My nieces and I attempted to go to this location last night after one of them got off work and was hungry and didn't want fast food. When we arrived there was a note on the door saying that the kitchen closed at 10:30 PM when their website says that they were open until 11 PM! If they have new hours then they need to update their website. I moved all the menus somewhere else because they were crowding our table and the employees said we have to keep them there as our "placemat". I live near this location. I've been their to eat a few times. Fish n Chips are hard to get right. They are very good here. I've been to a few of their other locations. In Southaven, and Olive Branch, and they are consistent. The service is good, very good draft beer choices, and a fun friendly atmosphere. I love the small town feel of this restaurant. I'm just moving to the area and have already been here twice. They have hands down the best prepared beyond burger I have ever had. It's served with vegan mayo, lettuce, tomato and cheese...I asked for no cheese. I have had it both times with a side of onion rings. They are the thick kind made from red onions. I ordered a burger (medium well) in a lettuce wrap instead of a bun, with sweet potato fries. The burger tasted great, was cooked perfectly and came with plenty of condiments! Huey's has been killing it with their curb side service this year. Their online order is hassle free and they don't have to pay a fee for the service. Hueys has always been our go to place. For years, the burgers couldn't beat. I never had a bad thing on the menu. But times and economy has had its affect at least at the Collierville place. I had the chicken stick a couple of weeks ago. It had slight burning (with the burnt taste) and very over cooked. Most people at table were complaining their burgers appeared to have shrunk. A week later went back with friend. We both ordered the chicken sticks. Too dry to eat almost. We noticed the size was a lot smaller than they use to be and maybe the reason behind overcooking. They also have a wonderful Thai Chicken Salad with peanut dressing. The onion rings incredible, if not sinful. They have a good choice of appetizers, but really, the usual pub grub, which is fitting. Service on a recent Sunday after church was great - attentive, even though it was crowded. All locations are a great, casual, Memphis institution - plan to run into friends.
