We were familiar with Taco Mac from Atlanta so we had high hopes for this particular spot. We were not disappointed! We were promptly seated. The inside of the restaurant was industrial with a lot of TV screens and very bright lighting (too bright). Our waitress was friendly and informative about the menu. We ordered Philly cheesesteak egg rolls and wings. The egg rolls were amazing! The steak and cheese were tasty and the "roll" blended with the ingredients to make a tasty appetizer. My son loved the wings- they were meaty which is always a good thing. We had a great quick dinner at Taco Mac. We will be back next time we are in Pelham. Thanks, Taco Mac!!

Joe the karaoke DJ is SO great, and he can make basically anyone feel like a star. They also frequently have good acoustic music or full bands if you're in the mood to rock out. Like everyone else that has reviewed so far, I'm definitely not a fan of all the smoke, but they do have outdoor seating if you need some air. Go check them out!!

Because of the intense Alabama heat, we chose to sit inside, though they have a really nice screened-in patio available. The restaurant is intimate but well laid out, featuring a couple of distinct dining areas and a bar. Since it was our first time, our server, Daniella, recommended the candied bacon bombs to start. They came with a side of cheese curds, and both were absolutely delicious. Even as small as the curds were, they had a perfect cheese pull! For our mains, I ordered the cowboy burger with an added egg and a side of sweet potato fries, while my son chose the shrimp and grits. My burger was incredible, a solid 9.5 out of 10. My son rated his shrimp and grits a 7, though he has a lot of experience with that dish to compare it to. Daniella provided fantastic service, checking in at just the right times without hovering. I later realized I forgot to ask if they do anything special for birthdays, but honestly, my son was probably glad I forgot! Overall, it was a great meal, excellent service, and a very cool environment.

Overall this place was a 10/10. Lively with great staff really makes this place a gem. I will definitely be back.

It looked like only two waitresses were working, so it took a while for our order to be taken. We also did not realize we had to order at the bar. The food came out very quickly once we ordered. Surprisingly and happily quick. We had the burger and the buffalo chicken sandwich. The fries that came with the burger were actually really good. Very well-seasoned. The food overall was decent. The restaurant has a casual, no-frills vibe. It feels more like a neighborhood bar than a full restaurant. There are TVs playing sports. If you are looking for something relaxed and familiar, this place gives off that laid-back, down the street feel. A spot to grab something decent, enjoy some music, and head back home.

We chose to sit on the patio since the Alabama heat has FINALLY settled down a smidge. The patio was spacious with plenty of tables as well as couches. There are several televisions positioned around the patio, so no matter where you sit, you can still catch the game. While it is definitely a sports restaurant, it also felt very family friendly. There were even a couple of young girls recording a TikTok on the patio, which brought a smile to my face. Our server was McKenna. She was pleasant throughout our visit, and it was obvious that she was making an effort to provide good service. She took our drink orders promptly, and our food came out fairly quickly. I ordered the Ahi Tuna salad and was pleasantly surprised by the size. It was not only plentiful, but beautiful and delicious! My son's food must have been delicious because he finished it in record time. His significant other did not have quite the same experience. She ordered her burger without lettuce, tomato, or mayonnaise, but it arrived with all three. Her fries, which she had been looking forward to, were also very hard. She ended up taking her burger apart to remove the toppings and left nearly all of the fries untouched after trying one. In McKenna's defense, it was a bit loud on the patio, so it is certainly possible she did not hear the request to leave the lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise off the burger. Toward the end of our meal, my remaining salad had been boxed to go and it was clear we were finished. After waiting about 15 minutes, we eventually had to ask for our check. When McKenna brought it, she explained that she had accidentally mixed up our check with the table behind us, who had already left. She was apologetic and explained that their ticket, which she handed to us, was lower than ours and hoped we did not mind. We certainly did not mind paying less, but I did feel bad knowing the other table had apparently paid about $10 more than they should have. As we were leaving, I also noticed quite a few napkins, dishes, and other items scattered around the patio. More frequent attention to clearing and tidying the outdoor area would make an already nice patio space even more enjoyable. Overall, it was an okay first experience, and I would definitely give Walk On's another try because there were several things on the menu that caught my attention. McKenna was kind and pleasant, and I do not want the mistakes during our visit to overshadow that. However, between the incorrect food order, the delay with the check, and the ticket mix up, I do think some additional training and attention to detail would be beneficial. And that Ahi Tuna salad? I'd order it again in a heartbeat!

The first time we waited around 15 minutes at a table before anyone acknowledged us, and the second time was basically the same experience sitting at the bar. Friendly service definitely wasn't the strong point here either. That said, the food honestly saved this review from being much lower. The wings had a fantastic sauce with great flavor, the fried pickles were crispy and addictive, and the fried green tomatoes were genuinely delicious with a really solid batter. Even the beers were ice cold and crisp, which fit the vibe perfectly. The biggest issue is that the pricing feels a little high for the overall experience and environment. If you're charging those kinds of prices, the cleanliness and service really need to match it better. If you're coming strictly for fried bar food and cold beer, you'll probably enjoy it. Just don't expect attentive service or a polished atmosphere.
