15 minutes. When we got home (5min away), I noticed milk tea spillage in the itea bag, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and assumed they didn't wipe the boba cup I just went and wiped it. I ate my popcorn chicken order and THERE WAS A HAIR INSIDE. THE HAIR WAS INSIDE THE BREADING aka ARE THE PEOPLE COOKING NOT WEARING MASKS??? THEN a few minutes later, my friend tried to pop open their drink. And it spilled everywhere! (Not shown bc we cleaned it right away) but if you see the cup in the picture, you can tell the lid wasn't sealed properly. The straw just went through the side! So I called them and I told her about the drink, and the lady told me I need to be careful, BUT WE HAVENT EVEN TOUCHED THE DRINK YET. so she was blaming me. Then she said I can come back and return just the chicken but like...if your chicken has hair, your whole cleanliness is jeopardized. Kudos to their happy hour, but be prepared for a long line. Usually get their Roasted Oolong Crema. Love the creme on top and tea! Make sure to get one of those small plastic knives to cut a small area on the top edges in order to sip! Service was alright, nothing to special. Location has a parking lot which is great. read more

Solid start. I've loved the iTea since I first had it in Oakland Chinatown to when they opened by my work in Milpitas. Taste is similar across all branches I've tried so far. Menu is similar here, did not see if they had teaspresso. Includes snacks like popcorn chicken and premade sushi. The hokkaido is my solid fallback, other good ones are mango sago, guava fruit tea, taro with fresh taro bits. You can adjust sweetness and ice level here. Easy parking behind the store in the nearby Walgreens. Good location at the end of Park. -1 star because ran out of boba - will update as will be here regularly! Love their service here. One of the cashiers is super nice. Always asks if a little bit of spicy is ok for the popcorn chicken. (And yes it is!) My go to drink is the white peach oolong tea 50% ice 50% sugar. 5 stars! Food I've tried: popcorn chicken, spam/egg rice, egg tofu, curly fries, garlic noodles (with pork, they do substitutions), gyudon, tempura udon with curry. I'm not a harsh reviewer but I'm a little picky. Still 5 stars! Service: 5 stars! Great place for lunch. Not too many students (if any) around this time. iTea seems to be a pretty happening boba shop. They have one size fits all and a lot of drink combos. I tried a roasted oolong milk tea (my personal favorite to judge a place by), 80% sweet, 30% ice and it was pretty good. A bit mellow and not as nutty as other places that I've tried but very well cooked bouncy boba balls. I tried my friends drink (some fruity concoction) that was actually really good. This itea has parking spots, chubby size inquire,a bathroom, and actual seating unlike the oakland one that I used to go all the time . Drinks are good; I always get the hokkaido milk tea with the pudding or the milk tea that has he combo of grass jelly/boba/egg pudding. Yes I'm a milk tea girl and I say they do a damn good job on the milk teas. You can customize sweetness level, ice levels too and this itea has a more extensive menu. My only complaint is that they rushed my chubby cups order and it didn't properly seal all the way. Please if you do order a chubby cup size for drink - ASK THEM TO CHECK IF IT'S SEAL PROPERLY. I have had two misfortunate accidents at two different times. Also depending on peek times it takes awhile to get your drink. 15+ minutes is what you're looking for. Plus side is pretty good bubba tea. On the down side the food is ghastly most of the time. For example, on our last visit, we ordered the crab ramen soup. After a 15 minute wait, it was brought to our table (no take out option) . On top of the noodles and soup was a deep fried brown battered something. It was assumed to be crab. After poking and prodding it apart a bit of crab tomalley was spotted. That's THE ONLY CRAB. Seriously. Close to $13 bucks for tomalley. Are you kidding ? A gallon of bubba tea could not make up for this. Chef has to know they are serving zero crab. Lot's of room for improvement here. There are more bubba tea shops up the street! read more

Extensive boba tea menu! I haven't tried their boba yet but their teas are good and everything is super customizable, down to the level of sugar and ice you'd like in your drink! Pretty great to find an easy spot for iced tea and sweet drinks in the area. They also have a pretty decent little food menu going! I've had the spicy sausages and the eel over rice so far--both were great although the sausages were pretty greasy. I rated 3 stars because although it is good, and I will be coming back, nothing particularly stood out to me. However, I definitely recommend stopping by here if you're looking for somewhere easy to grab a bite and something to drink! Service is pretty fast and their staff is friendly and helpful if you aren't sure about what you want! Their prices are pretty decent and they give you a large cup for the same price as a regular-sized cup (not exactly sure how that works yet... but it isn't excessively bigger). read more

