It's Huey's! Beer, burgers, bloody mary's, and the best wings anywhere. The steak stick is always a good choice as is the Bluff City burger. My kids love hitting people in the head with toothpicks (they're really supposed to make it in the ceiling.) My husband and I have been coming to Huey's since before we were a "we." We have had many great times here over the years. Each location varies a bit in it's "vibe," but it's always a good one. Happy eating! read more

Hueys has always been our go to place. For years, the burgers couldn't beat. I never had a bad thing on the menu. But times and economy has had its affect at least at the Collierville place. I had the chicken stick a couple of weeks ago. It had slight burning (with the burnt taste) and very over cooked. Most people at table were complaining their burgers appeared to have shrunk. A week later went back with friend. We both ordered the chicken sticks. Too dry to eat almost. We noticed the size was a lot smaller than they use to be and maybe the reason behind overcooking. Needless to say we won't eat them again. Service was great as usual but would not makeup for too little and overcooked food. I've been hearing this from a lot of people. read more

I grew up eating at Huey's madison ave. Always a favorite. Just tried Collierville. Wow. Things have changed. Rude ass waitress. Basically a dump. We just left. Don't try to eat here. Maybe a good spot to drink. Go somewhere else. read more

Would've given it 0 stars if it was an option! Had our small 14 pound cockapoo with us and wanted to sit on the patio! After going in and asking if a small dog could sit with us, we were very rudely told "no pets"!!!! No sign or anything on the door, and we were only ASKING if it was ok. More places need to be dog friendly, especially if you have an outdoor patio! Losing business to paying customers!! Won't be back. read more

There are so many good things to say about Huey's! Huey's is a great spot to meet up with friends for a quick bite or hang out for a while and enjoy some food and drinks. My favorite menu items are the burgers, sweet potato fries, chicken tender salad, and last but definitely not least, their cheese fries. Huey's cheese fries are definitely a must order! There's nothing better than steak fries covered in cheese, bacon, and scallions. Pair them with a side of ranch and you're in heaven! They may not be the healthiest, but they sure are delicious. read more

They did offer outside seating but there was a wait. However, wait wasn't long and timing was on point. I'm not a huge fan of Hueys. I only went to dine with my mom due to the outside seating. She had the fish & chips and enjoyed it. I think I had a bun less burger which was okay. read more

Love the Senior Huey, it is really the best burger in Memphis. Huey's is somewhat of a regular weekly lunch stop, but during the week, I am staying pretty heart healthy and going with the grilled tuna salad or the Mahi plate - both are great. But when it is time for a break to get spoiled, nothing hits home like the Senior Huey and a Ghost River draft. in Collierville, the staff is great, and it is always busy. If Dallas is around, she will treat you great, ask for her! read more

My wife and I were waiting on our food and a ROACH ran across the table. my wife screamed and we immediately notified the hostess and our server and asked for a manager. After 5 minutes waiting .... We asked again where is the manager. The hostess said he would be right over. After a couple minutes a bartender came over said he is not the manager and the manager was not there. He said he called her and she was sorry. He went on further to say they had sprayed for roaches and the spray may have stirred them up. We noticed that the hostess reset the table. She didn't spray anything. She didn't wipe, clean or sanitize the area neither warned the guests. At that point we declined our food for free or carry out. This is totally unacceptable and we will report to the Health Department. This situation was poorly managed. No leadership. No management. No mitigation. read more

I went to Hueys on March 18, 2023, and ordered two catfish platters. The food was not good at all. The catfish had a "FISHY" taste like the fish was not cleaned correctly. Very disappointed after being told catfish was what all the customers ordered... (I BET) read more

TWO-OUT STOLEN BASE! Huey's never disappoints. This was the first time though at this particular store. I usually hit the ones in Memphis and Germantown. I grabbed dinner here a couple of months ago on the way out to see a friend's son play football. I sat at the bar which was cool. The bartender was interactive and engaging. I had the grilled chicken sandwich with pepper jack cheese. It was very good. I've had the chicken philly sandwich before and it's good as well. I ordered a side of the steamed vegetables on this occasion as I was trying to avoid fried food (the steak fries and sweet potato fries are killer here though). The service was fast and friendly and Huey's always makes you feel at home. They do a good job training their staff. read more

the waitress was fantastic food was great but witnessed a white man at the bar make a black man get up just so him and his group would not be separated the black man refused so the white guy set down next to him and started talking to him the black man was very upset and got up and left. the bartend should have said something to the man and his group that just made the experience negative. read more

Always a long wait for EVERYTHING!!! The waiters are very short with you and rush you to order as soon as you sit down.

