My drink was amazing! I ordered the Blue Zone and it tasted like a cloud. It was blended so creamy and thicccc! I finished it so quick. You can order two different sizes and it's served pretty quick. The staff is so friendly. It's definitely a grab and go spot with a couple of stools to sit while waiting.

A new cool vibe, 90s hip-hop and R&B themed smoothie spot in the heart of downtown Oakland. Taking over this old location of the lumpia company, the smoothies here are worth coming to check out because their protein packs, have fresh ingredients, and super nutritious. They make it easy with visual pictures of their signature smoothie concoctions that you can order in a variety of different formats like bowls and lemonades. Worth checking out if you are in the area first thing in the morning or on your way to the gym like the YMCA or heading to Lake Merritt. you'll probably wait about 5 to 10 minutes for the smoothie but it's worth it considering they are making it from scratch.

wow this place has been recommended to me many times. Its so cute and they have music playing outside. I absolutely love the vibes. The customer service was great. I was able to test two flavors. They also change their menu items every monday. I tried the colab the grind dont stop and it was really good. i love that the calories are posted for you to see. The cups are very cute. Worth the hype. We got two Berry Thiccs and they were absolutely delicious and so many good nutrients. It's a little expensive but there's no much good stuff in it that it makes sense. Will definitely be coming back

Best smoothie ever. Thick, flavorful and filling. It having protein is a huge bonus. Service is quick and friendly. Not much to say about ambiance, you order, wait for your drink and go or chill and head inside to the lumpia spot next door to top it off with food.

New smoothie spot near two pitchers brewing and the lumpia company?? Say less. I learned about this place from a friend, and when I learned each of their drinks contain 28-30g of protein, I was sold. Sometimes you're not in a mood to eat, but you want a drink. I can relate to that. The set up is pretty casual, it's a grab and go spot and they also offer smoothie bowls. No seats or benches available, but this place not too far from lake Merritt. The strawberries and cream, my bf wished the strawberry flavor was more prominent, he felt it was more cream forward. I enjoyed my green smoothie, fruity and refreshing. I had to chill and not drink it too fast bc I got a brain freeze twice lol. I asked how come they're only offering 3 menu items at the moment compared to when they opened. The employee explained that they have limited storage space so they rotate 3 menu items each week.

Staff is so sweet and friendly! It was my first time. They'll answer any questions you have. I love all the goodness that is packed into the smoothies, so it's truly a wellness drink. They don't add sugars, though there is a lot of other things you can add (like protein, collagen, or other health ingredients for an up-charge). There's two sizes small 16oz ($12) and large 24 oz ($17). They have the smoothie options for the week posted in the window where you order (so today, there were 3 choices). They rotate flavors each week. Got the Free Radical and the Fired Up smoothies - both were so yummy! I'd say even on par with the bougie Erehwhon smoothies. The larger size had 40g of protein (for any one who cares haha). I love that they give back to the community, as it looks like they usually donate 1% of proceeds to support different causes. You order at a walk up window - there are a few stools but plan to take the smoothie to go. Since it's more grab and go, the parking on the street isn't too bad. Note, they are closed on Mondays. Highly recommend coming here! The smoothies are fantastic, look pretty, and you'll feel revived

I have been seeing this place all over social media, and I was finally able to get some free time and try it! I am so happy they moved to the area, as there are not a lot of smoothie places here. The staff was really friendly, and they played great music while you waited. The process is very simple. You order at the window and get your drink in the window over. It's kind of like a grab-and-go situation, which is great, especially after you finish a workout or if you're like me and need to run back home to a meeting! Every smoothie I have had has great taste and has not disappointed me so far. I will say the smoothies are kind of pricey, but for all the benefits and flavor you're getting is worth it! I highly recommend giving them a try if you're in the area and want something that refreshing!

