Don't order online for an order to picked up later which is an option on the website. I ordered at 4:15 to be picked up at 5:05. 10 min later I receive a text saying my order is ready. I called the shop to let them know that I won't be there until 5:05 and she said that my order is ready. She said the online orders just print out and they make the drinks. She could see on her end that my pick up time was 5:05. She agreed to remake one of the drinks and then hung up on me. When I arrived, all the food was cold and the drinks were melted. She told me they would not be able to remake it. I told her that it shouldn't be an option to place an order for a later pick up if they can't honor that. I asked to speak to the manager and she again, told me that they don't have control over the system and that if I wanted hot food I Should order it closer to when I would arrive. I am well aware of that. . Passing off responsibility off to the customer is ridiculous. I spent $70 in total. The problem could have easily been remedied. If they know this is an issue, look at the order when it. Comes in, check the time and make it closer to pick up time. Ultimately it was remade but this all could have been avoided. The girls were rude and one hung up on me. Might return bc of consistency with drinks but service is poor. read more

This has become my go-to spot for boba during the COVID-19 pandemic. It's the closest, decent boba place close to me with a parking lot and an easy system to order from. I highly recommend texting them ~30 minutes before you show up so that you can just walk in and walk out. You probably don't want to be hanging outside amongst a crowd during these times. I normally get fruit teas, but during the pandemic, I've switched to milk teas since my mom wants me to reheat/boil all outside food -_- The quality of their drinks has remained consistent. Highly recommend the roasted oolong milk tea at 30% sugar + it comes with boba already! read more

i-Tea has always been my go-to spot for boba and due to the constant lines that push out of the store, I am going to assume that it is the spot for others as well. i-Tea being a chain, does not have insanely different and unique boba from other stores, yet the boba itself is way above average, and is the most consistent boba shop in Alameda. Service is a hit or miss here, but when it comes to a boba shop where you order, pick up your drink, and leave; the service should be dismissible. Food and snacks are pretty good and their selection for both food and drinks is a lot wider than most places. Overall i-Tea is a great place to go to if you are in need for a boba craving with or without snacks; the location is convenient with parking as well. read more

I ordered via texts. Very easy way to communicate. We were on he way and after I put an order in. It was ready in 5 mins. Ordered something easy and not too complicated. 2 egg puffs and 2 drinks. And yes they take CC. read more

Manager was very nice. She prepared the tea and we talked about different flavors, new compostable straws, and life in Alameda. I got the matcha green tea slushie with red bean and my friends got hot teas. Lot of people studying here and looked pretty packed. The drinks overall are decent, but the customer service is terrible. Some of the staff are very rude and have a very unfriendly and negative attitude towards the customers; they don't smile or act amicable in any way. They act like robots. I usually don't write reviews, but today I had such a bad experience with the unpleasant lady that handed me my drinks. She was very disrespectful and challenging. Moving forward, my family and I will stop bringing our money to this people. Thankfully, there are two more boba places on park St. read more

Boba here is solid as usual! My go-to is the classic milk tea w/tofuhua at 80% sugar. PROS: + I like that this i-Tea location offers a larger variety of food compared to it's Oakland location (ramen, takoyaki, etc). + They take credit card + Free parking lot in the back + Happy Hour (Happy hour 8-10pm everyday, drinks for $3, food for $3.50) + Rewards program so sign up to get a free drink after 10 orders CONS: + Layout is a little weird because the line for the register cuts through the dining area so it can get congested at the front of the place + Service is so so read more

Honestly this is my go to boba spot on the island. The food is good, my favorite is the popcorn chicken. The seasoning on the chicken is better than most places. Fruity drinks and milk teas are both so good. Today there was a bit of confusion on my order and I didn't get what I thought I had asked for. I didn't mind waiting and the worker was professional about double checking my receipt. The manager intervened and she was loud and rude about how I had messed up when I ordered. This isn't a one time occurrence, I have seen her be rude to other costumers before, but it was the first time towards me so I thought it was about time to review the place. They are pretty efficient especially because it can get very busy. They have the option to text to place order which is super convenient. I always text my order so by the time I get there my order is ready for pickup. Service wise the staff is friendly BUT I've noticed that whenever the owner or manager (not sure which she is) is there, the staff is on edge. People will keep coming because the food and boba are good but there's a reason this place has 3/5 stars. Hope management/staff speak up on that so ambiance improves. read more

Under Covid 19 the place is closed their dinn in seating and only open to-go. I found out they charged full tax on every items they sold. I talked to their owner, the owner argue said because they have seating they are told by the city to charge tax even for to go, and gave me an example how McDonald charge tax on drive thru too. Which is total wrong, according to CTDFA by California law. If u sell coffee or tea to go, it's tax free! Just because the owner of this place is stubborn n ignorant, customers need to pay extra money they should not have to pay. My guess, I go somewhere else read more

