They were honestly really good! I also ordered the frozen margarita and it wasnt really strong in my opinion but still yummy. The only other issue was towards the end, I noticed both my cup and my husband's water cup were dirty. I could see black specks and food on both out water cups. . Second because you don't take reservations it's hard for a large party of 14 to all get there at the same exact time. We all understand you have policies but when 90% of the group was there and because of the weather, the remaining 3 people were late. When does human kindness out way policy. Almost 2 years ago, my Husband and I decided to celebrate my 55th birthday at Texas Roadhouse in Terrell. I especially love the Texas Roadhouse group shout out for birthdays. I told the hostess upon arrival, the manager that came by to check on our table, and our waiter that today was my birthday. I heard them give birthday shout outs at other tables but not mine. I suggested we eat here on 11/1/23 after learning they had not experienced eating at this restaurant anywhere. We hung out at Buc-ee's for a little bit holding down our hunger. We arrived right at the opening time of 4pm and there was already a long line. So we waited for about 7 minutes to be seated. The ambiance is lively and can get pretty loud and crowded. I got the salmon with the sweet potato loaded and caesar salad. My Aunt Abby got the catfish with veggies side. My Aunt Norma got the bone-in ribeye steak with garden salad. The rolls were soft and delicious. The Caesar Salad was cold and good. I ordered the steak kabobs with French fries. My kabobs and veggies had burnt marks on them. We have been waiting for this place to open up and as we saw this place open ground up. This place is always crowded and there is always a 60 to 90 minute wait. If you want to go, I recommend putting your place online. The good news is there is also shopping areas If it is cold outside, their waiting area outside does have heating lamps. The service was pretty good, especially because of how busy they were, fresh hot bread ( I know everyone likes the cinnamon butter, but we prefer regular) took a long time to get cocktails, but water was brought out quickly. I ordered the steak kabobs medium with rice and a salad, my husband got the big ribeye medium rare with a baked potato and salad. I wish the salad had come out earlier because I eat slow, but my husband was done with his when the meal arrived. He was asked to cut into his steak to check temp, but declined to do so. Mine was almost perfectly cooked for me, I wanted to try his ribeye but once he cut into it I noticed it was way under done, almost blue. He ate it anyway, but I never did get a chance to try it because of the cook level. He really didn't complain just said next time he may order it medium. Been here a few times and the food is usually pretty good. However service seems to be lacking a lot. Every time we have had to hunt down our servers and anytime we asked another server for assistance, they always respond that they will find our server, as if they aren't able to help us only our server. If I could have given NO star I would have. I am so upset. Our family had 6pm reservations for 18 people. We were taken to 2 tables at 6:45. The tables really seated 6 and they added chairs on the blocking the walkway. We asked for an additional table and was told these are the only 2 table they had available. Don't think I've ever had a bad experience at Texas Roadhouse and this location is no exception. Every staff member I run into is friendly and have a great attitude. The food is reliably good even as take out. I like how this location has an outside pickup area for takeout. This way you don't have to slither through the crowded inside to get your order. Can you talk about Texas Roadhouse without mentioning the rolls?? (If you know you know) I could eat the rolls everyday and not get sick of them. And the cinnamon butter? Chefs kiss. The fried pickles are one of my favorites for any restaurant. Always the perfect amount of crisp paired with tasty ranch. The salad is also one of my favorites for any restaurant. It always taste like fresh produce with eggs, cheese, cherry tomatoes, croutons and iceberg lettuce. It may not be the fanciest steakhouse but I love the steak, they always cook it exactly how I order it and ask you to cut into it before leaving the table just to be sure. My current trip the fries weren't seasoned as heavily as normal but I still love some good seasoned steak fries. This location is very busy especially on the weekends so I highly recommend joining the wait list. For two people we are normally on the wait list for 1-2 hours. Funny thing is we are often on the wait list longer than we are in the restaurant. Service is always speedy which we love but if you like to sit longer they never pressure you to hurry up.