My partner is obsessed with these juices. He is always on a bit of a juice cleanse, so he has sampled a lot of local businesses within walking distance of our house and this is one of his favorites, claiming the smoothies are "nourishing" and "extremely tasty." Minnie, the owner, is supper nice, welcoming and passionate about making high quality products. The space is small, but centrally located in Swan's Market (along the side gate). If you have a sweet tooth, sure. If you're trying to be fit and healthy, steer clear. I like the menu and the ingredients but after tasting how sweet these are I can confidently say they're not being honest about the macros listed on the menu OR they're quoting calories for an 8oz portion and serving up a double/triple. There is no way a Slim Thicc smoothie loaded with that much sugar (mango, pineapple, dates) and fat (coconut milk) plus all the protein powder etc would sit anywhere under 400 calories. This was a Jamba Juice style drink super syrupy and so sweet my throat got itchy. read more

Smoothie was honestly delicious, but the price to cup size is kinda wild... came in the other day and there was no line. Smoothie took over 10 minutes. Me and one customer behind me watched them clean and sort out fruits and juices for far too long. I've seen the place with a longer line and can't imagine how long the wait would have taken. Honestly the best and most beautiful smoothies I've ever had in my life. These aren't ur basic smoothies friends. It's EREWHON quality with that oakland flair, nutrition and taste. Also, instead of the $30 price tag (you do you, LA), it's a joyful and protein packed $12-$15! The cherry on top is the cheery and lovely minni who is just as delightful as her smoothies. I'm on a mission to try them all and so far my favorite has been whatever I order for the day! My accomplishments so far: the green one, the glow up, free radicals, and slim thicc. Came all the way from WC to Oakland for this smoothie, and it was not worth it. Much smaller than expected, and really expensive. I noticed they added an automatic tip of $4 on my online order too. Which is ridiculous. I usually love stuff like this, but unfortunately it was not worth the price tag. read more

This place is a hole in the wall in Oakland. They have 3 to 4 different smoothies every day, and the options rotate. It's a small team, I want to say there is one cashier and one person making a smoothies, although the ladies from the office love to come here at least twice a week during lunch. Their smoothies are thick and tasty and I would dare to venture also healthy. So far, everyone that we have taken to this spot has fallen in love with it. read more

My daughter and I had such an incredible experience here yesterday. Let's talk about the service. The young woman at the register was thee kindest people ever. Genuinely cared about making sure we were going to order something we liked. She lets us try two different smoothies, and customized a smoothie for my daughter that wasn't on the menu. They also had a massive Palestinian flag hanging on the wall which made us so happy. If I lived in Oakland I'd be here once a week for sure. The smoothies are delicious and taste so fresh. I'm so obsessed with this place!! I'll confess that I'm a huge smoothie lover to begin with, but I love the clear care that they put into their menu, and knowing that I can have a pretty healthy amount of protein in whatever I get is a huge bonus. The rotating menu also makes sure that you never get too bored with any one option! Service is relatively quick (I almost always order ahead on their website, which I very much recommend) and the employees are always nice and friendly. I've recommended Drink Thicc to a few friends and they're all just as obsessed now lol. read more

I make a smoothie at home nearly every day. And they're good. Minni and team make an amazing smoothie that is memorable and crave-able! You can barely believe it steers clear of bad ingredients, it's so delicious, but they tell you everything you need to know about ingredients up front. Not only are they top notch, full of all your macros and micros, but they are 100% plant-based, because who needs animals in their smoothie? Additionally they stand for what's right beyond ingredients and deliver their smoothies and bowls with love and connection to their community. Divest from big corporations and give all yer money to drink thicc and other small businesses in Oakland. This is how we win. read more

Unfortunately, the smoothie itself wasn't blended well and had large chunks of fruit and ice, making it difficult to drink through the straw. Since the shop wasn't busy and the smoothie was over $12 I politely asked if it could be blended a little more. The man working there (white pants, black shirt, black bandana, glasses) rolled his eyes, stared at me and said in a rude tone, "I can't blend your smoothie I'd have to make a whole new one." His attitude made me feel uncomfortable for even asking so I said "ok just forget about it." He responded with "ok good" and walked away. I completely understand if there's a policy about not re-blending drinks after they've been served. That's not the issue. The issue was the unnecessary attitude toward a customer who was being polite. I ended up leaving the smoothie there and wasting my money. Hopefully management sees this and addresses how customers are treated.
