I called in regard to a damaged computer and the man on the phone gave me GREAT advice! Although he couldn't service my device, he still bothered to help out. Much appreciated! read more

Very prompt, very honest, and helpful throughout the entire process. We definitely recommend, and use again.

Would definitely recommend going here to get your tech repaired! I needed my MacBook Air screen replaced before school started and Apple was looking at a $500+ repair. Christopher was able to help me out for a much cheaper cost and was very understanding, it was also a quick repair. read more

Woodcrest Computers - MacBook - IT Services & Computer Repair Near Me

I received a referral from a friend who was having problems setting up the TV's in her home. I was having real problems setting up the WiFi on a new printer. Nothing I did worked, as I didn't have the correct code to link it up to my computer. None of the codes on my gateway worked either. Chris tried them also with the same results. After thinking for a moment he entered a completely different code from the ones I had. Presto. Now it works perfectly. How he came up with whatever he entered is a mystery to me. Thanks Chris for that bit of magic. It was invaluable. read more

My husband's laptop stopped working. As it was his business laptop with his quick books, it was vital to retrieve all of the information. I made an appointment with Chris on Monday. The main board was blown. He ordered a new one that same day. Today we picked up the laptop and it's working beautifully! Thanks to Chris for his excellent work! I highly recommend his place for all computer needs. If we ever have trouble again, we will bring our stuff to Chris. read more

After spending over $2,000 on parts for a gaming computer, I decided to take it to here to have it built. The owner of the shop, Chris was very friendly and rather quick with the entire process. He was able to locate everything and put everything where it needed to go, and he installed windows 10 onto the SSD pretty fast. (That might also vary on PC Specs) overall, he built my computer to last and did well with the cable management. If you're looking for good build quality, and good communication, this is the place for you. read more

I cannot say enough positive things about Chris! My 1 year old computer went down and I went to a big commercial computer repair place that will remain nameless (rhymes with beak quad). I was going to be a week without my computer...A big problem. I saw Woodcrest Computers on Yelp and took a chance. He did not disappoint! I was up and running that evening. He recovered everything that I needed and got my computer back to running like new. Thanks Chris - you saved my life!!!! read more

I had my email compromised and then was locked out. I called Chris, and he assisted me first thing the next morning. He patiently explained what had happened and suggested the next steps I should take so I wouldn't have that problem again. I highly recommend Chris from Woodcrest Computers. read more

Ok this is the last straw for me. The owner of this establishment just wrote me a message threatening to sue me for slander. Absolutely ridiculous. Maybe I'm the freak incident and all of his customers are on cloud 9 with him, nonetheless it doesnt change my true testimony. The threats, fake evidence "I have all the receipts" -they end here. Receipts mind you, in those receipt books they sell at Office Depot. Only ONE of which I actually signed, so the rest are made up to be whatever he wants to write and try to present as evidence. Chris, you have an unhappy customer, period. Threatening me wont change that. read more

Chris is awesome! Been going to him for years after seeing him on KTLA 5 with Chris Burrous. He charges a flat rate and doesn't try to sell you something you don't need. Also he can many times try to fix your computer remotely which will save you a trip to his shop in Burbank. Yesterday he made a house call I'm in Sherman Oaks there is an extra charge but even still cheaper and more honest then any PC repair tech or Geek Squad will ever be. Thanks so much Chris!!!! read more

Chris is great. Knows what he's doing, loves what he does, and charges a fair rate to do the work. When computer issues hit, the timing is never good. In fact, it is usually the worst timing. He made himself available to help me out on very short notice and made short work of troubleshooting the issue. I know that when it comes to computer issues you're mostly afraid of two things: 1. Losing your data 2. Getting ripped off to either get it back or to be told that it is gone forever. Chris runs an honest business and I can say that I am glad I gave him a call. Highly recommended. read more

I started to edit and needed a SSD hard drive and a new video card. Chris recommended and installed the items. I am now editing and the computer is very stable. I recommend Chris highly for computer work. read more

I brought in my 2009, banged up from falling off a forklift, MacBook Pro to see if it could be operational again when using DJ and audio interfaces without the lagging issues it had. I was told my computer should just be sold for $50 bucks, but gave a shot with Chris to upgrade the RAM and do whatever magic he does to make it run faster... Not only does it run faster but it's completely seamless when running Pro DJ interfaces which completely blew me away because I did not think this was possible. The work he did was also extremely affordable. I feel super blessed to have had his help. Thank you! - DJ OMG read more

