I always heard about the hype of Drink Thicc, and hearing so much about it turned me off to the idea of trying it.. Thank god I came to my senses and tried it!!! The smoothies are so replenishing and refreshing! Affordable for the ingredients they use, and they have a few different sizes! This is the perfect place to come to after a walk or run around the lake, or any form of exercise or if you're even just craving a sweet treat! The staff is super informative and knowledable as well. They made great recommendations to me, when I told them what I was looking for. Definitely a great place to stop by and they often host events too!
Such a good smoothie place. I love they change their smoothie flavors around, but it is sad when they get rid of a good one! This is like bay area's Erewhon smoothie - smoothies with protein and other healthy add-ins. The smoothies are pretty expensive ($17 for 24oz.) though! The only one I've had so far that I felt disappointed by was I'm Peachless (despite its name it was supposed to have peaches but did not taste like it at all).
Drink Thicc has been bookmarked since forever and I finally swung by off a whim on a Thursday afternoon after an insane work day. The staff were super welcoming and friendly. They've got music jamming out on their speakers which mellows out any wait time imo. The parking is sparse and sucks in the area. $12 for a 16oz bev is a bit of a stretch so I probably wouldn't come often, however, would return in the future as it was a great pick me up. The smoothie was very tasty and refreshing.
My drink was amazing! I ordered the Blue Zone and it tasted like a cloud. It was blended so creamy and thicccc! I finished it so quick. You can order two different sizes and it's served pretty quick. The staff is so friendly. It's definitely a grab and go spot with a couple of stools to sit while waiting.
So good! we got the berry thicc and slim thicc which were both amazing. love the thickness of the smoothie and also when it starts to melt, still had a great consistency. it is on the pricier side, but not bad for every once in a while.
I can't say enough good things about minni and her team. The level of customer service and care goes above and beyond. Not to mention their smoothies are so good! Packed with protein, it is a quick pick me up when you're on the go and if you are in the area. Pro tip: order ahead, especially on hot days so you don't get stuck waiting outside in the heat! Thicc smoothies are my favorite smoothies in the town - no if, ands, or buts. They also partner with a nonprofit each month to give a percentage of their proceeds back to the community. Follow them on their socials for events so you don't miss out!

A new cool vibe, 90s hip-hop and R&B themed smoothie spot in the heart of downtown Oakland. Taking over this old location of the lumpia company, the smoothies here are worth coming to check out because their protein packs, have fresh ingredients, and super nutritious. They make it easy with visual pictures of their signature smoothie concoctions that you can order in a variety of different formats like bowls and lemonades. Worth checking out if you are in the area first thing in the morning or on your way to the gym like the YMCA or heading to Lake Merritt. you'll probably wait about 5 to 10 minutes for the smoothie but it's worth it considering they are making it from scratch.

Worth the hype. We got two Berry Thiccs and they were absolutely delicious and so many good nutrients. It's a little expensive but there's no much good stuff in it that it makes sense. Will definitely be coming back

The Berry Big Dreams was delicious! I'm already a huge strawberry-banana fan, and the coconut cream added such a fun little twist. The smoothie was also so pretty with the sprinkles on the side of the cup! The wait was about 15-20 minutes, and just a heads-up - it's a takeout window, so you'll be waiting outside with no shade. Definitely worth it though. I'll be thinking about this smoothie when I'm back in LA! read more
I ordered the slim thicc (mango pineapple base) and my boyfriend got some matcha flavored special. Super velvety texture, since they do not blend ice into the drink. Really awesome macros (average is something like 20 grams of protein for 200-300 calories) if you're looking for a sweet treat to fit into your diet! read more
5/5 Stopped by Drink Thicc Smoothie on 24th Street and it definitely lived up to the hype. The smoothies were super flavorful, fresh, and well worth it. I'll definitely be coming back! The pricing is reasonable at $12 for a small and $17 for a large. I also liked that they offer plenty of add-ins like pre-workout, post-workout, and other supplements for just $1-$2 each, so you can customize your drink however you like. The customer service was excellent--friendly, welcoming, and quick. As for the location, it's in Oakland, so just use the same awareness you normally would, but I felt comfortable during my visit. Overall, a great smoothie spot with quality drinks, lots of customization options, and outstanding service. Highly recommend! read more

