This place is packed, especially for a Tuesday night! The line was long but the service was fast. Ordered a hot matcha green tea with azuki beans and matcha pudding. It was delicious and very comforting as a liquid dessert. The only downside to the order is that they charge an additional $1 for making the drink hot (whyyy). There's at least 8, 4 seaters, and 5, 2 seaters available. Ample amount of games from a deck of cards to uno, to jenga and connect 4. This location is perfect for a group hangout or if you just need to study or work. They say they close at 10, but won't really kick you out until 1030/1040. My friends and I were looking for a place to hang out on a cold and rainy afternoon. Someone in the group suggested to come here and I was hesitant at first after 2 prior cringe worthy visits. HOWEVER, that was months ago and it appears they have definitely worked out their growing pains. With that said, I am so excited the island has an i-Tea! The location in Chinatown is so popular but because it is strictly to go and the lines are always long...it really isn't ideal to meet up with friends. This Alameda location is perfect - easy (FREE) parking in the parking lot and close to the Park Street Bridge. It's clean, bright, and the staff are pretty friendly. If you come during HH, service can be slow but that should be expected! There are selected games available and wifi...definitely a fun spot to hang out with friends or family. I'm currently really into the Mango Crystal Jelly drink and Honey Brown Rice Milk Tea (with Chia Seeds & Agar Boba). As far as snacks go, we had the Takoyaki balls (could've been hotter), popcorn chicken (good portions), and egg tofus (probably my favorite of the 3). Plastic is accepted and they have a reward program...rack up those points for reward! Got my usual mango fruit tea with light ice and it was good as usual. But next time I'm going to have to tell them to lessen the amount of toppings since they put in soo much. Kinda sucks when your tea to topping ratio is wayyy off! Literally half the cup was full of toppings and I had already gotten light ice. When I finished all of the tea all the boba and jellies were left and it's not as satisfying to eat if there not tea to go with it :(. I go gaga over boba! I used to go to their location at China Town all the time. The only thing is they close early. What joy to learn of other ITea locations that close late. This particular location in Alameda even have dining area and serve hot food besides boba drink. I've tried most of their boba but my all time favorite is mango with almond jelly. Sooo good! The drinks are alright. The Super Fruit tea is one of my favorites. However, there are definitely better i-tea locations out there in terms of quality of drink. It's the customer service that gets me. I've been there several times and have only met one worker (out of the 10 or so people that work there) that is decently nice to customers. Workers are usually very impolite and unwelcoming. I'd choose any other boba shop just to have better customer service. Management needs to do better teaching their workers. read more

This place is relatively new to Alameda and I got so excited when I saw the happy hour banner that advertised $2.95/drink M-Th 8:00-10:00pm. So obviously I needed to go in and buy a drink or two. I tried the roasted oolong kreama with 50% sweet (normally I like 0-30%, but dinner was really salty and I was craving something sweet). I also ordered my standard roasted oolong milk tea with 30% sweetness for tomorrow because for $2.95, that's a steal of a deal :) Like other i-teas the store has modern decor with bright lighting. Rating Breakdown: 2/2 Stars for Taste -- This review is going to be based solely off the drinks, for I must confess that I've never tried the snacks here. The boba is on point -- chewy and delicious, consistently good all three times I've come here. They run a little bit on the sweet side, so I usually get 50% here, with no ice. I also like the tofuhua as a topping. (Protip: get the milk tea with tofuhua and red bean, then swap out the red bean for boba. It's the same price as pearl milk tea but with two toppings!) I usually judge a place by their standard black milk tea and this place does not disappoint. Every time I have ordered a drink from here for the past month or so, I experience spilling. And sugary drinks when spilled is sticky to clean. I ordered two drinks, one with no ice and received ice; I'm not being cheap asking for no ice I got some on/off teeth sensitivity to cold drinks. This i-Tea has a private parking lot, some seating, and most importantly, some good authentic boba. Even my mom asks to go here with me and that's saying something coming from an Asian mom. Service here is quick and the actual store itself is sparkling clean. I usually get the standard black tea with 80% sugar and 80% ice and that's the perfect combo for me. This location also has plentiful snacks, so it's great to hang out with friends. Seating here can get limited especially during peak hours. It shows how popular it is. And waited outside for 20 minutes. After I ordered, I saw that a lot of people were waiting outside in the cold. So I went inside to see if my drink was ready and could clearly see my drinks on the counter, just sitting there along with all the other drinks and countless orders of popcorn chicken. No one came to help me but instead one person was rearranging the popcorn chicken orders making sure it was neat on the table. But why?? There were so many drinks and food orders just sitting there so who knows how long it was sitting there. By the time I finally got my drinks, both HOT drinks were cold... I'm not giving this place business again. I was a constant customer. This was my go to boba spot. I called my my orders EVERYTIME even before Covid. Never did I have issues with my order until now and the Chinese girl working there gave me so much attitude once I kindly let her know that the Order she gave me was not my order. She started going to two other employees behind the stand and speaking in Chinese sounded SO agitated and pissed off that this happened. She then comes back to me and says "even HE (another male employee) heard me put in your order correctly" as if it was MY FAULT that the order was mixed up. First of all I called my order in, got the confirmation from the gal over the phone of my order and that was that. Now when I go to the pick up line I tell her I'm here for my order and when she started looking for my order I think they lost it or something so I had to repeat my order again to her through the clear plastic separator between us. Now at the end of this all obviously she didn't hear me and I didn't hear her. Well so now what? You're going to throw a crying fit and blame me for everything? Literally..I'm not even exaggerating... she threw a crying fit over this mistake and started going around to her colleagues and whined and complained in her language. The girl at the cashier today was beyond rude, that I'm left speechless at how someone like that can be in the customer service industry I was next in line and saw her constantly yawning in the face of the person in front of me, never once covering her mouth or excusing herself .
