The food was amazing! The presentation and different flavors lived up to the name. I listed to recommendations from the server (Wendy) since the food is very Chinese traditional and I wasn't familiar with the menu and she didn't steer me wrong. The pork dumplings were to die for. The pork bao bun was perfection. The music was great giving it an upbeat ambiance. We had the desserts and loved the presentation and all of them were worth trying. The duck was amazing! Huge portions since it comes in 2 stages. Basically they being you one half and then the other. Altogether loved the place! read more

The staff was great. The scenery was beautiful. The food was ok. Everything was a little spicy for me. It was no different than eating at PF Chang. They should really REMOVE the chili peppers because you can't bit into them or eat them. They just kind of in the way and you end up picking them from your food. Would I come back? No. I'd rather go to PF Chang. I came. I saw. That's enough. read more

Absolutely love this upscale Chinese restaurant on Brickell. The dim sum is to die for as is the Peking Duck and delectable short ribs. A must visit for their free-flow brunch and gorgeous decor. We went for our anniversary today and were treated like royalty by the entire staff. A special shout out to Adriano for treating us so well. We again visited Hutong, one of my favorite restaurants in Miami .Still a very good place, great food, but this time with it's up and downs. We decided to try the Emperor tasting menu. The food in general was excellent. The dim sum platter was very unique and exquisite. The steak was extremely tender and flavorful. Fried noodles and rice very delicious. On the other hand, the Peking Duck was cold and soggy. The fried chicken was non-descript and just ok. Dessert was piece of art again. Drinks were good, tasty and strong, but most of them were too tiki style for my taste for a dinner. Service was very good. Maybe it was my impression, but I felt that the menu had not changed that much from the last time I was there more than a year ago. I know that Miami is well known for restaurants with a night club ambience, and I really love that. But if I go for an early dinner at 7.00 pm , I expect a relaxing ambience, to enjoy the food and the company. A late dinner after 9.00 PM is another story . The restaurant was so dark it was hard to see what I was eating or read the menu, also music was so loud , that it did not feel right. I really love this place and I think it is a great place that I will keep coming back to, but I hope the core quality does not decline. read more

I just love this place, there's no better way to say it. The food is impeccable, drink menu is super creative, and the service is always on point. It is fine dining Chinese, afterall. Our most recent visit was christmas eve (aka the coldest day on record in miami) and had stupidly booked an outdoor table. Well with the heaters on outside and the blankets they brought out for us, we hardly noticed! My mother in law has a shellfish allergy and they walked us through all the safe options for her. The truffle mushroom bai, kung pao chicken, and duck fried rice are our favs. And you HAVE to try the Peking duck!! The best in town. A half duck is perfect for 4 read more

Had an amazing experience at Hutong Miami. The atmosphere is beautiful and upscale without feeling pretentious, making it perfect for a nice dinner or date night. The food was outstanding--every dish was flavorful, well-presented, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The service was attentive and professional, and the staff made great recommendations. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience and I would definitely come back. Highly recommend if you're looking for great Chinese cuisine in Miami. read more

The perfect date night spot. We went on a Friday. No parking only via Valet or parking garage across the street. The ambiance is very chic and romantic., very dark inside restaurant. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful and suggested the lobster bao. It was pretty good. First time tasting bao. The halibut fish was deboned table side and was so soft and fresh. The rice was amazing. Would definitely go back. read more

Amazing restaurant thanks adriano por la atencion y el servicio volvere pronto la comida me encanto

The Peking duck is amazing. After being doused with wine and set on fire, its skin is extremely thin, crispy and fragrant. One duck can be served in two ways, and the portion is generous. The dim sum platter is good, and all the dim sum are delicious. The spicy shrimp is tasty, and the mapo tofu tastes almost the same as that in China. The flavor is decent, but these two dishes are a bit salty and are better served with rice. The dan dan noodles and boiled fish are not recommended. read more

I was honestly pleasantly surprised by this place because I do not have high expectations for high end Asian restaurants and I still don't. We came here for the Miami spice menu special and got to select options from a preset menu and we also added on the Peking duck which were definitely a highlight albeit the price. My favorite were the dumplings that came first. They were very unique, interesting and delicious. For the main dish I chose the spiced golden tofu with fried rice which were fine, nothing particularly special or different but was good. Overall, the service was great. The staff was attentive and checked in on us as needed and provided great explanations of the food and provided recommendations. Although it was classier, we came here for brunch on a weekend with casual clothes and didn't have any issues along with the other guests. read more