New smoothie spot near two pitchers brewing and the lumpia company?? Say less. I learned about this place from a friend, and when I learned each of their drinks contain 28-30g of protein, I was sold. Sometimes you're not in a mood to eat, but you want a drink. I can relate to that. The set up is pretty casual, it's a grab and go spot and they also offer smoothie bowls. No seats or benches available, but this place not too far from lake Merritt. The strawberries and cream, my bf wished the strawberry flavor was more prominent, he felt it was more cream forward. I enjoyed my green smoothie, fruity and refreshing. I had to chill and not drink it too fast bc I got a brain freeze twice lol. I asked how come they're only offering 3 menu items at the moment compared to when they opened. The employee explained that they have limited storage space so they rotate 3 menu items each week. read more

wow this place has been recommended to me many times. Its so cute and they have music playing outside. I absolutely love the vibes. The customer service was great. I was able to test two flavors. They also change their menu items every monday. I tried the colab the grind dont stop and it was really good. i love that the calories are posted for you to see. The cups are very cute. Staff is so sweet and friendly! It was my first time. They'll answer any questions you have. I love all the goodness that is packed into the smoothies, so it's truly a wellness drink. They don't add sugars, though there is a lot of other things you can add (like protein, collagen, or other health ingredients for an up-charge). There's two sizes small 16oz ($12) and large 24 oz ($17). They have the smoothie options for the week posted in the window where you order (so today, there were 3 choices). They rotate flavors each week. Got the Free Radical and the Fired Up smoothies - both were so yummy! I'd say even on par with the bougie Erehwhon smoothies. The larger size had 40g of protein (for any one who cares haha). I love that they give back to the community, as it looks like they usually donate 1% of proceeds to support different causes. You order at a walk up window - there are a few stools but plan to take the smoothie to go. Since it's more grab and go, the parking on the street isn't too bad. Note, they are closed on Mondays. I have been seeing this place all over social media, and I was finally able to get some free time and try it! I am so happy they moved to the area, as there are not a lot of smoothie places here. The staff was really friendly, and they played great music while you waited. The process is very simple. You order at the window and get your drink in the window over. It's kind of like a grab-and-go situation, which is great, especially after you finish a workout or if you're like me and need to run back home to a meeting! Every smoothie I have had has great taste and has not disappointed me so far. I will say the smoothies are kind of pricey, but for all the benefits and flavor you're getting is worth it! I went around 9 am on a Wednesday, and there was no line. They offered samples which was nice. They change their flavors every week. I got the Free Radicals, and it was very flavorful. You don't really taste all the ingredients which is surprising. It tasted mostly like raspberries. They have chairs outside and umbrellas. read more

So excited for this new smoothie spot in the area and the creativity with the drinks and ingredients make it one of a kind. This is a walk up style smoothie bar where you order your drinks to go. Make sure to go a bit early, especially on the weekends, cause they may sell out of different smoothies throughout the day. I tried the strawberries n' cream and it was delicious. Each of the smoothies are vegan and comes with protein to keep you full. Would definitely recommend this spot and I can't wait to try more of the flavors. read more

Drink Thicc is located at the order window of The Lumpia Company in Oakland--one window for ordering, the other for pickup. I really like their concept and vibe, but I do wish it was in a slightly safer area. They offer three drink options that rotate every Tuesday, which is fun but also made it tough to choose--each one sounded so unique, but the descriptions didn't really help explain what the drinks would actually taste like. I asked the staff member at the window for some clarification (like whether a drink leaned more mango, spinach, or coconut), but unfortunately, he wasn't able to give much detail. Pricing-wise, it's $12 for a regular and $17 for a large, which is on the higher side, but understandable for a protein-packed, health-focused drink. We ended up ordering the Slim Thicc and the Ghostride Green. Slim Thicc had a tropical mango flavor that was really smooth and satisfying. The Ghostride Green was a vibrant, fruity green blend--refreshing and not too "green" tasting, which I appreciated. Honestly, I really enjoyed both drinks. read more