No idea what's going on with the staff here but it's very much declined. I literally was waiting for my drink and the girl who was at the counter tried to speak to me like a child. Like who gave you the right to talk to anyone like that. I asked her for my drinks and showed her my receipt still refused to give my my drink. I told her I'm trying to enjoy the rest of my night and I don't got time for your shit ass attitude. Definitely gonna find a new boba spot. I really did like this place but not going to give my business to a place where the staff is highly disrespectful. read more

HORRIBLE ! I don't know what other words I can use. You are a milk tea place, stop trying to make ramen. You are making instant noodle and sell it as ramen ! C'mon son. Look at the fucking egg !! I love i-Tea and their chicken! I used to stop by often when I was interning nearby. Sometimes it would take a while to get my drink, but it was never too bad. I really like their panda milk tea and I like how you can customize your sugar and ice levels. Make sure you get the chicken if you've never done so before! Some of my friends think it's a little spicy, so just a heads up if you usually don't eat spicy. read more

Quick take: i-Tea is my favorite chain. I love i-Tea because I tend to like the sweet fruit teas. It's more of a dessert to me than a drink. Some locations like this one in Alameda have an extensive food menu. This comes in handy if you need more than just a sugar boost. This location is poppin'! Long line in a tiny spot. The line does move but it just feels a bit cramped. It's just the layout of this spot. Parking is a bit tricky during peak hours. The drinks and service at this location are standard. They are able to get everyone through the line in a fair amount of time. read more

I-Tea is a good place to go in order to satisfy one's boba cravings. Went here after having dinner next door. They have both a back and front entrance which is convenient. Shop is clean and comfy. Will probably stop in from time to time when we are in the area. read more

The owner at I-team is very mean person, after have some food and milk tea, I asked her for restroom, she said no right away, I told her I have 2 hours for driving, I please her for me to used it. But no, she said don't ask me why... I don't think this is a good place to come. read more

This i-Tea location is just about right. I came here for happy hour on a weekday and it was pretty busy. Seems like everyone in Alameda has the same idea! What was good: -Happy Hour drinks are decently priced ($3.75 for a Matcha Red Bean drink - it is normally in the $5 range I believe) -Lots of seating in the shop -The drinks and food come out very quickly What's just alright: -There's raw garlic in the popcorn chicken. My breath was not happy for a good 24 hours. Would be nice if it was cooked! -Service is about alright. Know what to get, don't ask too many questions, and you should be in and out with boba without a hitch. read more

Drinks are consistent compared to other locations. However, the wait is quite long and drinks are not prepared in number order. Since, I was in the area I figured why not try the new place right? I came in, atmosphere was good, great music and they have board/card games provided on the shelf. I ordered Mango Sago, but there was BARELY mango and sago in my drink! I was quite disappointed since I paid $5+ for this...It seems as if they added one scoop of mango & Sago on the drink and I can literally see few chunks floating. Plus, the cashier seem to have a bit of an issue when I asked for 30% ice & half sweet on it?!? For this specific drink, I suggest going to Oakland, Chinatown to get your money worth. read more

Cons: - I don't get any of their food besides the popcorn chicken (which was okay, but nothing too special compared to other boba shops). -Customer service in this location could use some work Pros: - I LOVE the variety of different fruit and tea drinks - which you don't normally see in other places, so that's a plus. -Quick and cheap option to get your boba fix read more

I don't know where to start! An hour ago I went in to order my D5, I am excited about and I had it before at i-Tea Oakland. I was running Thur my eyes (menu) to find where my D5 the cashier talked with her coworker a bit, that's fine. I said I would like the D5 She repeated with asking D5? That's what I thought she said. That's what I heard! It could be she didn't hear me right OR I didn't hear her right OR the music volume can lower for 2mins. Well well well after like 2 mins my D5? Was ready? NO it's freaking B5. I was like I hate this drink!!! I turned but then told them it's not D5. She said we confirmed with you. All sales are final she pointed. This is a good drink try it I walked away Very fcking disappointed. They are the employees I am the customer. They made it if was like I am only to blame. This is the worst way to lose a customer. I did went home and tried it but not right away in my car, I fcking fcking hate everything about it! I am not going be back to the i-Tea alameda, never trusted with these kids making my drinks anyway. Way to go with the 5.21 drink and .54 tip. I am never giving my ass again. 1 star for my fault. read more

i-Tea was my go-to boba shop while visiting the Bay Area and staying at Alameda! The store offers a wide variety of drinks, and what I loved about them was how much topping they put in your drinks. I personally love chewing on boba balls and lychee jelly bits a lot, so that was a huge plus. My favorite drink here was the Passionfruit Tea, and I really enjoyed their Hong Kong Puffle as well. It was very chewy, soft, and came out piping hot! Whenever I get a Hong Kong Puffle back at my hometown, the stores I go to tend to overcook it and make it too crispy, but I found that i-Tea got it just right. This place seems to get crowded pretty frequently, and whenever I went there was a sizable line at the cashier. A lot of people also like to eat in and study here, so finding a table inside might be a hassle. read more

