Picked up my order. Cowgirl and Tots. Wow! The burgers here are "off the charts" good.

In the mood for a good burger, so I decided to place a to go order here. It had been probably a few years since I had been here. The parking can be challenging, but they will be moving closer to the Walmart supercenter in Hoover on 150 sometime in the summer My son ordered the buccaneer burger and I ordered the classic. Both were just 1 patty. I did ask for ranches on the side with my tater tots, but did not receive them. The burgers definitely have a homemade taste to them. They definitely give you a generous amount of tater tots. Once I place the order, it was ready in about 15 minutes. The cashier brought it around to me which I thought was sweet. I like how it's decorated inside and it's not too bright in there. I will definitely be back to try a different burger. read more

What drew me back over and over again are their tator tots lol. Their burgers are really good as well, but I love being able to order a big basket of tots while I am out and about and then just munch on them like a snack. Employees are always nice. I often get the food to go actually and they do a good job of packing their to-go orders. I am sad they are moving soon as I love the current proximity to my home, ha. read more

Ordered the foxtrot burger, with tater tots and fries. Yum! The burger was cheesy and delicious, the tots and fries were crispy and fresh! We enjoyed it! Looking forward to trying other items on the menu, especially the Elvis, that has peanut butter on it! read more

We've found the best fries in bham! Whisky Foxtrot has perfectly thin, crispy fries on the outside with just enough pillowy potato texture on the inside. Think McDonald's fries but homemade and all around better. I absolutely loved the "Elvis" burger which has cheddar cheese, peanut butter and grape jelly. This sounds insane but all the flavors worked so well together. I opted for one patty instead of two but definitely could've gotten two because they're so thin - just how I like them! David got the Foxtrot burger which has two patties, cheese caramelized onions, pickle and Foxtrot sauce and he deemed it our new go to burger place. You order at the counter and then grab a table and wait for your food to be brought to you. Service was friendly and you could tell they wanted everyone to be pleased. Parking was no issue - huge adjacent lot. We will be back (a lot)! read more

My Dad had to have a burger from the place my Mom kept raving about me taking her to when they stopped by for a brief visit. Naturally... I took him. He ordered The Triple Lindy with fries and I ordered the Texan with tots. Can't forget the foxtrot sauce for our sides. He enjoyed his visit and said he'd return. Service was top notch, per usual. Food was made fresh to order. read more

This was a great burger joint! Food did not take long to get out to us. The macaroni and cheese was great. I also loved the fries! I got the Foxtrot Burger and I'm still thinking about it! I definitely recommend if you are in the area! read more

Made our first visit here tonight with friends and we were very pleased with the food and hospitality. The prices are reasonable. My wife had the Classic burger and I went with a Chili Ray Cyrus hotdog. We shared a basket of fries. The burger got high reviews and my hotdog was really good. I had to eat it with a fork. The thin cut fries are really good and more than enough for sharing. I couldn't stop eating them. Fun local place that is recommended. read more

You know those days you have a burger craving !! Last Thursday I got one and found Whiskey foxtrot for my first time. Well shout were deserved bc these burgers are the Juiciest ever !! I had a Texan bc I like my jalapeños so it had a little bite back. The tater tots are excellent bc of the house seasoning you just cannot stop eating those little pieces of potato. And finally a burger with an iced and I mean "iced cold" IPA beer !! Two thumbs for me until next time. Peace and Love. read more

Wife had the Texan, it had jalapeños and bacon . Very good burger not too greasy, patty was seasoned well but the kicker was the chipotle sauce. Would recommend. The patty melt was fabulous. The onions and meat meshed well together. Great patty melt that was dripping grease. The tots were great but please add more sauce the queso was good but the sauce was amazing. Every bite should have sauce on it. Fries were well seasoned and crispy. Satisfied with my meal and would def come back, love the ambiance. read more

Best burgers in town. Love it!!! The tater tots are amazing. Great burger options for toppings.