Slow and inattentive service. There was what appeared to be a roaming manager, but whatever he was doing, it wasn't backing up service. No apparent reason as the restaurant was not particularly busy. read more

We were craving Huey's, and we ordered to-go. They didn't do delivery, although I would assume they would the coming year. The food was great, as was the service. They made our burgers like they were flash-fried. We ordered the Madison Avenue Burger and the buffalo chicken sliders and got fries. They had ketchup. I was urged to dip them in ketchup, and I did. The food was tasty. I will return. Also, you can shoot your toothpick in the ceiling. read more

Having grown up in Memphis, I was extremely excited to come here when I came in town with friends. The one star is based on the service. The service is ridiculous. I think everyone there either hates their jobs or hates customers. The server was very scripted and couldn't wait to leave our table. The food runner slammed our appetizer on the table and walked away without saying a word. Another server brought our food out and did the same thing. We just didn't have a very pleasant experience due to the service. She asked if everything was ok and immediately walked away!? The food was great but overall just not worth going back to this location. I understand that today's young workforce isn't what it should be, but when you work for tips you need to at least act like you care! We didn't even bother talking to a manager because the staff sets the tone, if they don't care then management most likely doesn't either. I could be wrong of course but we just didn't feel very welcome! If you're in the mood for a great burger then go ahead but don't expect your servers to go above and beyond for you! **** And then the manager sends a copy and paste reply. Thanks but I'm good. Not coming back and will be sure to tell my Memphis friends to visit other Huey's locations. read more

Enjoyed a A+++ experience at Huey's! Service, food, quality and cost. Truly one of the most COVID safe restaurants you could visit. Sadly, they are only allowed 25% occupancy due to health department directives so the restaurant is about empty. They could safely hold many more customers but are forced to comply with restrictions. This is a wonderful family owned community namesake restaurant that is family friendly no matter if you want to take your child's soccer team or if you want to meet a friend for a cocktail. Sadly, unless you support these local restaurants they won't be around much longer. I'll be back at Huey's as well as other local restaurants. They need us. And, we need them! Thank you Huey's for all you do! I'll be back! Excellent Experience! read more

We were passing through Tennessee on vacation and stopped near Memphis for the night. We had gotten in LATE on a Sunday night and there weren't a lot of options still open at that time on a Sunday. Luckily for us Huey's was open. We got fantastic signature burgers, thick cut fries, and onion straws. To top it off, there was a live band. It made it a little noisy for weary travelers, but the band was really good and diners actually got up and danced. It was a very fun atmosphere. Yummy food and good times!! read more

I went here with a couple of friends and I ordered the world famous burger. Immediately after we left the facility, I noticed that my stomach was starting to hurt. I thought nothing of it and went home like normal. But it was nothing close to normal. This restaurant must have not properly cooked their food. It gave me diarrhea and stomach problems. I also ordered the well done and not the rare options for the burger so that goes to show something for sure. All in all please do not go here you might be poisoned by the food. read more

Sameo, sameo as all the other locations regarding menu, service, etc. However, this location is always super crowded and there are not nearly enough parking spaces in this plaza. Yummy awesomeness warms my soul during these cold winter days. read more

I have always enjoyed Huey's and their amazing burgers, but this location is slacking on good service. At the beginning of the service we were promptly greeted and put in our orders... then the waiting began. We were extremely shocked to watch the employees eating food that appeared to be sent back, as we waited nearly 40 min for four burgers. We watched as one employee rolled her eyes as she was bringing food to people's table, but had no problem eating the food that came back? After we got our food it was delicious as always and it made up for the long wait... but our waiter was no where to be found to get extra condiments for our table. Instead we watched as he sat watching the tv.... the food is the reason this review made it to 3 stars because it made up for the service.... I was disappointed in the laziness and rude etiquette of the staff working today. I really hope they improve because I absolutely love the food and environment. read more

Huey, one of the most overrated places in town... What about their burger is famous? Sorry, I have to ask that question. I went here with one of my friends to this Huey. Now, he's a Huey fan. In the end, he was trying to convince me that this Huey is simply not as good as the one in East Memphis, due to the staff here. So, okay, I may need to try other Huey's... I also took him to Belmont Grille on Forest Hill later, so he definitely know what I was getting at about the overrated stuff. Sure, Huey is better than backyard burgers, why I still eat here! But anyway, the location is simply run by teenagers or college students. The best time I've ever had here is when I was setting at the bar. An adult waiter makes a load of difference in service here! The phillies here are actually my favorites when I used to eat cheese. Now I have to eat the burgers and I would say that, after trying every burger on the menu, I like the classic "famous" Huey burger the best... Maybe that's why it's famous. The fries here are them thick steak fries, which goes very well with chili. I actually get a cup of chili here (no cheese) to dip the fries in. My biggest reason for eating here is convenience and them being open late. read more

