Went there to the Forney location for the first time in 2020 and the food was delicious but the place was a little "un-kept" but I ignored it because after all it is a "greasy spoon." Went there again (same location) in 2021 and I observed a rather dishoveled man preparing food reach into a pan of sausage links with his bare hands and grab cold sausages and place them on a customer's plate. We left the building! Health Department needs to be called. The place is un-clean and me and my family have never returned. Came back here hoping that perhaps there had been new management since but apparently not. read more

My biscuit was so hard to bite into or chew and seemed as thought the batter wasn't mixed all the way leaving flour clumps in the middle of it. I've only been to 3 Huddle Houses at various trucks across U.S. The latest & last was in Oklahoma. They truly need to do some extensive cleaning. Carpets are filthy, ceiling tiles missing, ripped & filthy booth tables in all 3 Huddle Houses I've been in. 1 was so nasty my skin started crawling. Disgusting & service is slow af. The food here is just as excellent as his customer service. Warm, hot and freshly made. The best Huddle House I've been to in ten states! You can come here for breakfast, lunch or dinner. 24/7. Then when I got my food, No. 1, it was all cold, and No. 2, I had ordered the Prime Rib Tips Dinner, described as "Tender, juicy, prime rib tips grilled sauteed mushrooms and onions and served with savory au jus and your choice of 2 sides and a buttery, fluffy biscuit or Texas Toast," there was no sauteed mushrooms or onions, there was no savory au jus, there was no Texas Toast. Just a bunch of prime rib tips and nothing else. Of course, when I tried to contact the restaurant two minutes after receiving my food, they were closed. We waited 45 min to get our food and when it came out the eggs tasted so bad we all had to send back and then we were told that we had to wait behind another order to get more eggs, every other part of the meal from the hashbrowns to the biscuits was awful and not edible. Looking at the previous reviews I had low expectations for the service but I was pleasantly surprised. We came at 7:30pm Saturday, fairly busy, seated quickly and food arrived faster than we thought it would. Food tasted good with no problems. The vegetable sides looked a little old but tasted ok. The size of the burger is on the small side compared to chili's or Applebee's and I believe they're the same price. Overall the food was very average. Coupons are available if you Google for them. The second time, was honestly unbelievable. I went in with 5 people. We all ordered meals and waters. Only 2 of us got our drinks. I got eggs and that was it, and they were cold and flavorless. The others only got one of what they ordered. (Say you order and breakfast platter of eggs toast and bacon. You would only get the toast) At one point our server took a break without telling us (we had no food or drinks) she came back 20 mins later. We spent 3 hours here. When we complained to the manager (which we RARELY do) he said she was new and she needs to learn. He didn't even offer a discount or anything. We spent a total of about $60 for cold, nasty food. The biscuit was disappointing- I couldn't really eat it because it had an odd taste I can't describe. It wasn't a good taste, more of a chemical taste. I asked for tabasco and they offered Texas Pete. Since most Texans consider Texas Pete to be a bland and poor substitute , it destroyed their credibility as a true breakfast place. But the worst part of my experience was when the family two tables over sent their water back. The waitress carried it off, holding it up to the light with an increasingly disgusted look on her face.
