I've heard good things about this place, but my experience was just okay. We had a reservation for Sunday brunch, but still ended up waiting ~ 40 minutes before being seated. After our 3rd attempt at getting an update on table availability, we ending up speaking with another staff member who sat us almost immediately. The original hostess was young and seemed inexperienced in coordinating for large parties (8 ppl). The delay wasn't an availability issue, but a lack of critical thinking. After being seated, our moods definitely turned up, and kudos to our waiter who was energized and had a great attitude. She was also very helpful with menu recommendations. I ordered the Pot Roast Hash - it was an extremely large portion and I love that they didn't skimp on the beef. The overall taste was decent, nothing to write home about. I think the sauce was thicker than I expected and a bit overwhelming. The table seemed to have an enjoyed their meals and everything looked delicious. Nice, spacious restaurant with vibrant and elegant decor. This is definitely one of those places that offer both aesthetic and quality food in DFW, which is hard to come by. I was surprised at how good their playlist was too. Most places play the same 20 songs so it was nice to hear a mix of different songs/genres throughout the decades. When my husband and I walked in we were asked if we made a reservation, which is nice to know that they offer, but threw me off guard because they don't have a business website (the link takes you to Facebook) & there's no mention of reservations on the page. It'd be nice to learn how to do that for future reference. Nonetheless we were told our estimated wait time was 30 minutes, which for a Saturday isn't bad & had the option to sit in their lobby area or at the bar. We chose to relax in their lobby. The chairs were comfortable but being that the waiting area is right next to the door we were freezing. My suggestion would be to have a heater or two in the sitting area during the winter months, to reduce the wind chill people feel every time someone comes in/leaves out. When it comes to the food, everything was delicious & our server Kay (now honorary cousin) was incredible from start to finish. She gave us the break down of the menu, expected wait times being that every item is made to order, and also told us more about the after hours lounge to check out for additional entertainment and enjoyment. Three things to know about this establishment is they DO NOT accept cash payments, you will wait at least an hour between check in and when your food arrives (so don't come starving) & you can't call in to make a to-go order. Blown away by the hospitality here! The staff was amazing, and it was such a nice touch to meet the husband-and-wife owners who greeted us at the door and even stopped by our table to check on the food. We had the spaghetti and catfish--something you don't see often in Texas since it's more of a Midwest (especially Chicago) tradition--and it was spot on! The food came out hot, delicious, and with portions big enough to share. We also tried the greens--personally, I thought they could've been cooked a bit longer (a little on the crunchy side)--but the cornbread and strong drinks totally made up for it. The ambiance is cute. Servers were nice. The only things I will say is that one we ordered our server only came by once to check on us. Luckily we didn't need anything. It's worth the drive! Everything about this place is fantastic. The location is large with good ventilation. The music is playing in the background is not too loud and you can actually have a nice conversation without having to scream. The service is kind and patient. Now the food is soo good. The Sangria tasted like just juice, a definite mocktail. I didn't complain and decided to order the same drink my daughter had but no luck there, it tasted totally different from hers. I had to bring this to the attention of the waitress. She informed me that the bartender changed the ingredients of my drink, very unacceptable but they made it whole by offering another drink made correctly. That was okay but still wasn't what my daughter had. I'd come back for the food but not the drinks, never know what you'll get. Ive been eyeing this place for a while and my husband and I finally tried it for our anniversary brunch. This is definitely a hidden gem, modernly decorated with really good urban vibes. It appears they sometimes have live music as there was a stage toward the back. We had reservations close to opening and it was relatively empty upon arrival. We were seated promptly and were made to feel lll VIPs , no rush and great service. I ordered the Irish coffee. Though it was advertised as cold brew it came hot. I typically only drink iced/cold coffees but this was literally one of the best coffees I've ever had so no complaints on my part. I opted for the pancakes and wings. This place was so fantastic! We don't live anywhere near Forney, so we decided to try it out on our way back to Dallas from picking up our girls from camp. The food did not match the scenery. The service was okay. We ordered orange juice, but it didn't look or taste like fresh orange juice. We had been hearing so many great things about this place and let me go ahead and say, they did not disappoint. We were sat once our entire party arrived for our girls day out gathering. Our waitress came over shortly after and took our drink orders. She then gave us a rundown of the menu and answered the many questions coming from the table.
