What a great coffee shop! I found this place on Yelp, when business first brought me here on weekday mornings. The first time around, it was pretty busy, and I only stopped by for an iced tea. As I found that my contract nearby extended for a few months, I started coming here on the regular. I tried out their iced coffee, as well as their cold brew. Of these three drinks, I recommend the cold brew! It's smooth and strong. However, my all-time favorite product from here is their raspberry scone. This is saying something, as I am generally not into pastries nor sweets. But their scones are delicious! They are in stock most (but not all) of the time. The staff here is friendly. They always greets their regulars with a warm welcome, and they keep good memory of our usual orders. There is a large patio at the back of the building, with long wooden tables under a large canopy. I usually sit inside, but this is a good option if you want to chat your friends out in fresh air. The place is clean, including their restroom. I developed a liking of this place, and will miss it once I'm back in the east coast. read more

I'm all for supporting small local businesses so the hubs and I decided to walk to Hyper Coffee for breakfast one morning. It's small and doesn't have a/c, so the environment is kinda uncomfortable in the summer but it also has a homey small town feel. I think they have some patio seating behind the restaurant too. I liked that they had a large variety of specialty coffee drinks so I settled on the small mocha coconut iced coffee. It was good, but didn't really taste of coconut and since we ordered it to eat there and not to-go, it came in a small milk glass container and honestly, it didn't seem like it was 12oz. The hubs got the snickers iced coffee in the 16oz and it seemed much more substantial. I finished mine in like 3 sips! We each ordered a bagel breakfast sandwich, one with bacon and the other with sausage and they were good. Since it is a small operation, they were heating the food items up in a microwave, which I guess is to be expected and no different than Starbucks heating up their sandwiches in the oven. We had a good experience but not likely that we'll be back. read more

This is such a cute little spot in old town Arcadia! I love the outdoor seating area because of the wall art and I enjoyed all the items we ordered. We got a Nuttin' Honey Latte, a Lavender Latte, and a Power Start Bagel Sandwich (Smoked Turkey). This place is so friendly and spacious, and the menu is great. Sometimes there is that little place that is the only thing open at 8am on a Sunday before a race and you just have to go with it or not eat. That was what happened to me recently. I needed to eat since I had been up since 5am and I am so so glad this was the place that satisfied my needs. Going in, I knew I couldn't be picky and just get something that sounded good and would be quick. Not my norm, but decided to go with it anyways...bagel, lox and cream cheese. This was definitely a top 5 of this breakfast delight I have ever had. That is saying a lot since I have been to my fair share of deli's over the years. Here's why it was so good and if you enjoy that type of food, stop here!!! The bagel was soft and fresh, the cream cheese was the right amount and not overwhelming, and the lox (this was the best part)...there was a lot, seriously a lot of it. Finally a place that does skimp on the lox. Overall a great presentation, even for a to-go order and absolutely delicious. I don't even know where to start with this review our experience was just that bad! My husband and I ordered two Vegetarian panini sandwiches and two watermelon juices. We were told the cost for this was $30 which seemed pretty high, but we didn't make a fuss. But when we got our sandwiches they were cold (as if they'd be sat in the press for about 30 seconds). They were also extremely small and had almost nothing on them. We can't each cheese so we asked that they remove the cheese, but the sandwiches were still supposed to come with roasted red peppers, red onions, avocado, spinach and a "herbed olive oil spread". They came with spinach and virtually nothing else. They were bone dry with about 3 tiny chopped onions, one small piece of avocado on each side of the tiny sandwich which had been cut in half, and no red peppers at all. I went to the counter and asked about the missing red peppers (I didn't even bother with the rest). A woman behind the counter said "Yeah, I forgot. Just bring them back". No apology just a couple of red peppers added. Then the cashier came over to our table and said he hadn't charged us for the drinks. My husband went back to the counter and paid another $8.00. A few minutes later we got just one watermelon juice. We asked about the second one and a 3rd person behind the counter said that would be another $8.00. We just said "forget it". Then the man that originally took our order turned up the music very high to drown out our complaints. We finished our food and left. Wow! Just wow! read more

