They have a conveyor belt, with unlimited options of things you could put in your hot pot. First time seeing this at a hot pot place, definitely draws people's attention. They do AYCE here and food is super fresh. They even serve hard to get, expensive seafood for no extra charge. We got the seafood platter and different varieties of beef and everything was on point. We came on a Thursday and found out that they serve Sapporo beer for free on Thursdays. Also after your meal, you have option of fruit or ice cream in case you have a sweet tooth. 6/30/2019 Me and my family visited this restaurant, it was my daughter's 10th birthday. I mentioned this to the waitress that it was her birthday. The service was ok until it was time to pay the bill. The waitress came to me with the check and ask me if my daughter has an ID or passport!! I chuckled a little it because what 10 years old would have a ID or why would I carry her passport around! So I kindly replied no I don't if there is an issue please charge her full price On the check, I understand she has rules to follow... she then asked me if I have any pictures from last year to show her and to make sure it is her birthday. So at this point I was annoyed and told her "listen Lady please just charge her it's ok." She still insisted a government document of some kind so my husband said I have a picture of her birth certificate in my phone look would this help? She took a look and said "hmm where is the date of birth? Where is her name ect..." I'm super annoyed and just told her charge her now and I no longer want to go back and forth with this!!! The waitress smile and said awwwweeee ok don't worry I will take her off the bill anyway, but you have to pay cash only! So we paid in cash and she say thank you and I thought that was it. After 2 minutes she comes back and demand more tip! She said I only gave her 12% of the suggested tip! It needs to be 15% at least!!! At first I was embarrassed so I said ohhh I'm sorry and I gave her another $10 on top of what I already gave her the first time. The seafood for the regular priced buffet is so fresh. I was skeptical about the crabs and shrimp, but the shrimps are so fresh. The crabs all had the eggs which are so tasty! Also, the pork internal organs and chicken offals are so fresh too! And fatty lamb and fatty beef is included in the buffet price and do fresh too! Came here at 1pm. When I entered, I was the only one there for lunch. I was seated at the table for the communal pot. They have the $19.99 normal and the $39.95 seafood option. I went for the normal option. Even though the price is cheap, the choices are limited. Compared to Lan Ting and iCook, they have a much bigger selection and a few dollars more. The conveyer belt is used for dinner only and instead of a big selection of sauces. I only see ten sauces. While eating, they also serve milk tea, which I haven't drank for a while. At the end, they served us fruits and some fruit juice which is diluted with lots of water, pretty tasteless. Service was a bit slow. In summary, the food is just mediocre, nothing more to say. They have a promotion, free for the person if it is your birthday today. If your birthday was within the 3 day period when you eat here then, bring a cake and that person is free. We had 2 birthday colleagues but we need 2 cakes if we want 2 freebies. No one eats 2 separate cakes on the same day on the same table, same time... We reserved a room for 11, the dining table is very spacious. Next to that we have the karaoke with sofas, so the room is huge. It was wonderful! The interior design looks pretty good, I'm very satisfied. They also have the latest/updated kpop songs and a lot more in other languages which is easy to find. The mic seems defected, I wish they fix that. 2 hour time limit, additional charge for extra time. 2 hours is not enough for both food and karaoke. On Christmas Eve, I called at 6:51pm to make sure they were open and to ask what time they were closing but the lady on the phone assumed I was ready to put my name down for a table and asked how many people. I told her 3 and asked is there space for 7:30 she confirmed and okayed me and asked for my last name and my phone number. I promptly gave it to her. We arrive at the restaurant exactly at 7:12pm (I remembered because I checked my phone when I arrived making sure we have a 15min window). At arrival, there was a crowd in front of the hostess/cashier section. I make my way to the front and even waited until the woman was done dealing with other customers before asking about my reservation. There were two women there, one in charge of the cash register and one picking up the phone. Both speaking to the waiting customers and facilitating the waitlist. I told her I called earlier for 3 people at 7:30. Told her my name and phone number. Both of the women tried searching for my name and could not find it. I can tell they think I might be lying about calling earlier because they can't find it. One of them decided they just can't find me and goes to put my name at the end of the list (number 21). Then she flips the paper over and I see my name and number for 3 people. So I tell her, that's me. She thinks I'm lying so I show her my phone number on my phone to confirm it's me. Apparently, I'm