Horrible customer service and I even think the manager was the guy at the checkout - sad. We had to ask for someone to clean a table and he didnt have anyone do it until after 2 more orders. Kid who came out was nice bit only did 1 table - left other tables for people to have to deal with. Food was OK- we eat at various McAlister's but customer service hear was nothing like we experience at others. Also if you are wanting ti use Upside,forget it - they won't give you a receipt with last 4 of the CC number and this store doesn't take it from a registered payment CC. read more

My order was incorrect and when I called to advise of the error the manager said she made my order and it was correct. I advised that I requested to replace the beef on my Chicago French Dip with Turkey, she basically said I did not. I had to tell her to ask to the person on the register, which she did. Then at this point she said she would replace it. My word was not enough. That is bad customer service. read more

Got the New Yorker, YUM and very meaty and the Memphis sandwich. Potato salad, YUM and the tomato cucumber salad was very fresh. Took about 15min for the order to be ready, but it was lunchtime. Someone was steadily cleaning and clearing tables as customers left. Clean establishment. read more

When you want a last minute bite to eat stop here. McAlister's was a high school staple for me. I always get a Pick 2 and either a seasonal lemonade or half-and-half sweet tea. My favorite are the Caesar salads and one of the sandwiches. I have yet to get a lack luster sandwich or salad lol. The service is okay depending on the time of day. But they are always smiling to some extent. I truly think a lot of them are friends lol. Or maybe that's what they want guests to believe. 7/10 read more

Brand new McAlister's! These are pretty much the same all across the board. The only thing you're really going to get differently is how the staff acts and how clean the place is. The staff here is great and place is brand new. My only complaint about this location is that it's VERY small compared to all majority of other locations. Most, if not all locations that's I've been to are decently sized on the inside. This one, not so much. Most McAlister's are busy to begin with and when I came here around 2:30, there was no place to sit. I had to stand and wait on a table to open up. Luckily it didn't take too long, but coming to this place on a Sunday after church, good luck. I hope they can add some tables on the outside one day for a little bit more seating. I will say this as well, I've never seen a McAlisters with a drive-thru. This location does. So if it ever is busy, just hit that drive-thru. read more

Ate lunch Sunday around 12: 20 on January 21st 2024. Ate here with a group of seven. I ordered a potato and the manager was forthright to come out to tell us the potatoes might take a little longer. Nice touch! Sandwiches came out within 20 minutes of ordering. Wife's salad was not the cheap salad stuff and it was very full. Still waiting on potatoes. Manager came out and offered a salad while we wait. That's good too. By 1:00 I finally received my potato. Although everyone else's sandwiches came out in a reasonable fashion and they were gooood, but mine took so long: four stars. I'll come back but I probably won't order the potato. read more

It's a small place for the volume of people but the staff worked swiftly to clean 9ff tables for other customers. Service was quick even though they were busy. I had the New Yorker which pleasantly surprised me. I haven't had that good New York style deli sandwich in many years. McAllister's delivered! I'm still thinking about the sandwich days later. Pretty good sandwiches. I have had the New Yorker and the Cuban. They load you up with the meat. The tea is outstanding. The service is usually pretty good but sometimes a little lacking. I'm glad they put one in Terrell so I don't have to drive to Mesquite. Location is a little small but it's comfortable and convenient. Definitely recommend. Today was my third visit to the new Terrell location and like the precious visit, I was dissatisfied with the level of service I received. When me and my partner first heard there was a new Terrell location we rushed to partake on opening weekend and were very happy to discover there was a drive thru window. Our second visit was lackluster because of poor food quality, but I wanted to give them another chance to get it right because I love McAlisters food. For lunch today, I ordered online and proceeded to pick it up. Upon arrival at the drive thru window I sat for several minutes unassisted, while I watched what seemed to be the manager (wearing a different color shirt) and another coworker chatting each other up. I made eye contact with the woman I presume was the manager and she just stood there. It wasn't until I began to wave my hands frantically outside the vehicle window did she decide to help me. After I verified my name for the order, she began to project her guilt of not being attentive at all, by berating me with the same question over and over, "Did you check in at the box?". I imagine she meant the drive through speaker that wasn't present two-weeks prior on my second and pitiful visit. I told her did not see the box (there's no signage and it's very small. I believe the situation was mishandled by the attendant manager who could have informed me of the new drive- through hardware in a less aggressive way. Out of three visits, a majority of my experiences were bad. My partner and I will not be returning to this location, nor will the choice of McAlisters on our dinner list. I hope your organization, newly appointed franchisee, and manager will use this as a learning experience because our money spends just as well at other establishments. read more

First visit to McAlisters Deli in Terrell. I manage a restaurant myself and I have to say if any of my employees spoke to a customer the way this one did, I would definitely have a conversation with them. This was not towards me, our food came out okay, little light on sauce and meat but that's okay. The table next to us had complaints, but so did the man sitting with his two daughters. He ordered a sandwich a particular way with no sauce. It came out wrong and he expressed it was made wrong. An employee came to his table and very loudly in a very sarcastic manner told the man to tell her exactly what he wanted word for word so she can take it back to the kitchen. It wasn't what she said, but how she delivered it. She was very rude and belittling towards this man who probably wants to get his food and go home. It was just kind of off putting to watch. read more

I was overjoyed to find out that a McAlister's was opening its doors in Terrell. I love visiting the Mesquite, Texas location and have typically been greeted with great service and food there. After tonight's visit, which is probably my fifth since the new store opened, I am becoming disillusioned. I would think that after over a month of operation, the kinks would be worked out. The potato salad is one of my favorite items to order and I've been met with problems each time I've ordered it. On at least two occasions I've had to go back to ask for it after it was left out of my to-go order. On another occasion, I received potato salad that should have been called egg salad with the huge, uneven egg chunks that were in it. The last two times I have ordered, the staff hasn't bothered to fill up the container as I'm accustomed to at other locations. This is the same experience when I ordered the tomato cucumber salad on another visit. There was one cucumber in the container of tomatoes I received and the container was not filled. Additionally, the sandwich I ordered today had a thin streak of mayonnaise on it that was barely visible and surely could not be tasted. I really hope management, corporate, or someone is reading these reviews. I want this restaurant to be a viable option. The sea of hamburgers and chicken located nearby gets boring. This could be an outstanding little place for locals and travelers for this area. I would hate to see it open to fanfare only to close its doors in a year or two because no one is paying attention to delivering the quality of food that their customers deserve in return. I hope to visit again to update my review with the improvements that are needed at this location. read more