I used to come here in high school for the sandwiches and recently thought of it when I was in town last week. I ordered a latte frappe and it was good, not too sweet nor bitter. I love the outdoor area, it was the perfect place to work for a few hours. The cashier was friendly and recommended the frappe that I had ordered. It's a very nice spot to grab a quick meal or coffee or to catch up with a friend. I love the peaceful environment! Surprised by this spot that I just happened to come across. I honestly didn't think the coffee was gunna be good but I actually really enjoyed it. They are using high quality beans for espresso. I got a lavender latte w/ almond milk. It's a not a place where you'll find pour over - they have drip which I would be interested to try. Also really love the outdoor patio space in the back ~ great place to hang with peoples or to work. Parking was pretty simple since it's not in a super busy area. Love, love, love this place! With covid it is hard to find outdoor patios, but Hyper Coffee has one. I have been here several times and the staff is always nice and helpful. The earl grey tea with lavender was interesting. I really loved the flavors of that tea. The vegetarian power start croissant sandwich was so yummy! Again, my favorite thing about this place is the big patio that reminds me of being in someone's backyard. Note - Their bathroom is currently broken. Quite the hidden gem. While at the Artisan LA in Arcadia, we weren't very pleased with the food options there, so we made our way to get some good coffee. They use Jones Coffee, yum! They also serve a light option of breakfast/sandwich options. I had a delicious lavender latte, unfortunately it was too sweet for me about half way drinking it. No ones fault but my own for not asking ahead to make it lightly sweetened. We ordered an egg/spinach wrap to share. We found a seat at the front of the shop then realized there was a back pato. I was in this little coffee shop the other day and although I rarely feel the need to leave a review I feel the need to say something about their 17 dollar chicken chipotle panini in which the main ingredient you taste is bread. After having ate the first half without looking inside, I opened the second half only to see there is hardly any ingredients in it. I don't mind paying the price but if you're going to charge 17 dollars for a panini please fill it with a reasonable amount of ingredients to be fair. read more

I go here so often and I love it here but it doesn't make sense that paninis and sandwiches are at 15/16 dollars that don't fill me or customers up. Now we've all heard that inflation and rising cost but that's just an excuse as there is no advertisement for organic or does it give you like a combo deal. The quality doesn't just justify the cost and or excuses. Charging for water? "Cup fee" Cold brew at 5 dollars? I haven't been here in soooo long! The last time I went here was when I was in high school and that was like 15 years ago, and I remember them having really good panini sandwiches and blended drinks topped with a biscuit roll. I stopped by for lunch on my day off after a hair appointment nearby in Downtown Arcadia. Walking in Hyper Coffee made me so nostalgic, and the bar and small table seating area was the same as when I was a teenager. And guess what? The sandwich and drink menu may have changed but the drinks and sandwiches still taste fantastic. Since the weather was pretty chilly, I ordered a cup of chai tea latte and it was the perfect drink to have as I read my book and waited for my sandwich. I had the Chicken Basil Pesto Panini Sandwich and it was warm and delicious. The chicken was moist and not dry (thank God!) and the basil pesto sauce was a great sauce to pair with the chicken. I today went in and ordered lox bagel, which other than not the most toasted (it felt a little bit toasted), it was good. Only thing, it was quite pricey costing $9.50. This place is bomb. I come here whenever I'm back in town just for their coffee. Because I can't handle too much caffeine, I asked for a DECAF Vietnamese iced coffee last time and they were able to make one for me. It tasted just like regular Vietnamese iced coffee. I also had an order for a raspberry mocha latte which was also satisfying and delicious. The raspberry flavor was subtle but not overwhelming at all. It still tasted like a mocha which I like. They also had benches and tables in their outdoor backyard for those that want to use the WiFi. I went on a Saturday morning and there was only one other person there. read more

