I was invited here by friends to see a band Todd Simpson). You walk in and the first thing you think is sports bar. Several tv's and a protection tv above the stage. Great for football season. If you like pool their are plenty of tables. They have a large stage for bands. Also they have karaoke a couple nights a week. Its nice that the place is large so you don't feel cramped. Bar and server service was great. We didn't eat so I can't comment on the food. Again its a sports bar so typical bar food. Only negative is they allow smoking. Cool bar and crowd and it's located on the Pelham . Hoover line. Not much to choose from in that area.

    This place is awesome!!!

Passing through town, my wife and I decided to stop at Jefferson's for a casual bite. I'd been once…read moreyears ago but couldn't remember much about it--so this felt like a fresh first impression. Service was warm and attentive, though with only a couple of other tables occupied, I would expect nothing less. My first drink, a flat Dr. Pepper, was quickly swapped out for sweet tea, which was far more satisfying. We started with the fried mushrooms, and honestly--they stole the show. Perfectly crisp on the outside, tender and juicy inside, and seasoned just right. We devoured every single one, which might explain why we struggled to finish our entrées. As for the mains, the roasted corn was cooked well but lacked seasoning, and the coleslaw was forgettable. My chopped steak had a nice mix of peppers and onions but arrived without the gravy promised on the menu, leaving it on the dry side. To top it off, when I asked for A1, it came in a tiny ramekin... with an extra charge. In the end, Jefferson's wasn't a disaster, but it wasn't memorable either--except for those fried mushrooms. If I ever return, it'll be for them and them alone.

A server finally brought a menu and asked if I wanted an appetizer. I asked if I needed to sit at a table, and she said no. Bartender appeared. Brought me a menu and took my beer order. Ordered five wings and fries. Wings were great; fries were cold. Beer was almost empty. Rather than asking if I wanted another one, bartender just brought the check. It wasn't even 4 p.m., and the posted hours on the door said they were open until 10. I took that as an indication that I was no longer welcome, paid and left. I won't be back.

Bar was nice with 4 large TV's and nice beer and liquor selection. We opted to do the $15 flight. You get 4-1oz pours of select whiskeys. The bowman port barrel was my favorite (smooth and with good taste). The least favorite was knob creek 12 year. Was not near as smooth for a 12 year whiskey (surprised). It will out some hair on your chest! Pretzels were my favorite appetizer. It was hot and salty! Pretzels were served with beer cheese in a cast iron dish (love). The pretzels were soft and buttery. No complaints. I will knock them for this dip trio though. That salsa tasted canned from the store and not a fan of the buffalo chicken dip. Queso dip and tortilla chips were great though! Service was excellent!

After being seated in the bar area, we were informed by our server that only appetizers were available. This was both confusing and disappointing, as it does not align with reasonable expectations for a restaurant still open for regular business. If the kitchen is no longer able or willing to prepare full menu items well before closing, that policy should be clearly communicated--either through adjusted hours or by informing guests upon arrival. Otherwise, it creates the impression of inconsistent operations or a lack of coordination between management and staff. Situations like this suggest a need for clearer operational standards, better communication, and stronger staff alignment with customer service expectations. Guests should not feel discouraged from dining simply because they arrive within what should be standard service hours. Overall, the experience reflects an opportunity for improvement in both management practices and customer hospitality.
