Cruisin Heavy

Come for the fare, stay for the flair  Enjoy events & first-class live entertainment weekly from Memphis's most talented musicians along with crowd pleasing food & drink specials Shuffle up and deal Monday nights with River Rats Rounders live Texas Hold'em 7 & 9 free to play no buy in.  Thursday nights' $6.99 steak night & Karaoke. Belt out the classics & latest hits with your host Charlie Belt. Everydays' Always a party never a cover.   Hadley's is consistent with their food, service & entertainment. My last visit was no exception. I have been coming here for years attending live music performances & enjoying countless poker games. They hold special events from Bike Nights to Charity events as owners Bill Marchese & Rick believe in helping those in need & giving back.     Despite the limited menu selection they have a few tasty offerings. The special I have enjoyed is their Thursday steak night special or I order their Burgers Philly's & Wings. Their steaks and burgers have a fresh off The Grill taste & perfect sear with golden brown delicious steak fries. All cooked & proportionally seasoned to perfection & topped to my liking. My favorite app is their wings served hot tender & drenched in hot sauce with plenty of ranch for dipping.     Their simple selections, satisfying and I will order other menu item in my continued patronage here, The bar & wait staff, never miss their stride in service with their crowd of players attending Mon night poker they are making sure drink & food orders are fulfilled along with keeping patrons drinks supplied. The wait bar staff & cooks do an excellent I would recommend this place for a bar going experience.     Hadley's has an excellent accoustics & sound system which sounds perfectly, regardless of whose performing. There has never been a moment where the sound has been dissatisfying except if it was a band that did not appeal to me. My favorite performance here has been Cruisin Heavy they are regulars to the stage & have been consistent in their song sets. Outside of Poker Karaoke & events this is the live show I love coming to see. If you want to dance during the live performances or music they will clear some space in the dining area. I will be coming back here when I am in town again.   Be sure to like it on FB & tell a friend Hadley's:  https://www.facebook.com/hadleys.whitten/ River Rat Rounders: https://www.facebook.com/RiverRatRounders/ Cruisin Heavy:  https://www.facebook.com/cruisinheavyband/

Flying Saucer Draught Emporium is a lively and fun spot with a great atmosphere and a menu that…read moreseriously delivers. The energy in the place is infectious and it is the kind of restaurant you want to come back to again and again. I ordered the Wildfire Burger, and it is honestly one of the best burgers I have had. It is made with black angus beef, 44 Farms Philly Steak, queso, peppers, onions, mushrooms, jalapenos, and Pepper Jack, all served with hand cut fries. Every bite was bold, juicy, and packed with flavor. The hand cut fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned to match. We also shared the Hot Mama 12 inch pizza with a chicken substitute, and it was outstanding. Fresh herbs, tomato sauce, mozzarella, red pepper flakes, basil, and local honey on a perfectly baked crust. The combination of heat and sweetness from the honey made it stand out from any pizza I have had recently. The menu here is creative and extensive, covering everything from shareables and salads to burgers, sandwiches, bowls, and saucer pies. There is truly something for everyone. The service was great and the whole experience felt well put together from start to finish. If you are looking for a fun night out with great food and a lively crowd, Flying Saucer is the place to be. Highly recommend!

It was been a while since I came here but it is better than I remember…read more They let you get samples of the beer before you make a choice. The food and decor are great. I remember getting the Xul PB&J cider. This tastes exactly like PB&J. I tasted the Blackberry Mule which tasted good but seemed weak. We ordered the nachos which came with a ton of these tiny peppers that were not really hot. Do not sit outside if you plan on getting food. Flies everywhere. Not the business fault. You are outside.

My friend and I were in town and decided to try this pub for a meal, despite the reviews we had…read moreread. First off, I want to say that Craighead County is really hurting small businesses. In this day and age, who still limits the sale of alcohol? I wanted to bring in my zero-sugar root beer, but none of the businesses allowed it due to these outdated, prohibition-style laws. When we arrived, we were the only customers, so we were seated immediately. After placing our orders, we waited a reasonable amount of time before my friend's salad arrived. However, he barely got halfway through his salad before our entrees came out--way too soon! My friend had ordered bangers and mash, but we couldn't help but laugh when the food arrived. The bangers were so dried out, it seemed like they'd either been microwaved or left in the deep fryer for too long. The potatoes looked fine, but my friend said they were completely flavorless. I ordered fish and chips, and it was awful. The fries were lukewarm, the coleslaw had an overpowering horseradish taste, and the fish was so greasy I couldn't eat it. I had to pick out the fish with a fork and leave the soggy, grease-soaked breading behind. There was literally a pool of grease on my plate. The saddest part? My first bite, which had a bit of everything, actually tasted great--but that didn't last. Somewhere I read that the pub describes itself as "a pub, not a restaurant." Believe them.

I have never patron an Irish pub that only had one beer on tap, Guinness…read more Looked to be 20 taps that had no handles. Only explanation was that it didn't work. The only alternative was domestic, bottled beer. Now, having read the prior reviews I don't think this is a one-off situation where I would say "give it a second chance."
