I'd like to give Daniel a top rating for fixing my computer. For about 4 months my pc was going black screen for no apparent reason. I took the pc to Daniel at Komptek and he diagnosed the issue and resolved the problem. First he certified that the hardware was not the cause. After checking hardware he diagnosed the problem being background services and glitches from old software. Since picking up the computer I have not had anymore black screen issues and all around the computer is stable and more responsive. I recommend Daniel to anyone who has computer problems and wants them taken care of properly. read more

Daniel is the BEST!! I shattered my screen and needed it repaired. When I contacted him about repairing it, he told me it would only take a day. I waited until 3 weeks later to contact him again and this time with a time line on having it back to me. Well....he did just that. Took it to him Sunday and got it back today (Tuesday). It works and looks new. If I happen to shatter my screen again (which I wont) he will be the only person I'll let fix it. read more

Broke my laptop screen so I called a few places. Komptek was super nice and gave me a great deal, even urging me to shop around and stated they would price match other businesses. Decided to go with them after hearing the ridiculous prices other places gave. Service was quick, easy, and Daniel is super friendly. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Avoid using this service! I dropped my computer off to Daniel's home repair business on March 10, 2014. He looked at my MacBook Pro for me, as I was traveling in California at the time. He repaired my hard drive and returned it. When the trouble still persisted, I brought it back so he could take another look. He said the problem would take some time to trouble shoot, but that his company often ships computers back to clients when they are repaired. On March 10 he let me know he would ship it back to me as soon as it was repaired. On March 16, he informed me he was waiting on parts to come in. I tried to touch base several times, and was told on April 2 that he was busy and to call later. When I called, his voicemail box is completely full. He didn't answer a single inquiry until April 24, when he said he was shipping the laptop to me (no word on whether it was fixed). I asked for a shipping confirmation. Since then, he has not provided a shipping confirmation, nor has he responded to any communication (text, calling, or email). I am out of options, but need my laptop back, as I need to backup my information. The way that he has completely stopped replying has been unprofessional and unacceptable, and it appears that he is just planning on never returning my MacBook Pro. While he was pleasant to work with at the beginning, I now have a case where I have lost all of my information and can not get a single call, email, or correspondence back. Never returned calls or computer. Multiple calls were made, he initially answered the phone and as time went on he no longer answered the phone. We wanted reimbursed for what we spent and our computer returned. We never received computer back or any money. Terrible service. read more

Should've written this review a while ago. Took my comp. back to him and he fixed the speakers in an hour and got it back to me right away. As far as communication went this second time around he was reachable and I was very pleased with how smooth the process went. Also, I forgot to mention in my first review he did a quick fix for me on my comp screen because it was loose. He did it as a favor for free since my computer was already opened up. It isn't permanent or anything and it'll probably get loose again with time but the fix was much appreciated and the screen is as good as new now. I will most likely use his services again in the future. read more
