Came with a group of 8. After a short wait they were able to seat us. Obviously a local favorite location... there was a constant flow of customers. I'm a visual type of a menu person... you won't find pics on their menu. Super friendly service. They do place service charge for Large groups. If you are looking for a bento box type deal, chose one of their entree's. Comes with soup and salad. Huge portions with the entree's. Teriyaki beef tasted more like Korean bulgogi..... but was still tasty. Not a fan of their tilapia sashimi.... Was super tough and not a pleasant taste. We ordered a tray of sashimi and sushi. Was plenty for the 8 of us. Parking is a little tight with all the patrons. Our car got hit by another car (red truck) and they drove off. Thankfully someone caught the picture and let us know. I'm surprised with people that rate this place below 4. Service and quality are good. The staff is friendly and attentive. The only reason why I can't do 5 star is it's not AYCE, so it gets pricey if you're a fat ass like me. Definitely a spot I hit when im in Fresno. read more

Food - it was okay, They will charge for every little thing. I'm big on cream cheese and was hoping I saw dollops of it in my roll but I expected too much. I got but a smear, mind you the Zombie roll already has cream cheese and I asked for extra which equates to a an extra $1.50 to a $17 roll. That roll deserved 3 stars at best. - Tempura vegetables was good. - Psycho Roll was good. Service - Hard to tell, we had a trainee. All tho we did get everything we asked for. But it took about 30 minutes or more for our food to come out. And also, when I asked about my cream cheese the trainee did not want to see for herself if there was extra in my roll or not. She just says that she double checked with the chef and left it at that. Ambiance - Dark, Quiet, Small. Hallway-esk, not really a big space or anything. Bottom line - It was okay, not that bad. Watch out for any extras you add on, it will cost. This place puts fish eggs and green onion on everything, but it's optional. I would give 3.5 stars, but I rounded up to give them the benefit of the doubt. read more

Seated quickly. Everything seemed clean except the bathroom that smelled nice but could use a good scrub. Kind of dirty. Not offered menus. You have to ask. Server was nice but not attentive. Waited a long time for food. Mussels were not even warm. I used to always like that they were cooked well. Not offered plates when they arrived. Most of the sashimi and sushi were good but two pieces had hard stringy chunks I had to spit out. Miso soup had good flavor but only 3 tiny pieces of tofu. Salad was yummy. I was going to dinner with some coworkers and one of the ladies really wanted to try out I Love Sushi. We were seated immediately and our waitress was amazing. That gal knew the menu backward and forward. She was on top of everything. The food didn't do it for me. I was the only one to order nigiri, and everything but the salmon was tough. Like it had been frozen too long or something. Nothing delicate about it. The rolls that were ordered had cutsie names, like the James Dean. They have a big menu, but a lot of slight variation on the same thing. And LOTS of rice. They are big rolls, but not a lot of filling. We had a table of four and instead of putting wasabi and ginger on the plates, they gave the table one small dish to share, which was weird. They seem to do a lot of take out business, and looks to be pretty popular with the locals. read more

This is absolutely my favorite sushi spot in all of the Central Valley. I was very picky about sushi and this place converted me into a sushi lover. They have incredible creativity and well created items. Their tempura fried sushi options are to die for - if they ever quit making them, they will lose my business. I have made many new customers for them by taking friends there over the years. Only beef.... I hate their spinning wheel and birthday policy. I went there one day late on my birthday and they wouldn't throw in a free ice cream (literally you can only get it on the day of). That felt stupidly unnecessary and ridiculous - especially for the prices you pay. Other than that, this is absolutely a great spot. Definitely expected delay on busy days. read more

We called and ordered sushi platters for Mother's day since our usual sushi place was closed on weekends. The lady on the phone was very sweet and made sure we were able to compromise on a time to pick up the trays because it was a lot (5 trays). They quickly prepped our trays and even helped us carry it into the car. They even gave us tons of chopsticks, wasabi and soy sauce packets. The sushi was very delicious and fresh. I loved how nicely it was laid out on the tray. I hope to come here to try more of their sushi rolls next time! read more

Sushi was super fresh and service was great cause we came there as it was opened.. the James Dean roll was extremely yummy..all their niragi was fresh as well. My 2 years old daughter loves the miso soup and potstickers too.. Will be back when I come into town of Fresno again.. read more

This is always my go to sushi spot in Clovis. We usually get the James Dean and Hanford Roll but decided to try the Clovis Mafia... it did not disappoint! The staff is always friendly and the manager is very hands on and makes sure that the guest are having a great experience. The order was ready shortly later and the worker was kind and wished a good day! I got to work getting it all set up. It came with miso soup and salad too! The soup was hot and really fantastic! I was seated fast. But it has now been 15 minutes and nobody had offered me a drink or anything. Not even a greeting from my server. I noticed someone else got seated after me and someone's taking their order. I love this place to death but come on. I haven't been here in 2 months and I was excited to come back because it's always great things but I don't know... a server did come 20 minutes later and took our drink order and food order. The manager then came to us, asked what our drinks were, then came out with our drinks. The manager seems to be more on it than the staff. I understand a wait for the food of course. I love this place, my boyfriend and I have been so many times! The food is amazing and the staff are on top of making sure the customers are taken care of, whether it be with food coming out, or wait times. The sushi is always yummy, I personally like the Rainbow Roll and the Crispy Cream roll. The Sake is pretty good too, especially the hot Sake. I never understand why this place is rated average because it is Certainly the best sushi spot IMO in the Fresno/Clovis area. They have a plethora of cooked and non cooked rolls, and the quality of the fish is superb. They have rolls organized on the menu by the type of fish you like, they also have nigiri combos, which can be hard to find in many sushi spots. The service is always good. Our drinks stayed full, and they checked in often and we had our food in a timely manner considering it got super busy after we arrived. The place hasn't changed in years and I find that comforting. They have a sushi bar, which is my preference when I am not with the family, a ton of booths, and they are spacious. The rolls are not oversized, where you can't eat a piece in one bite, which is nice because you can get all of the flavors you're supposed to. My sister had me try I Love Sushi. We tried 5 different rolls and we did eat them all up. The rolls were good. They were simply not what I am used to eating in San Diego. The tempura shrimp that was in all the rolls needed to be crunchier (some were soggy). However I did eat all the rolls. I would recommend to try this Sushi place in Clovis. I do suggest to the resturant that they distinguish the Sushi better. With the 5 rolls we ordered they all looked exactly the same. I personally love to see all the rolls decotated differently it simply makes it a little more exciting to try them, it also makes each roll look like work of art. I'm honestly surprised I haven't written a review for this place. It's my go-to for sushi! All the rolls here are the perfect size. I can fit everything in one bite and not have to break it apart. The service is usually good but a little slow especially now with COVID-19 and lack of workers. The phone lines are hard to reach at the moment but pre-covid I never had any issues calling in an order. My favorite here is the Clovis mafia since I love saucy rolls! The teriyaki chicken is also pretty good. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone. read more