This used to be my go to coffee spot. It was convenient and fairly priced but I started noticing problems on more that one occurrence. 3 times so far they mixed up my order. I order oat milk in my coffee while my mom asks for regular and on more than one occasion they mixed up the drinks. Not a HUGE deal but kind of annoying when I've been looking forward to a specific coffee. The biggest issue I had was I noticed they never changed gloves or washed hands. Especially during COVID, this is a big deal for me. I watched the manager clean tables outside with gloves on, handle my cash and make my entire order without changing gloves. Ambiance/Decor: Didn't expect this place to have a homey feeling when you are inside and subtle music playing in the background. Decent amount of seatings inside, three or four tables in the front of the shop, and a outdoor patio in the back. Great place to catch up with family and friends.! Also, a great study place. :) Service: Helen (owner) was very friendly, attentive, informative of the coffee that I was getting, and efficient with the drinks. I was finally able to try their chicken basil pesto and thought the sandwich was absolutely delightful! The diced chicken breast was tender. The basil pesto sauce, roma tomatoes, and provolone cheese complimented the sandwich well. Drinks: Got the 12oz iced coffee of the day... $2.45. That day they were roasting Pasquini's Organic Sumatra. The coffee was what I needed to jump start my day. The 12 oz. hot mocha coffee... $3.80 was solid also. Gem of a little neighborhood coffee shop serving good french or Colombian coffee, nice selection of pastries, breakfast, paninis, wraps (even salads!) and specialty hot & cold coffee drinks. Plenty of parking in the area and a nice interior seating area plus some sidewalk seating and the cool thing - a nice shades grassy outdoor patio if you wanna take off the flip flops to feel the grass under your feet. The service is great here. Super friendly and the coffee very good. If you have it there they will serve it to you on one of those old school ceramic blue mugs. Very cool! And keeps the drinks hot longer! Strong wireless as well. Nice to see shangri la teas here too - especially over ice! They also have a nice selection of snacks (think oatmeal, bars, todi snack packs, etc. A really cute eclectic coffee and tea spot. Support your local little independent coffee houses! Yes I like sbux but those are for quick coffees on the run - this place rocks as a place to have a slow cup of joe and to relax. I first discovered this neighborhood cafe through one of those Groupon or Living Social offers. So glad we decided to try it. The paninis we ordered were hot, crispy and very tasty. We really didn't expect this quality food from a coffee shop, so that was a nice surprise. Being a caffeine addict, my eyes hovered on the drinks list and immediately focused on the Full Moon dink. That's 3 shots of espresso, w/ steam 1/2 & 1/2 and honey, vanilla. For nearly 5 bucks, I thought it was kinda pricey until I saw how large it was. Totally worth it! The place has wifi, friendly service, a cozy neighborhood atmosphere and a large outdoor seating area in the back. I've been back several times and always order the Full Moon. This is a really great coffee spot in Arcadia! It's small, but everytime I've gone there was always seating. I'm fairly simple so I've had their iced passion tea and iced coffee here and they were good. I have to mention that the price is very fair. I go to a lot of tea/coffee shops (almost every day) to do paperwork, and a lot of times in the SGV area for asian tea shops they charge over $5 for a small sized tea. Then we ask for water and they don't really give it to us. Also would like to mention that their food is pretty good too- and have some keto-friendly versions like salad. Their salad itself was decent as well, I've been to other asian tea shops and their salad was just the random spring mix with some cut up pieces of SANDWICH MEAT (not even a lot either) and it was at least 3-4 dollars more than what I got here. Here, I got a caprese salad which I thought would only come with tomato and mozzarella, but actually got a LOT of tomato and mozz as well as a small side salad with dressing. WHAT a grand surprise! It was really good too, and so was my passion iced tea with 0 sugar. (Also would like to mention other tea shops don't have a sugar free tea...nor do they have any other sugar substitutes available) Some other things to mention: Wifi is pretty good, I had 0 crashes either time I went and I was there for 4+ hours, and there are outlets scattered around. There is outdoor seating as well, and parking is decent, at least for the times I've gone. My one gripe is that it's pretty warm in there. If you run hot like me, you'll be uncomfortable, but then again, it wasn't the warmest tea shop i've ever been either. There are some establishments that I won't return because it was so hot, and when I asked for them to turn on the AC, they turned it back off after 10 minutes. Hyper Coffee located in the city of Arcadia where many people mingle at the horse race tracks or at the mall this little coffee store is on 1st street. The street reminds me of a small town feel. The stores all have different and unique sizes and shapes with a variety of colors. Come to think of it I wish more of Los Angeles would like like this small street. People seem so much friendlier, nicer, happier and just enjoying life. For some of us it seems quite odd to be sitting down and taking time out of your day to sit on a iron chair and sip on some coffee. To me this is heaven. I love going to coffee joints especially ones that aren't the big names or brands that are famous. Just because they are striving to do good as well. Hyper does it with pretty good coffee and just the nice environment. If you haven't been why not try something new and stop by this corner coffee store and sit down and ponder life's wonders!! read more

