First my apologies to the Hostess and Manager on duty today 7/12. My behavior wasn't the best. Second because you don't take reservations it's hard for a large party of 14 to all get there at the same exact time. We all understand you have policies but when 90% of the group was there and because of the weather, the remaining 3 people were late. When does human kindness out way policy. Why do you have to be so rigid. With a party this large, money was going to be spent. The service was excellent. The food was just okay. We probably won't be returning. Almost 2 years ago, my Husband and I decided to celebrate my 55th birthday at Texas Roadhouse in Terrell. I especially love the Texas Roadhouse group shout out for birthdays. I told the hostess upon arrival, the manager that came by to check on our table, and our waiter that today was my birthday. I heard them give birthday shout outs at other tables but not mine. I am very disappointed with my experience with Texas Roadhouse today. I have been through a lot over the last year healthwise and I just wanted this day to be as close to amazing as possible. I spoke with Izzy at the front on the way out and made her aware as well. Her response was, "Im sorry. Fast forward to today, we decided to give them another try, taking my Sister for her birthday. I had to have someone wipe the seat due to it not being clean. Also provided silverware that had dried barbecue sause on it. We made the server Chris aware, and again, we heard several birthday shout outs but not for my Sister. I made the manager aware and he replied, "I'm so sorry." When we first got there the hostess told us 25-35 mins but we were seated at 15 mins. Our waitress Melanie is very attentive and sweet. She was fast with getting our order and then bringing it out. We usually always come here and have not really had any issues. Except we went on Monday and I ordered my son the "2 mini cheeseburgers" off the kid's menu. When it arrived there was only one. I asked about why the menu said 2 mini ones if we were only getting one. The lady went and checked, came back and said they changed the "formula" and now instead of getting 2 mini 3oz burgers it's only one 5oz mini burger. When I looked at the patty it was no bigger than any of the other times he had got it with the exception it was just one mini burger instead of 2. Love me some Texas Roadhouse anytime!!! My family and I were all vacationing from different parts of the US and from overseas. I suggested we eat here on 11/1/23 after learning they had not experienced eating at this restaurant anywhere. We hung out at Buc-ee's for a little bit holding down our hunger. We arrived right at the opening time of 4pm and there was already a long line. So we waited for about 7 minutes to be seated. The ambiance is lively and can get pretty loud and crowded. I got the salmon with the sweet potato loaded and caesar salad. My Aunt Abby got the catfish with veggies side. My Aunt Norma got the bone-in ribeye steak with garden salad. Aunt Norma's BF, Dom got the prime rib with veggies. side. Everyone loved their food so much we hardly spoke. Haha! We all especially loved the fresh dinner rolls with cinnamon butter. Yesterday we decided to eat at this Roadhouse to celebrate our wedding anniversary . The place was very crowded but there was no wait time and we were seated very quickly. Our server was nice. The rolls were soft and delicious. The Caesar Salad was cold and good. I ordered the steak kabobs with French fries. My kabobs and veggies had burnt marks on them. The fries were so salty I could not eat them. We did ask for dipping sauce. The honey mustard and ranch tasted strange and not good. Our drinks were never refilled. We have been waiting for this place to open up and as we saw this place open ground up. This place is always crowded and there is always a 60 to 90 minute wait. If you want to go, I recommend putting your place online. The good news is there is also shopping areas If it is cold outside, their waiting area outside does have heating lamps. The service was great, but can get crazy as if you request for something, it does take awhile like more water or bread. Texas Roadhouse in Terrell, Texas seems to be the place to be on Friday and Saturday nights. When I say everyone is trying to get in, I mean everyone. It's like the hottest place around town from what I've seen lol. It was honestly shocking to my partner and I to see that many people there. So if you're stopping by MAKE A RESERVATION (don't say I didn't warn you!) Food 6/10- it's Texas Roadhouse lol I don't have much to rave about other than my food is always fresh, which is subjective, and hot! Service 10/10- the waitstaff seem to love their jobs lol. It's a combination of high school and college age people so there is that. They definitely rally together for birthday celebrations, which seem to be the rave for most patrons. Ambience- it's Texas Roadhouse! Since COVID, I can say there aren't any peanuts on the floor anymore which was always a bit confusing. They still have them, they are just prepackaged now. Every time we have had to hunt down our servers and anytime we asked another server for assistance, they always respond that they will find our server, as if they aren't able to help us only our server. If I could have given NO star I would have. I am so upset. Our family had 6pm reservations for 18 people. We were taken to 2 tables at 6:45. The tables really seated 6 and they added chairs on the blocking the walkway. We asked for an additional table and was told these are the only 2 table they had available. As I looked across and on the side and noticed empty dirty tables I requested a manager. When I asked her name she gave me Mirah and no last name. She said she was the manager of the restaurant. She stated that we would have to squeeze in because she was unable to give us another table and that we should be able to fit. I felt totally discriminated against and told my family we will not spend this kind of money at a restaurant that has no respect or courtesy for us. We were celebrating a birthday and this ruined our whole evening. What restaurant manager would allow 18 people to leave unhappy. The service was pretty good, especially because of how busy they were, fresh hot bread ( I know everyone likes the cinnamon butter, but we prefer regular) took a long time to get cocktails, but water was brought out quickly. I ordered the steak kabobs medium with rice and a salad, my husband got the big ribeye medium rare with a baked potato and salad. I wish the salad had come out earlier because I eat slow, but my husband was done with his when the meal arrived. He was asked to cut into his steak to check temp, but declined to do so. Mine was almost perfectly cooked for me, I wanted to try his ribeye but once he cut into it I noticed it was way under done, almost blue. He ate it anyway, but I never did get a chance to try it because of the cook level. He really didn't complain just said next time he may order it medium. All in all though it was a great meal and maybe even worth the $80+ that we spent. I'd definitely recommend it, and I hope next time we go back we get the same young man as our waiter. Don't think I've ever had a bad experience at Texas Roadhouse and this location is no exception. Every staff member I run into is friendly and have a great attitude. The food is reliably good even as take out. I like how this location has an outside pickup area for takeout. This way you don't have to slither through the crowded inside to get your order. Can you talk about Texas Roadhouse without mentioning the rolls?? (If you know you know) I could eat the rolls everyday and not get sick of them. And the cinnamon butter? Chefs kiss. The fried pickles are one of my favorites for any restaurant. Always the perfect amount of crisp paired with tasty ranch. The salad is also one of my favorites for any restaurant. It always taste like fresh produce with eggs, cheese, cherry tomatoes, croutons and iceberg lettuce. It may not be the fanciest steakhouse but I love the steak, they always cook it exactly how I order it and ask you to cut into it before leaving the table just to be sure. My current trip the fries weren't seasoned as heavily as normal but I still love some good seasoned steak fries. This location is very busy especially on the weekends so I highly recommend joining the wait list. For two people we are normally on the wait list for 1-2 hours. Funny thing is we are often on the wait list longer than we are in the restaurant. Service is always speedy which we love but if you like to sit longer they never pressure you to hurry up. I must say that this particular location is lacking severely in terms of service, presentation, and overall experience. There have been SEVERAL times that my bbq chicken has been dry and not very flavorful at all due to that. When you bring it to the management's attention, they throw you off and send you an entree voucher. I DON'T want a voucher, I want it done correctly the first time.