I have been dealing with Chris for a very long time now when it comes to computer and general IT work. He has managed to help me quite a bit going back to several XP machines and even the dreaded Windows 2000 days (yeah, yeah, I know). He has always been great with prices, and when he has had the time, he has even repaired my computers while I have waited. In fact, I have even purchased systems off of him in the past and me, being the cheap bastard that I am, have used those machines for years and years without incident. I will continue to come to him whenever I need work, upgrades or installations that are beyond what I can handle. read more

O.M.G. This place wins "Computer Repair of the Year". My six-month-old, brand-new laptop was dead. Dead as a door nail. No power, either by power cord or battery. Online solutions didn't work, and research showed that it was a bad motherboard. Dammit. That won't be cheap. After kicking myself for not buying the warranty, I looked on Yelp for suggestions. I saw this place has five stars, and this guy is open practically all day long, every day. On Sunday afternoon, I stopped by. Chris takes about two minutes to look at my computer, and breaks the news to me: The part will be expensive -- $10. Yes, ten dollars. Plus some very reasonable labor. It wasn't the motherboard, it was the power outlet! He didn't have the part on hand and would have to order it, but I left perfectly satisfied. Was ready five days later. The beauty? He determined that my power cord was the culprit -- and not only lent me one of his to tide me over, he found a cheap one on eBay and sent me the link! (I'm a regular eBayer so thanks to Buy It Now it was the work of a moment). Who else would do that?! So, bestow upon him your business. Shower him with gold, ivory and peacocks. If you personally know Bill Gates or Tim Cook, hook them up -- he deserves to be personal friends with them (and they can talk shop for hours). I will tell ALL my friends to go to him and him only. I'm so excited meeting him! It's like finding an honest car mechanic! Writing this from my now fixed, working-perfectly laptop! Yay!!! read more

Chris was recommended by a friend who had used him for a difficult computer issue. When I called, I was immediately impressed by his attitude and professionalism. He was able to assess and repair via remote fix. He is now my new best friend! read more

I've been going to Chris for a few years now, and he's done great work on our computers every time. For a flat fee of $40, less any parts, he can fix virtually any computer problem. He's also very knowledgeable about which operating systems work best, as well as recommending better performing system maintenance and anti-virus software. About a year ago, I had something weird happen with my PC and couldn't get the operating system to work, and paid the price dearly when I didn't go to Chris as I thought having someone who was willing to come to the house would have been a faster solution. Not only was I out $250 for the work, a few days later the same problem happened and I had to take it to Chris anyway! Most recently, Chris built me a new PC from the ground up that is off the hook fast and efficient that was easily 50% below what I would have paid retail, AND with the latest generation RAM and CPU. Chris also went above and beyond the call of duty and helped solve an Outlook glitch that I don't think many techs could have resolved so quickly. read more

I've been taking my computers to Chris for several years now. The quality of his work is always excellent, his prices are always fair, and his turnaround time is always super fast. I found Chris through Craigslist when my laptop screen was damaged. Being in the IT sales industry, I was able to source the product myself but did not feel qualified to break open the laptop and attempt to replace the LCD screen myself, even though I had several people tell me I could do it on my own. I contacted Chris and he was able to see me within the hour. It took no more than 10-15 minutes for him to replace my screen at a very reasonable cost. I even got to pay with my credit card (for a nominal fee). I would definitely recommend Chris. read more

Wonderful tech! Thank you for doing the best in SOCAL! Very friendly.

I met Chris about 15 years ago when he was in Burbank, My desktop was headed 6 feet under and I got a good deal on a Dell Laptop. I called Chris set up an appt at my house the next day. He showed up reviewed my problems and not only saved ALL my pictures and data from my fried e-machines he was also able to get the laptop upgraded as well. Last year I was working on a movie (TENET) being filmed at Eagle Mtn in Desert Center area of CA when my laptop began acting funny staying in Palm Desert I called Chris and drove an hour that Sat. so he could see what was up, about an hour later a windows 10 upgrade and some clean up I was good to go, Having complete TRUST in Chris 1000 % p e r i o d I agreed to have him monitor my laptop remotely in case anything came up ..Not too many people can say that about their computer guy. My computer had a particularly nasty virus that prevented me from running any antivirus software and that caused my computer to crash randomly. I'm not a tech novice by any means but I spent many hours trying to fix my computer and getting nowhere. I found Chris and made an appointment to service my laptop. Sure enough, he had to reformat the computer. Luckily, I had no important files on the computer that weren't already on another computer or Dropbox. He forced the computer into a Recovery mode and had a new copy of Windows 10 installing in less than 40 minutes. Chris is a extremely knowledgeable and a pro. He is my computer technician from here on out. Do not hesitate using Chris for any computer Mac or PC repair! read more

