We finished up some work near the airport and were ready for a late lunch and wanted to try something new. We came over to try blue norther but wandered around a bit and are so happy we found this place! We got two smash burgers and a shrimp roll. The shrimp roll was twice the size we anticipated and did not disappoint in flavor! The bread was super flavorful and perfectly toasted. The shrimp had a nice light sauce coating it but was not too heavy, very classic new england flavors. The burgers were bursting with flavor and very enjoyable, if im being very critical i would prefer a bit more burger to bun ratio but it was still really good! read more

Yum! The food was delicious minus the jalapeno poppers- very disappointing honestly as the jalapeno was cold and the inside stuff was cold as well. Had no flavor so wouldn't get those again. That being said the burger was Delicious and the quesadillas!! The staff girl taking our order was ok but needed to be a bit more friendlier honestly. Smile it'll make a huge difference! This truck was at Still Austin for our customer event last night. They provided food for the evening. First of all, I caught two names from the team here: Davis and Reese. Both were so incredibly hard working and customer helpful. The group that attended was hungry, and the meatless menu for our sustainability conference wasn't going to help matters. Sliders, BLT Tuna sliders, fried green tomatoes, fried quail legs, and blue crab quesadillas were on the menu. Every time a plate would hit the table, it would be empty in seconds. The team was churning out good food so fast. I have to admit I didn't have much time to eat due to entertainment duties but the crab quesadillas were super addictive. They should bottle up the sauces and sell them. I can help with the labels! Thank you Davis and Reese for your help and epic meal for our attendees. Finally got to check out Huckleberry at The Yard and I was definitely satisfied! The shrimp had a thin, but crispy batter that was seasoning perfectly by itself. But I also had them make it spicy which added a nice kick. It wasn't overpowering and the veggies helped cool the spice down. I only got to experience the sando, but I will definitely go here again to try something else. Definitely recommend it! read more

Great folks x delicious seafood come together at Huckleberry! I'm a frequent eater with them, and I can confirm that everything they have on the menu is a delight! All of the seafood is fresh and high quality (no tilapia here, Honey!) and perfectly cooked to delicious tenderness. My personal favorite has to be their fish sandwich which comes with your typical burger toppings, but boy does it hit the spot with that perfectly seasoned and fried crust. Yummy! As they didn't mark which order was which and they were both pretty flavorless we honestly didn't know which one was supposed to be spicy. I can only assume they didn't give us a spicy. And there was like no salt on the fish and a minimum amount of sauce. The fries were great and cooked perfectly. The coleslaw was nice. Just a huge disappointment given their website claims "The best fish sandwich you'll ever have." The boxes were really closed for taking a to go order. No napkin one ketchup each. Ordered a 2 smash burgers and I asked for mustard instead of their sauce and I got a horrible look and said they don't have mustard. Not too big of a deal but what was really upsetting was the kids meal. I ordered the fish and chips and it has two tiny little nuggets of fish. Props to Huckleberry for opening during the pandemic! Ordering was easy with minimal contact, they're posted up at Circle Brewing at this time. Here's a review of everything we tried: Gulf Coast Fish Sandwich: 5/5 A thick piece of fried fish with a lemon caper remoulade on a challah bun. The sandwich was huge, the fish inside was flaky and fresh, and the flavors melded nicely. This came with a side for $15. We chose the elote salad as the side: Elote Salad: 4/5 Being from San Antonio, I wouldn't say this is the kind of elote I'm used to. It's more like a refreshing fancy cream corn. Still tasty, but it might've tasted better being in my sandwich than eating a whole container of it on its own Fried Green Tomatoes: 5/5 WOW I love fried pickles, and tried fried green tomatos for the first time and I think I like these even better. They give a decent amount. Even though we took these to-go, they were still hot and crispy when we ate them at home and the lemon remoulade that came with it was perfect. I'd love to have a basket of this while drinking a beer at Circle next time!! At the time, they had a specialty fish sandwich. I can't remember the actual type of fish (Amberjack?) but it was seared so it was rare on the inside and came on Texas Toast. This on its own was $16, no sides. The food here is really elevated, this kind of food can be served to me at a sit-down restaurant and I wouldn't bat an eye. They really care about the quality of their ingredients, which is why I was probably surprised at the total bill for 4 people (~$80). This place would probably be more of a treat for me rather than a casual meal on a weekly basis. Can't wait to return for some more fried green tomatoes!!! read more

I have been dying for a shrimp po boy so I was so happy to find Huckleberry! The bread was "melt in your mouth" delicious and the shrimp was perfect. I was excited about the fried green tomatoes, and the serving was large, but they are sliced thin and the coating had a lot of spices. Good, just not my favorite style. My friends loved them! Is never open when me and my family go and has been closed when online it says it's open on 4 different occasions. This fish is not worth the price nor the hassle. A very clean food truck. Had the fried shrimp platter. A dozen shrimp, generous portion of cole slaw, and a humongous portion of french fries. Though I took the meal to go, there was plentiful seating and parking adjacent to the food truck. The meal was so big that there are leftovers for dinner later in the week. A real find! read more

I had the pleasure of enjoying a Thanksgiving feast prepared by Davis Turner, the chef at Huckleberry. The turkey was moist, tender and flavorful -- a rarity among Thanksgiving birds. The other dishes were equally good, but two stood out. The collard greens were the first I'd had at Thanksgiving in fifty years and were excellent. The bread pudding transported me back to my grandmother's farmhouse kitchen. What a delightful meal! So, whether you need an event catered or are looking for your seafood fix at the food truck, Davis and Reese, at Huckleberry, are highly recommended. I recently added this food truck to my -Trucks to Try-it did not disappoint. I ordered the oyster Po'Boy and Fried Green Tomatoes. My sandwich was made fresh on crusty/soft french bread(as it should), fresh lettuce, tomatoes a light "mayo" and plump fresh fried oysters. No onions for me and hot sauce was served on the side. One suggestion would be a remoulade instead of the plain mayo. The fried green tomatoes were on point, thinly sliced, fried crisp and served with a good dipping sauce--I put it on my sandwich.