TL;DR just another classic boba shop + serves food too! Pluses: + customizable ice & sugar level + accepts card + has Five Stars rewards if you're going to be a regular + lots of seating + food if you want to snack (or have dinner) Deltas: - charge +$1 for a hot milk tea instead of cold during busy hours?! - tables were dirty & crumby - confusing line system b/c of the 2 entrances read more

To the managers: I gave one star not because the quality of your drink, but one star for the customer service. I paid for my drinks not asked for free. Your employees hellla rude. Was disappointed by the popcorn chicken i bought today. Everytime i order popcorn chicken from here has been very delicious and consistent. i'm not sure why the sudden change. The chicken was overfried (as if it was burnt) so it's pretty hard to chew. Perhaps they overcooked it or maybe it has to do with the oil. I'm still giving this boba place a good review because mistakes could happen. I'm posting this because i paid $8 for something that i could barely eat and it shouldn't be like that. read more

My fiancé and I really only come for the popcorn chicken and all of their mango drinks. Their mango sago is our favorite! I know we should try other things in the menu, but we are too hooked. Maybe next time! read more

Another i-tea! I prefer this location than the Chinatown location because it has food, takes card, has seating, parking lot, and a restroom! However the space isn't well designed and I try to avoid coming here during their rush hour. There are 2 entrances, which makes it challenging during rush hour because the line starts building up with people coming in from the front and back of the shop and you have to figure out where the line ends. And you can't easily walk from one end to the other because there's always a cluster of people in the middle watching drinks be made, blocking the pathway. What's also not so great during rush hour is the parking lot gets filled quick and all that's left are compact spaces. There are other differences from this location as well such as their food - they don't give you tartar sauce for their fried fish. They give you this pinkish honey mustard sauce. All the times I've been here, they don't top off the curly fries with nori here, even when I asked and told them that's how every other I-tea I've been to does. The staff also takes longer to prepare your drinks. read more

I must have arrived at the wrong time because there was a long line, 4 pm on a Friday afternoon. i-Tea offers a large assortment of teas, smoothies and food ie. deep fried chicken strips, tofu and other snacks plus they have ramen soups. I ordered a milk tea with boba ($3.75), I noticed their was approximately fifty different teas. I notice alot of slushy drinks were ordered, I just something with caffeine. Order what you want, they can make it. More seating then most tea places, this is probably the most popular tea place in Alameda. read more

This is probably the 3rd i-Tea location I've been to in the Bay and still one of my top picks for chain boba places (over Sharetea for example). The Alameda location was surprisingly spacious when I came for the first time and the service was fast. Line was long though, because it was happy hour. What are the happy hour drink letter and number combinations? No one really knows for sure, but what we did find out for sure was that the sago series is NOT eligible for happy hour discounts and that's great because my friends and I only went for the Mango Sago drink *eye roll*. Parking is not that great, you'll have to find some street parking that is dangerously close to the driving cars and make sure you don't get hit as you're getting out of your car. Mango Sago is always #1 in my heart and they put so much fresh fruit in their drinks, it's awesome. Even though it's not happy-hour-eligible I bought it anyways, and between 3 people we bought 4 of them, spending over $20 total. In the end looking back it probably wasn't worth it and we probably should have just taken advantage of the happy hour deal but whatever dude. Mango Sago is the sh!t! read more

What I ate: Egg puff, roasted oolong milk tea Visit date: March 11, 2017 First time? Yes. Another boba place! I-tea has plenty of drinks and snacks to choose from, lots of seating and games, and lots of parking! Today we visited because our nephew had his first birthday celebration in the shop (and I'm totally stealing this idea for a future party!). The space accommodates a group of 35+ easily and they let you bring in your own treats. I had the roasted oolong milk tea with half sweetener and the egg puffs. I like being able to choose sweetness level but it's always a gamble when I don't know what "full sweetness" tastes like. 50% turned out to be just what I was looking for. The egg puffs are classic - fluffy and just slightly sweet. I'd definitely give this place another visit to try some of their savory dishes on the menu. read more

Absolutely horrible service. The staff is rude and doesn't care about their customer-service. I was waiting in line for 30 minutes for two drinks. I'm so glad there's an i-Tea in Alameda. I've been to this location a few times and it's never as busy as the one in Chinatown. (Thank goodness!) I've tried a few different drinks but I love the fresh fruits teas because they're more refreshing. My favorite is the mango and strawberry fruit tea. The amount of fresh fruit in the drink can vary though, depending on who makes it. This location also sells food. I've only had the gyoza but I wasn't disappointed. Like their snacks as well from popcorn chicken, eggpuffs, chicken wing, ramen etc. You can sit down and enjoy an entire meal. I think over here there only one size for every drink. It's always a large, which I don't mind. Also a good tip (for those like myself who enjoys purchasing extra to shelve in the fridge): ask for boba on the side.
