Wayne checked everything out. Didn't charge me a dime. Told me how to order new battery online and how to change internal battery out.....$35. Done in a couple days. Absolutely the best place to take your broken, sick, worn out computer to be found. My wife and I found PC-Fix quite by accident. Seems our printer had died, and as we drive along Base Line Rd. on a regular basis, decided to stop and find out if they fixed printers. Well they don't. BUT, these honest people did advise me on who to contact, and their recommendation proved to be well worth the stop. ( As this is a review of PC-Fix; enough said about printers.) A short time later my wife's desktop caught a cold, or something, and we remembered about how courteously we were treated earlier; so off to PC-Fix we went. How fortuitous, Wayne Pidwell, owner, diagnosed the problem, and as the symptoms were not terminal, quickly returned the machine back to normal. Over time Wayne has fixed and maintained a number of our machines, lending his skills and expertise to the dilemmas my wife and I encounter in this technological age. We find fair prices, honest appraisals, and expert repairs with PC-Fix. And the best part? My wife and I now consider Wayne, and his wife Cindy, good friends. Do not waste time even calling around as i did...just GO! Tired of 20 somethings in big box stores treating you like your are stupid for asking questions? Tired of being told you need to buy their new disposable model...when your older one is better made? Saved $1400 just having mine rebooted and cleaned...and I got to see which parts inside work perfect and which will be replaceable IF they ever start to wear out. I recently just built a gaming PC and it was working until I had a black screen of death when playing high end games. I looked online and saw this place had great reviews and decided to come here. Going in is like going to a doctors office but better. I told Wayne my problem and his diagnosis was probably my video card. He tested my Power supply for free and concluded that the power wasn't a problem. Wayne was super friendly and knowledgeable about computers. He unplugged some cables and switched around the ram from what I saw. At that point there was nothing he could do if the problem was my graphics card. So after giving me a diagnosis that its most likely my video card, I had everything I needed and left. I'm not sure what he did but after going to PC-Fix my computer is working with no problems. I'm able to play high end games and my computer doesn't crash anymore. Maybe going to PC-Fix made my computer feel better ;) read more

4 month old ASUS computer hard drive crashed (total loss of all data) I had no backup-(will never let that happen again). Response through the MFG was send it in and we will look at it and repair as needed-2-3 weeks minimum! Need this for work! PC-fix tried everything then last ditch attempt using old school program that "rebuilds and works" each sector at a time (above my head) recovered 90+% of my data (Asus AND a data recovery company BOTH told me that the data was lost-POSSIBLE recovery starting at $1,500) So they really saved me big!