Went here the other day and was not happy. Showed up after lunch and it was seat yourself, ok. Well after walkin past about 4 dirty tables I settled on one that was good. All as employees stood around the bar talkin and laughin. The waitress go awhile to come to the table and she seemed more interested in the conversation with the others at the bar. Took her forever to come back and finally take our order. The only reason she came over was because she caught me just staring at here waitin. Sorry you gave me your name at first but that doesn't mean I should have to call you every time I need somethin. My drink was completely empty twice and finally was brought a water jug to refill myself which I was ok with. Waitress came back one time to see how our food was and literally turned and almost ran back to the bar to continue talkin with the other employees just standin around. Oh there was a random guy there too but he was just part of her entertainment I guess. Anyway if you don't want help customers and want to hang out by the bar then punch out and grab a drink. For the food, only mediocre. The shrimp on my po boy was just frozen shrimp with the tails pulled off. I know that because I had to pull the shell on the top off of one piece. The onion rings were ok. Hey the water was ice cold though and I liked that!! I'll try again in awhile. Hopefully I can get some better service next time and next time I'll order a burger and a beer. read more

First time eating at a Huey's was in collierville. I was not impressed at all. The cheese fries are horrible! They come with hard cheese that sits on top of the fries leaving the bottom of fries with nothing on them. My husband and I were sick for two days after eating their food. I'm not sure about the other Huey's location but the one in Collierville is a waste of money! read more

Fantastic burger but pass on the sides and the fried mushroom appetizer! My husband and I met our daughter for lunch today. Was seated quickly at a clean, somewhat sanitized booth. As with all restaurants these days, you have to scan the QR code for the menu. Our waitress wasn't the friendliest and I assumed maybe she was having a bad day. Poor attitude and bad service all the way around. Decided on fried mushrooms as an appetizer. Way overly breaded and barely a mushroom to be seen. Finally our burger order was taken and it was if we were a bother to even be there. Once our burgers arrived, they were delicious and cooked to perfection! Thank goodness! My husband had the sweet potato fries which ended up being bland, unseasoned cold waffle fries. My order of onion rings consisted of four overly breaded rings. Four. And, the sides are extra money nothing came with the burger. This was my first visit to Huey's. I'm doubtful I would recommend. read more

Poopsie and I ended up at Huey's in Collierville late-ish last night after the Roller Derby. We both enjoyed our meal and our drinks. They have a new kind of beer, A Huey's beer, brewed for them by Abita. It's pretty good. A little sweeter than my usual fare, bordering on the 'girlie beer' a bit. Poopsie had a burger with onion rings. Nice thing about Huey's, you can tell them exactly how you want your burger and that's how you'll get it. She likes the onion rings, I'm not a big fan. I had my usual dilemma, burger, nachos, burger, nachos, burger,.. anyway you get the picture. Nachos won. I ordered them light on the lettuce and beans and extra jalapenos. It was perfect except that nobody really understands extra jalapenos.I mean lots. Anyway, another serving about made it right. Love them jalapenos, but you feel them again about 12 hours later. Great waiter, cheery, attentive, we were well taken care of. Now for the stoopid thing. I had to finish drinking beer at 11:45. Not allowed to get another beer after that time. I could drink hard liquor until my eyes fell out, but no beer. Apparently this is a Collierville law designed to... make the town look provincial and backwards? read more

We use to frequent this restaurant quite a bit. Then my sixteen-year-old son went in on two separate occasions with a friend. They were ignored and I can only assume that maybe the waitresses did not think they would receive a generous tip from young patrons. They sat for 20 minutes while the servers played on their cell phones. I reached out to the manager on two separate occasions in which I did not get a reply. I also called and left a message in which I did not get a reply. It is too sad that I will not be spending my hard earned money at this establishment anymore. Absolutely love their burgers read more

Huey's is the local "bar and burger" place with a family vibe. There's a full bar, entertainment on the weekends, and plenty of tables and booths where they serve up tasty burgers. I go to this location the most as it is close to home, but all of them serve up the same quality food with fast friendly service. It is the service that makes Huey's stand out. Generally prompt service staff, food comes out quickly, and in the rare case of a problem it is quickly rectified. It's not unusual for a manager to ask you about your meal, and they really do seem to care. Burgers are the main star, with my favorite being a Smokey Melt. They also have some nice salads, a few seafood dishes, and some "oddballs" like the Tamale plate. There really should be something on the menu for everyone. Prices are quite reasonable, in particular for high quality food. In Collierville it's the best place to get a burger. read more

My wife & I have been back many times since my last review. Our experiences have gotten better and better. A popular neighborhood bar with way too many kids for my liking. My wife loves their burgers because she likes hers rare and they do a great job cooking your burger the way you want it. I love the grilled chicken sandwich, always cooked to perfection and never dried out. Their french fries, while plentiful, are frozen and, thus, lacking in flavor, COLD beer and a large selection of both draft and bottles. Prices are reasonable and fair. The waitstaff are friendly and efficient. We usually sit at the bar (less kids up there) and the bartender knows our favorites without asking. I have eaten at the location downtown and enjoyed it many times but this location is our neighborhood bar. Try it, you'll like it! Just don't bring your kids. read more