We enjoyed social hour here at the bar. The social hour specials are only offered at the bar and are not available at nearby tables, and the bar seats do fill up. The food specials we had were great, and the $12 cocktail specails were outstanding, especially the Szechuan Dragon which is presented with smoke and a bubble. There are lots of tables inside and outside, and a great dinner menu, so we look forward to returning at another time for dinner. It is a great urban space with modern Asian design influences. read more

Food is consistently delicious and staff is friendly and attentive. I go there every two weeks or so.

Honestly, I loved everything about this restaurant. As much as I dislike the journey to Miami, they always have the best food spots in soflo. This is an upscale Chinese fusion restaurant. The atmosphere is slightly romantic. Dim lighting so it sets a true date night mood. The dim sum was very flavorful and the host cassie (I think) had the best recommendations for us to try. This place is a MUST-TRY. read more

I don't know why this place only has 3 1/2 stars. Not too sure what people are ordering here to not be able to give it 5 stars. We booked the flaming Peking duck reservation and I am so glad that we did. That was some of the best duck I have ever had in my life. Extremely crispy and juicy. We also got their shaken crab and their seafood fried rice. The service here was exception as well as the atmosphere. I absolutely loved this place. I can't wait to try the New York one also so I can compare it to this. But definitely delicious food here. read more

Very sexy vibe and upbeat atmosphere. We came to the restaurant for Miami spice and it was worth every penny. One of the better Miami spice menus that we have tried. Our waiter was very friendly and accommodating. The drinks were great and the food, even better. The first course was a dim sum platter with spring roll. The dim sum was one piece and was very fresh and flavorful. For the second course we got the duck breast pancake. It was a game changer. The duck skin was crisp and meat was tender. It came with rice paper to wrap the duck with sauce. Delicious. For the entree we had Kung Po style chicken as we were able to replace the pork for chicken with cashew and apples. You were able to get a side with the entree. We choice fried rice and I got green beans. So delicious. And to top it all off tiramisu or choice of sorbet which was lychee sorbet and raspberry. The portions were generous. The food was amazing. It was worth every penny read more

If you love northern Chinese food, this place is a must. In addition to their regular menu, they have a tasting menu I highly recommend. The portions are good, but allow easily for appetizer and main. You have to try the duck, it is the super star here. When I think of Chinese food, fine dining usually doesn't mix. This place takes a stab at that -- Chinese cuisine + fine dining. To give my honest opinion, the food is all right. I'd say it's somewhat authentic. Presentation is perfect. Taste on the other hand can be improved. Small portion sizes. Favorite dish was the Vegetarian Fried Noodles. Loved the twisted, fettuccine texture. Golden Fried Tofu was a huge bummer. Hot, but it was plain. Pricing is typical of more fine dining price. Service is great. Our waiter really paid attention to our dietary restrictions and made sure to inform us of any ingredients to be cautious of. It's the first time someone ever paid so much attention and was so meticulous, I really appreciated it. Ambiance is great. Take a look at my photos and you'll see why. read more

Overall, we had a great experience at Hutong. The dimsum menu was relatively extensive, but it's hard to gage what you'll get exactly. However, once the food arrived, it looked and tasted amazing and we got questions from other guests on what we ordered. The decor of the restaurant was also impressive, with hidden cool things and animated lighting that added to the overall ambiance. Look closer to the ceiling for IG-worthy decor features. #bubblytip: For Peking duck lovers, order half a duck to not get overly stuffed. read more

Hutong - WAGYU BEEF MILLEFEUILLE, PRAWN & BLACK TRUFFLE, YU XIANG CRISPY PORK DUMPLING - Chinese Near Me - Miami, Florida