number 11. It looked like it would be me soon. My two friends who were with me kept asking me what's going on. One of them told me they had a bad feeling about this place and that the sauce station looked disgusting. She thought the service was horrible already. It was now 7:34. These two ladies had no regard for people's time. They kept putting names down and kept trying to bargain with people about seating. I don't understand this type of service of trying to get everyone's business when you clearly do not have the space to accommodate. Anyways, back to the wait. The front is super crowded at this point as people are filing in for dinner time. Listen, it isn't uncommon to have a reservation and still have to wait. Some of them have already been waiting 40 mins+. I also understand that it's seating based on group sizes, so even though you may arrive early, doesn't mean you get seated first because of table arrangements. Anyways, I didn't want to bother asking again and again when my table would be ready because I've already pointed it out to them, standing in the front and I think I've made quite an impression since they basically "lost" my reservation at the beginning. We are looking at the menu as we wait since there really isn't much to do. This restaurant serves two options, a regular hotpot for $19.99 (which includes meats, vegetables, and a limited seafood options such as fishballs, shrimp etc) and a seafood hotpot for $36.99 (which I guess serves all the fresh seafoods/shellfishes etc). Also some dishes come on a conveyor belt while you order others directly with the waiter/waitress. We had our minds set to get the regular hotpot because 2/3 of us cannot eat shellfish (skin allergy, and allergic in general) Finally at around 8:10pm, the woman in charge of the cash register and the computer/tablet ordering system thingy tells me I'm next and wanted to know what soup base we would like so they can clean the table and get the soup ready. So we tell her that we want 2 pork bone and 1 herbal soup base. Then she asks what seafood would we like. WE. ARE. CONFUSED. My friend immediately says, "No, we want the regular hotpot". The woman then says "Today no regular. Only seafood. It's a holiday". WE ARE HUNGRY AND WE ARE FUMING. No where did it indicate that today was only SEAFOOD. I feel like this should be the first disclaimer they give. They had so many chances to tell me that today was only seafood. They could've told me over the phone when I called, told when I first arrived, clarified when I asked about the wait etc. ANY OF THESE TIMES WOULD'VE BEEN GREAT. So I tell her "What do you mean? Why didn't you tell us earlier? We waited almost an hour..." And this woman looks at us with the most condescending facial expression and just says "sorry". We left WOW, I understand exactly how this restaurant got like 3 stars on Yelp. This is bullshit service. Don't waste our time. Never mess with people who are hungry. There wasn't too much variety on the belt and I feel like they could've had more dessert options. Drinks are also not included. Hotpot is usually do-it-yourself, so it is not like someone cooked for us; they brought food which wasn't on the conveyor belt, such as veggies, crab meat, etc. They've got tables of a single-sharing pot, or tables with individual pots per customer. Whichever you prefer, you can let the people know as some people may want a certain soup base. Decor on the outside is currently Halloween-themed. Great for people who like taking pictures. What was the problem then? I was attracted by their conveyor belt concept which is both new and fresh. The problem lies in the lack of sneeze guard. As you will notice at any Japanese conveyor belt, all sushi is covered by a plastic cover. Just thinking about how long some of the ingredients have been spinning around other people grossed me out. The selection of ingredients was okay on the menu but half the menu wasn't available yet. Beverages: 7 - The drink selection was okay. It had a good variety of hot pot drinks like herbal tea. Sauces: 7 - The sauce station variety was decent. The soy sauce however was low and nobody refilled it. Service: 6 - Considering the amount of people working and the amount of customers, the service was just so so. While the staff were all very polite, they had to be asked twice to refill drinks and soup. They never actually filled the soup up in the pot properly so the shallow pot kept having to be refilled. Comments: I'd give this place some time to settle in before trying it. Cool hotpot place. Server was nice when we sat down and introduced how the buffet conveyor works. We ordered our soup base pork bone and spicy combination pot. Very poor management, was seated for a table of 4 when we had 5. Told the girl I do not want to keep getting up. She told me the table for 6 is not open yet and just left us there. Another guy came over to ask us if we wanted to change when a table opened up, I told him okay. When we were moved to another table, it was again for a table of 4 but all the way inside in a hall that they kept it closed until more customers come in. So for the whole time, this problem could have been avoided if they let us sit there in the first place. They did not apologize after all the trouble.