This place is located at a very convenient location with street parking in front and a full parking lot behind. There's both the front door the back door to enter and just location is happy hour at 8 PM to 10 PM at night at this time most of the drinks are reduced price with the exception of a few and most of the snacks that are fried or $3.50. Did you talk to make the drinks a little bit more sweet than usual so when I asked for 50% the green she was still pretty sweet in my opinion. They do have salt cream a series they also have various hot drink that you may order. We ordered quite a few things of garlic noodles, and beef rice bowl, popcorn chicken and chicken wings. The popcorn chicken had garlic however the inside was not very marinated so it was very bland. The amount that they give you was already lost as well I believe maybe because it was happy hour or just in general I'm not sure. With all the food that we ordered above with the addition of one Boba milk tea into ice cream to use the total came out to be about $42. The drinks were quite fast and were made to order however the food it took quite some time. Cute decor here. read more

Good tea here and the cashiers are generally friendly but there seems to be a disconnect and lack of knowledge with the staff preparing the drinks and the cashiers. First off, I ordered the Hokkaido Slush (or something to that effect... it apparently was/is a new item not on the menu but advertised on a sign) and asked if it included boba and egg pudding like the regular Hokkaido Milk tea includes per the menu; the cashier confirmed that yes, everything included in the Hokkaido Milk tea is in the slush/snow. Cool, so I ordered one. When it came out there was no boba and no egg pudding. I go up to the pick-up counter and ask one of the girls working in the back, she kinda looks back at me with some attitude (and like she was about to roll her eyes, which she probably did after I walked away), and responds as a matter of fact "no" - alrighty then... so apparently the staff needs to get on the same page about what this drink actually is or is supposed to include. The drink itself tasted like a caramel frap without coffee... it definitely did not impress me, especially without the boba and egg pudding. Other than that we ordered the Okinawa Milk Tea (includes pudding only) and the green tea waffle puff things. Nothing really stood out much. read more

My current go to spot in the Oakland/Alameda area for boba. My cousins and I are here at least once a week. Great combination of drink quality, tasty snacks, and the service has always been friendly. Also the fact that they have a private lot to park in is huge, especially on Park Street. Everything I've had here is really good. Even the iced milk drinks I think are pretty comparable to the famous Purple Kow. I really love their calamari and fried chicken...especially the fact that they have huge chunks of garlic in the chicken. mmmm. Their actual boba isn't quite as good as I've had before, but it's certainly well above average. Not overcooked and good texture. This is me & my boyfriend's new to-go spot on Park St! Service is fast & efficient despite the long lines that can accumulate in the building. Onto the goods -- Gawd, their mango green tea and their mango/strawberry green tea are freaking awesome. Gawd. Not too sweet, not too bitter. Just right. You can really taste the mango and the strawberry flavors. Best part -- the generous amount of pulp in the drinks! My boyfriend always gets the jasmine milk tea, 50% sweet. I'm usually not a fan of his drink, but iTea's version was delicious. It doesn't taste extremely bitter, and the creaminess of the milk blends well with the jasmine. It doesn't leave that nasty bitter aftertaste that I usually taste in my palette. Me gusta!~ Snacks wise -- pretty good too. Their curly fries are good (the addition of kewpie is a good kick of flavor), as well as their egg puffs (fave!). But man, their potato croquettes are addicting! I love em. This is my favorite i-Tea location! I always get the B5 (3G Milk Tea) with 50% sugar and regular ice, and it is always perfect (not too sweet or too bland). Even if you do see a long line, it would usually go by pretty fast. The drinks also come out pretty quickly too. I like that there are a lot of seating area and a great food selection. read more

I love I-tea because the selection is good and the tea actually tastes like tea. However the lines are crazy long at this location. Especially on the weekends. I was studying here around 2pm-5pm on a Saturday and the line literally never died down. The line was still going strong when I left so you get the idea. It's pretty loud here so if you're doing any serious studying you probably should go elsewhere. They also have happy hour everyday from 8pm-10pm and yes the lines are long on Friday and Saturday. Not sure if they are long on the weekdays though. read more
