Ok so my most embarrassing story has a happy ending, thanks to Human Computer! I got a new job recently and my VP made an exception for me and purchased a new laptop for me. Two weeks later, I somehow shattered the screen. I've never broken a computer in my life - and now I've broken my brand new laptop on I got in my brand new job. We went to Human Computer in Riverside to look for a laptop for Codi's 18th Birthday. I did not want to go to the big chain store (who's name I won't mention ) due to their lack of customer service. Not only are they wonderful they are also super Knowledgeable when it comes to computers! They showed us different laptops and sold Codi and my Husband on one! My dell laptop charger broke and I desperately needed one for work. I bought one on Amazon that claimed 2 day shipping but then got an email that it would take a week. I then tried Best Buy, target, Walmart looking for a universal charger but the cheapest was $60 - $80 which is way out of my price range. This repair center is legit! I brought my MSI laptop in today as a 911 and Stan spent the better half of the day trying to clone my laptop to a rental so I could send it back to the manufacturer under warranty and not have any down time. Unfortunately there was some sort of internal protection so the cloning wasn't successful. I asked Stan what I owed and he said zero because he was unsuccessful in doing the cloning. I have been going to the human computer for years now and normally they do a good job. But the last two times I've gone they've bricked my computer and this time was even worse. I asked for them to install a new NVME drive onto my computer and copy all the files over. This process took upwards of 4 hours due to the person working on it telling me my computer was blue screening and not working correctly. They then told me that they installed the drive but couldn't get all the files onto it downloaded and instead loaded it up on to another drive and proceeded to give me the drive. I now have a completely factory restarted computer with no files on it, where I have to redownload everything myself. Move files over onto the new drive which I paid them $130 dollars to do and overall completely inconvenienced me. Not worth the money, and not worth the time. read more

My laptop wouldn't close properly and I figured it was some hinge issue. Did my Yelp research and settled on Human Computer, though I live in Redlands. John helped me and was always very friendly and kind. He noticed it wasn't a hinge issue but a back cover issue, maybe both a top and back. I paid my deposit and he submitted an order for parts. Here's how the rest of the experience went: - Waited a week, then brought in laptop to fix. Turns out it was a top and bottom cover issue, so he replaced both. - Picked up laptop and noticed touch pad protruded and would "click" back into place but it would pop back up. - Took it back to HC; was told a new touch pad was needed. Part would be ordered and I was to give them a call to check when the part arrived. No charge for labor or parts. Returned home; noticed a screw was just laying on my screen when I opened my laptop. - Confirmed part was received; dropped off laptop at about 10:30am and asked if it'd be done by end of day. Was told it would be worked on immediately. By 4:30pm, no call was received so I called them, since they closed at 5pm. Was told I'd get a call by 10am the next day regarding status. - No call received so I called them and was told it was ready for pick up. - Laptop was picked up but since I was in a rush, I didn't test it out in store. John stated if issue wasn't resolved, he'd give me credit towards another computer. Thanked him and left. Today, I finally was able to test out my laptop. Touch pad works but definitely feels different. Top cover continuously pops up, bottom cover is slightly off, and backing seems crooked. It's been a hassle because of the distance but it doesn't help that I went in for one thing to be fixed but ended up with some more issues that seem unrelated. John was always polite and I appreciate the offer for store credit, but I don't think I'll be back. read more

Well, I have not had to come here in about 8 years, and I can tell you they still do the best job in town. I needed an upgrade on a computer that I use (this one I am typing on for that matter), and the process is so easy, so simple with this company. Upgraded to a SSD, and they were not lying; this thing is 30-40 times faster than my original HD. We also found that my Vid. card was the bigger part of the problem, but since I don't game on this anymore, the internal is just fine. Give them a try if you need some computer work done. read more