My girlfriend was craving Chinese cuisine, and specifically, dim sum, for her birthday this year. We also hadn't done a "boozy brunch" in a very long while. I figured, why not combine the two? We had been meaning to try Hutong and their bottomless "Bubbles and Bao" brunch for a while now, so I figured I'd make her reservations there for her birthday brunch. We had one of the first reservations for brunch that day and were so excited when it finally came! We got to see the restaurant full-up over the course of the morning. Since it was a very rainy and windy morning, we were lucky that we got to spend our 2 hr time period drinking and eating inside in such a well decorated restaurant. The 2 hr experience had its highs and lows. We were very excited for the bottomless Laurent Perrier that was to be included with our brunch selection, but our server explained that due to supply chain issues, they had to substitute for bottomless bottles of Piper Heidsieck. This was a very tasty and more than adequate substitute. We certainly got our moneys worth here. The food itself was also delicious, all of it! I will say that things slowed down when we got to the middle of the menu. The restaurant got slammed and the kitchen wasn't able to bring out items as quickly as they usually would. Per our sever, it was recommended that we get through all of the plates first on the menu prior to re-ordering anything. We were worried that we weren't going to get the chance to do that before our 2 hrs were up but our sever luckily understood and we were able to re-order some items after all! Thank you, Hutong, for giving my girlfriend a memorable birthday brunch. While things slowed down towards the middle, they finished strong. Every single item was delicious. Some of the stand outs were the Truffle & Prawn Dumplings, the Wontons, Duck Fried Rice, and Tofu dishes. We will be back in the future! Hopefully we will be able to leave even more full next time and get to repeat more of the menu. If you haven't checked out Hutong in Brickell yet, give it a shot! Yes, it is expensive, but worth it for both the experience and quality of food in my opinion. We will have to try their famous "Flaming Duck" during a future visit for dinner. read more

I had this place booked marked for a long time and I guess my expectations were a bit too high. Sadly, I was disappointed with the food. I lived in Szechuan for 6 months after I graduated high-school and fell in love with the food, therefore, I was expecting a lot from this place. Let's start with the bad, we ordered the duck fried rice and it was more rice than anything else. The portion was good but we got two pieces of duck meat. We also ordered a meat dish and this is one of their signature dishes but we couldn't even eat it. It didn't look pleasing, it tasted very very bland and the overall texture was not good at all. Something else we didn't like was the fried black pork dumplings. They lacked flavor and the wrapper texture was mushy. We also had the soy milk ice cream and this was interesting. I know Asian sweets are not my favorite so I would say that if you like Asian sweets you should try this but if not, I wouldn't risk it. Now that we got that out of the way, let me tell you about tue good things. The Dan Dan Soup Dumplings are to die for. So much flavor, the soup was hot but not too hot that it would burn you. This was definitely my favorite dish. I also enjoyed the friend spring rolls. The service is great, the drinks were really good too. The ambiance is nice, the decoration is amazing. read more

Hutong is a beautiful restaurant and the food was amazing. The standouts were the Waygu Beef Mille-Feuille which was so crispy and tasty and the Dan Dan Noodles which we couldn't get enough of. The Peking Duck was outstanding as well. Both of the duck presentations were flavorful and juicy with crackling, crisp skin served with one of them. The prawn and truffle dumplings were also fantastic. My favorite cocktail was Comfortably Numb. It was a little sweet, a little spicy and so good. read more

Hutong used to be my "go to" restaurant. Our server was wonderful, Adriano. He made terrific suggestions for us. However, NO management came around to see if we needed anything at all. That is most unusual for this restaurant. So instead of discussing with the manager on the spot, I will state my issues with you in this review. The orders are 1/2 the size than they were in the past. 5 slices of duck($70) is NOT a half duck! I did mention to a server but the comment was passed over. It was not just the duck - the beans were a MUCH smaller size, and the noodles as well. No-one asked us if we needed anything once the food arrived. These sizes seemed applicable to Miami Spice sizes but we did NOT order Miami Spice. Everything was tasty and the server asked the kitchen for "not too spicy" for me, which the kitchen did follow very well . My husband was hungry when we left, as well as both of us being disappointed. We have been customers since opening but that will be changing after last evening - August 9th. So many restaurants are closing in Miami which is horribly disappointing, and I hope Hutong takes my review seriously or they won't be able to survive either. read more