I made the mistake of pouring the whole cup of dressing over my salad and i could NOT finish it. it was too strong! Haha! Ambience: This adorable little coffee shop located on the corner of 1st and Bonita has a couple of sidewalk seating, roughly 8 or 9 small tables inside, and a nice little backyard patio with more seats! The music is just loud enough for you to carry on a nice conversation (unlike some coffee shops I go to where you'd think it was a bar/club I'm at!) Service: I was in and out in 10 minutes tops. It might have been a bit longer if I ordered more than just one panini. The ladies working there were very sweet and friendly. Parking: At 12:50pm on a Friday, there are plenty of street parking on both 1st, and Bonita. Final Verdict: Is this some place I'd come back to? Yes! I'm so interested to taste the other paninis! Hyper Coffee is a great and comfortable place to go if you need to co-work, study or just chill and enjoy a cup of Joe. They have plenty of seating inside, but the outdoor patio in the back is beautiful, especially when the weather is nice. Located in downtown Arcadia, it's close to the Metro if you want to take public transit, but if you're driving, there's plenty of parking in the area. Most of it's two hours, but it should be plenty to sip, savor, maybe do some shopping and then be on your way. The drink that had me hooked was their Honey Nut Latte. I loved that it wasn't overly sweet and the coffee flavor still came through strong enough without being overpowering. I loved it so much I got a second one for the road - most definitely recommend. The staff are all really friendly and will help navigate you in the right drink direction based on what you're feeling that day. Though we didn't eat, the food that came out of the kitchen smelled and looked pretty tasty, so I'll for sure have to come back and try some of those menu items in the future! read more

My Fiancé and I tried this place for the first time last weekend. Overall I was pretty impressed with what they offer. We ordered a grilled cheese, bacon, egg, and cheese bagel, a bagel with lox, cream cheese and capers, 1 Snicker Latte, and strawberry and banana smoothie. I would try this again, I would probably just try different drinks. I did like how they got out whole order correct. Grilled Cheese (4 stars): I love how they put REAL cheddar in their grilled cheese versus the cheap American cheese most places put. I was a little disappointed with the freshness of the bread, the bread tasted a little old. Turkey, Cheese, and Egg Bagel (4 Stars): They use real cheddar, which I love! Pretty good size bagel sandwich. They put a little more meat than most breakfast places. Bagel Lox (4 stars): The put a little more lox than most breakfast places do and the capers are a good touch. Strawberry and Banana Smoothie (3 stars): The smoothie was watery and tasted like it was made from concentrate and no fresh fresh fruits were used. Unfortunately, I will never order this again. Snickers Latte (3 stars): I was expecting something a little more tasty. All I tasted was the dark chocolate, it was barely sweet, and I couldn't taste the caramel that it was supposed to come with. If I were to order this again, I would probably ask for more caramel, so it actually tastes like a Snickers. read more

This is a nice joint to go to if you're in the area, and in all honesty, this place has the best lavender latte I've ever had so far: Lavender latte: Very fragrant and wonderful...the lavender definitely adds a floral aftertaste to the coffee, which surprisingly compliments it very well. The lavender presence is solid, though not overwhelming. Definitely a must-try. Caramel latte: Also a fave of mine. A teensy bit too sweet for me, though creamy and smooth...very comforting and delicious. The espresso itself isn't as rich or fragrant as say, Klatch or Taza, but it was still satisfactory. Curry chicken salad: It was okay...to be honest the curry chicken was much too salty for me and I only managed to get through half of it...I wouldn't get it again, though flavor was there.
