Worst restaurant experience I've had in a long time…read more I don't know how you manage to ruin a frozen burger patty and frozen chicken tenders, but Home Plate found a way. The burger was so bad I couldn't get past two bites, and I managed exactly two fries before giving up. They also got my order -- a simple one -- wrong. When the waitress asked how everything was, I told her honestly: awful. Her response was to remind me I'd still be paying for it, then hit me with "better luck next time." Hey, Home Plate. There won't be a next time!

How do you even let something that looks like this leave the kitchen? My granddaughters grilled cheese wasn't any better. Why would you serve a piping hot metal tray to a child. The restaurant is clean, but asking the wait staff to move so you can get to the bathroom is awkward at best. Don't think we will be back.

We enjoyed the whole meal. Everything was surprisingly good. The service was very good. P.S. The waitress we had was very nice and very honest. I left my credit card at the restaurant. She took the card and immediately turned it in and had it locked up. I noticed the card missing the next day while checking out of the hotel. I rushed back to the restaurant and retrieved the card. Service was quick and efficient because the place was nearly empty. After speaking with the waiter I ended up getting a Burrito Loco with steak and shrimp. It ended up being more expensive than I expected because the place charged separately for the proteins with a significant surcharge. The chips and salsa were average and the burrito was tasty; on par with Chipotle but not as special as I had hoped. While the burrito was generous in size, it was not exceptional in the amount of protein included. I'd say that this place is a 1/2 step above Chipotle because of its more extensive menu and variety. It's just not the bargain I expected when looking at the cost of the base items on the menu.
