To be honest, they need to work a lot on their customer service. I came in trying to sell my desktop (which by the I called ahead of time to see if they buy them; according to them, they do) and when I showed them my computer, the rep told me that my computer was garbage and no one would buy it. The computer was my former gaming desktop which works perfectly fine (tested it as well) so I don't understand why he needed to make that insult. He also asked me for a price, since we were in the "bargaining phase" I figured I should go high and we both could work our way to a reasonable price for the both of us...Immediately, he says "Are you kidding, me!?" in such a rude gesture. Instead of belittling me, why not inform me professionally that the price was too high and for a computer like mine would range "x" amount; educate your customers. read more

We had a MacBook Pro destroyed by spilled water, but needed to transfer the data on the intact hard drive to a new MacBook Air bought from Best Buy. We stupidly bought the Tech Support contract ($150) there. After buying an adapter we were told should work, the Geek Squad could do nothing. My HP Omen desktop died after only a year and a half. I brought it in to Human Computer on a Saturday and had it back home by the following Tuesday. Turns out it needed a new motherboard which was hard to come by, but John was able to work his magic and find one that fit. Before going in I was really worried it couldn't be fixed, it wouldn't even turn on, and I'd have to shell out money I didn't have to buy a new computer. But with the replacement motherboard I wound up only paying $300 total out of pocket, and once again I have a working desktop computer. Terrible customer service. What kind of a computer repair place turns away 3 people? We went in to get my brother's computer fixed. We knew our experience would be not good right away when the customer in front of us asked "is this how you do business?" When it came our turn we talked to the asian man at the counter who would not even attempt to look at the computer or run any tests to determine the issue. We were just told that they do not fix computers that run AMD processors and gave us a shrug. What kind of computer repair store doesn't fix all kinds of setups? Would not recommend Human Computer to anyone, which is sad because word of mouth from what I heard is this was a reputable business. I brought in a laptop that had dropped on the floor with a request that day see if it were fixable or we could recover the data. The bad news is that neither was possible, but the bright side was that the staff was very professional and thorough and was able to look at my machine same day. I didn't expect them to be able to look at it so quickly but was pleasantly surprised. I went back in and purchased a laptop and they kindly explained the difference between the models I was considering. After the purchase was over, the gentleman working grabbed a thumb drive off the wall and gave it to me free of charge and told me to remember to always do my backups. My desktop had been running at a snail's pace for a couple years (!), and I finally relented and decided to take it to a computer shop. I went in for something simple; but needed to be taken care of as I am a college student who uses their laptop on a daily basis. I needed a small screw that somehow fell loose from my laptop and was making my laptop screen loose along with the bottom corner of the laptop hanging out (The power of a small tiny screw - Go figure!).