I know a little about computers and my dad knows a lot so I'm always wary of computer professionals. Chris is such a pro and such a lovely guy. I was panicked when I had my laptop suddenly fail me and despite it being a terrible computer with terrible hard to find parts, Chris got it all taken care of for me and kept me informed along the way. His willingness to explain and show me the issue really built my trust, and he's been excellent at communication while the computer continued to be finnicky. He went above and beyond. I will definitely be using Chris for any of my computer needs going forward. read more

Very happy with his work. He went above and beyond to repair my computer. He spent a lot of time for only $40.00 labor and took the time with me to answer all my questions. Saw Chris on the KTLA morning news Sat. 2/09/13 I was impressed with the flat rate of $40 labor. He spruced up my old laptop and had it running like new in 1/2 hour. He is personable and ready to help and really knows what he's doing! read more

Chris is a perfect blend of knowledge, ability, and customer service. He went out of his way to meet me at odd times and days to solve my problem with my laptop. Chris was honest, fair and kind. I was a law student who's "BACKSPACE" button broke on their laptop with a pending final exam just 2 days away. Even though Chris did not have the rare backspace button I needed, he still went out of his way to try to find it at another vender. Due to Chris's referral, I found the backspace key in the knick of time and took my exam. The greatest thing about my experience with Chris, however, is that he quickly and accurately assessed my dire situation and thought of other options to help me out right on the spot (plug and play keyboard via USB). He then recommended me to "another" vendor just to help me out. This was the perfect example of CUSTOMER SERVICE and not just as a company owner, but as a caring human being who was there to HELP another person in a time of need. Chris helped me out even knowing that I was not going to be a customer that day. However, the IRONY is that because of his true compassion to solve my problem and not to mention, answer all of my frantic phone calls, I will now ALWAYS be a customer of Chris and his company CMPCPRO. Chris is definitely the "PRO" IN CMPCPRO. THANK YOU CHRIS! Sincerely, Bryan & Faviola read more

Let me start out by saying that I have used IT company after IT company, only to be left feeling raped (for lack of a better word). I met the owner Chris at my previous job and brought him to my new one. If you are looking for someone who requires little information to understand your specific needs without going overboard and charging you am arm and leg, then give this guy a call. He gets it and has 100% common sense!!! If you are having computer and or networking issues, do yourself a favor, save a headache, and get him over there!!!! He charges a flat rates and serves all of LA and LA county. When I called him recently, last minute of course, after spending 6 hours trying and thinking I could do to do it myself, he arrived 30 minutes later and solved the problem. I didn't have all of the computers and software at the time so he remoted in the next day to set everything up. (AND he contacted me FIRST to follow up, not the other way around, AND even called the following day to make sure everything was up and running) His motto is simple, if you are constantly contacting your IT personnel, then they are not doing their job.... Once your network has been set up and configured, you should only see him for maintenance and updates. PLUS he will explain how to set things up for the next time so you are educated and don't have to waste money on something simple.... He picks up quick and you don't have to go into detail for whatever type of software you're company uses. JUST CALL HIM!!!!! read more

Someone tried to scam me out of money by sending me a fake Microsoft virus security alert on my computer. I didn't want to take a chance on calling the on screen number because of all the scammers. I've been using Chris' services for about 5+ years. He has been available many times after hours for pickups, drop offs or phone updates/consultations. He has not only resolved software issues, but also reloaded several operating systems that needed a fresh start. I've had parts that went bad replaced; hard drive, monitor drives, DVD drive. When I wanted to convert a computer to a 6 monitor display, Chris was able to get it done. Only down side, is that some of the times to completion schedules were not adhered to. Seems like Chris has a lot of projects going at once.. just what one might expect from a guy that has great prices and can get the job done. read more

Trust, Quality & Affordability. These are the reasons why you should do business with Chris. When I first started my business in 2012, Chris drove out to my office to set up and secure our network. He was honest, amiable and very affordable. This man has a passion for what he does, and that passion is reflected in his deep knowledge of computer systems and his ability to take that complicated information and explain it in simplistic terms. Fast forward 4 years, and Chris is still the only person I trust with dealing with my computers. He recently built us a very powerful computer at a great price. It goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway: I highly recommend Chris for your computer service needs!! read more