If you are looking for Chinese food in Brickell....go here! I was actually really caught off guard with how good the food was. I came in with very low expectations because let's face it, it's South Florida. I have lived here for 30 years and we probably have a handful of great Asian restaurants. Anyway, back to Hutong! Food: We started with the Dim Sum Platter which had 2 Prawn Truffle Dumplings, 2 Mahi Mahi Dumplings, 2 Sichuan Prawn Dumplings, 2 Mushroom and Spinach Dumplings. I must say each dumpling was great but the prawn truffle was a hit! I happen to eat that last out of the 4 and I was shocked! I'm such a dumpling girl and I must say has to be in my top 5. We also had the Chefs Fried Rice which was alright. Wouldn't order that again and last but not least the 1/2 Peking Duck with Pancakes. Oh. my. Gosh. I must say one of my fav Peking ducks. It also came with a duck wrap dish , which was alright. We didn't order any alcoholic drinks that night so can't review on the drinks. Aesthetic: the inside was a nice modern industrial look with high ceilings. We went for dinner so they had low lights to set the mood. Service: perfect. My guest and I were talking so much, but she made sure to come around had our glass of water always filled and asked if we needed anything. All in all, I definitely would be back for the food. Had a great experience there and left satisfied. I'm a happy Yelp Elite when it comes to Hutong. read more

Ok...all is forgiven, Hutong and I have made up. Great meal last night celebrating a friend's kids birthday. Great service and food. Started off with the prawn egg rolls...outstanding flavor and thin crispy texture. Even the soy sauce that accompanied the egg rolls had outstanding flavor. Next up was the Peking duck. Quite good and on par, or better, than Hutong's rivals at Komodo and Novikov. Finally, shared the Kung Pao chicken and chef's fried rice. Again, excellent flavor and all the dishes served complimented one another quite well. Washed the food down with some Lucky Buddha beer. read more

I came here once, and I definitely have some mixed thoughts here, as did my entire party as we reminisce about our dinner evening at Hutong's upscale, Chinese restaurant. The consensus of the group, including mines, is that this place falls between two or three stars. If you're looking for a cute restaurant nestled in Brickell that will wow you from a presentation standpoint, Hutong definitely delivers. Quiet. Cute. Cozy. Dimly lit. These are just the few words that would describe Hutong. Oh, and don't forget to tilt your head upwards to check out the amazing digital artwork and slide show, which illuminates different patterns. Definitely reminded me of an upscale version of Disneyland's Indiana Jones ride and their video effects. Now on to the food and the quality, which is what most of y'all are probably mostly interested in. The biggest red flag for me is when a waiter swears that the entire menu is good, which can be true, of course, in only rare occasions. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case for Hutong. We ordered the following, and I'd categorize them as: Okay: Red Lantern Hutong Prawn Rolls Pan-seared Ginger Lobster Bao Dan Dan Xiao Long Bao Prawn & Black Truffle Four Seasons Beans Chef's Fried Rice Vegetarian Fried Noodles Must get: Peking Duck I wasn't impressed with most of the dishes, to be honest, but the Peking Duck was definitely a win. If you're with a big group, I'd recommend getting the whole portion. My biggest disappointment was the Red Lantern, which was elegantly served and presented to our table. The taste, temperature and seasoning, unfortunately, was a miss. Overall, I probably wouldn't come here again, but I can see why this place is a popular location to local businessmen and nearby Brickellians. If you're seriously looking for a high-end Chinese restaurant that is worth the pretty penny that will wow a crowd, you know, with presentations and taste, the whole package -- I would keep looking elsewhere. read more

We spent this Wednesday evening on Hutong's outdoor terrace. From greeting us at the door to the presentation of the check, the service was outstanding. We ordered a variety of shared items. In a town not known for its fine Chinese dining, Hutong sets the high standard. read more

I had high expectations for this place as some of my foodie friends recommended this place. However, they came for dinner while I came for lunch. I came with a group of 7 people, we had reservations. They sat us down right away as it was 95% empty. Two of us ordered drinks, both times someone got drinks spilled on them. No worries, maybe the server was in training. Appetizers came, the soup was lukewarm at best. The main course took Over 1 hour to come out and not all of the plates were hot. We did not order anything complicated, just Kung Po Chicken and Duck salad. In total waiting for appetizers, main course and dessert, it took over 2 hours!! This is Brickell, this isn't Saturday Brunch and it was mainly empty. Maybe this was the wrong place to go for lunch as we expected to be in and out within an hour. read more