Never have had a bad meal or disappointing service until tonight. Probably have eaten at Whiskey Foxtrot 20 times in old location and one here before tonight. Maybe they just had an off night. read more

I came here for lunch on a Saturday, after getting a pedicure. The service was a little slow at the order counter. Myself and others waited roughly 5 min or so before anyone came from the back to assist. I had the Gotti hotdog and tots. This was my first time having a hotdog here. It's a beef hotdog , pastrami, caramelized onions , spicy mustard on a sweet roll type bun. Kinda messy to eat and way tooo much spicy mustard. Overall, I enjoyed and would order this hotdog again. The tots were delicious and plentiful! I'm so glad I ran across a yelp review that prompted me to come here , since I hadn't visited here in a while. Whiskey Foxtrot is a casual dining restaurant where you can grab a quick bite, beer or even ice cream. Or ALL 3 of you like!!! read more

Great burger, and fries, great, dipping sauces, and great people. What more can I want in a burger place? One of my favorites is the fat Elvis. It's a big messy burger and it's more food than I can eat in one sitting, but it is delicious and impressive and just writing about it now makes me want to go there for lunch today! read more

Best burgers ever. Don't have to wait long at all for food or ordering. Such a great place to bring anyone especially if you have out of town visitors!! read more

This is my teenage son's favorite burger spot in the city. He gets the Foxtrot Burger with extra caramelized onions every time! He says the meat is seasoned well. As a non-beef eater, I always opt for a side of tots, which is definitely shareable. The tater tots are always hot and fresh and they have a touch of seasoning on them too. The staff is always friendly during our visits for takeout or dine-in. There's never a big crowd when we're there, but I don't know if people don't know about this spot, but it's definitely hidden gym for burger lovers. They also do trivia on Tuesdays or Wednesdays, which is always fun. read more

Great burgers. Service is fine, this is fast food. The ambiance is cool. They have games to play and that counts. The ice cream is an added treat. read more

Best burger joint in Hoover. Burger was great and fries were delicious as well. Recommend getting the horseradish aioli with it on the side.

Exactly as their name implies- this is a burger Dive. They accomplish their task very well! It feels retro with not many tables, various old posters, 2 TVs and some wooden bench seating. Our favorite Cajun restaurant used to be here in a strip mall not far off Interstate 459, south of Birmingham. Order at register and waiter delivers burger or hot dogs to your table. Here is where Whiskey Foxtrot knocks it out of the park. One of best burgers and hand cut fries I've ever had. And I bet I've had a lot of burgers in my 70+ years of living in the South! We had the Classics: Two Wagyu beef patties grilled to perfection topped with chopped onions, plenty of pickles& crispy bacon. Flavor was super!! Hubby agreed that the flavor of the burgers and the fries was over the top! A huge serving of fresh, thin, hand cut fries were excellent but the tater tots and macaroni looked delish also. Took home a little of my burger and taste was actually fantastic the second day. The experience was nostalgic and so satisfying---burger not huge but that special gourmet beef takes care of your hunger, and price is half what it would be in most places that carry Wagyu beef! You must try it! read more

Stopped for a burger passing through to Texas. Burger and fries were really good especially with the foxtrot sauce.

It's a smaller place inside a strip mall that is easy to miss, but you'll want to find this one. Cool decor and a fun burger menu. We each had a different burger and they were all delicious. We also shared loaded tots and sweet potato fries (waffle cut). And my husband and son also shared a chili dog. Beverages are self serve. I'd definitely go back and try other burger options. The service was friendly and fast. Check it out! read more

I really enjoyed our impromptu stop here! The inside is awkwardly shaped so it might be hard to have a big group but it was perfect for us three. It's burgers and dogs. No big fuss. They were super delicious!!! I loved the Mac and cheese. It had queso in it so my toddler was questionable but it's definitely worth trying. Price was on point with what we got and service was very fast. The menu overwhelmed me at first because it is quirky but they were patient and gave great recs. We will definitely be back! read more

I ordered the foxtrot with foxtrot sauce on the side. No foxtrot sauce evident. Burger was juicy and tasty. The fries were seasoned well. The sweet tea is meh. Service- just ok. No attention was afforded after my food was delivered. The table next to me received far more attention and was offered a variety of sauces?! Ambiance- Set up like a 1980's basement. Value- For $20 burger and fries- over priced. read more

Passing thru Birmingham and craved a burger. Used the Google machine and ended up here. So happy I did! From the moment I walked in, I was put at ease with killer rock show posters on the walls and The Hold Steady blaring from the house p.a. The food (Patriot Burger, no bacon) was exceptional: Good meat, good sear, properly melted cheese, and habanero jam. The jalapeños also added necessary texture variation and heat. The fries could have used 30 seconds more in the fryer, but they were still pretty great. Again, this is the only burger I have ever eaten in Birmingham, but it was so good, I am declaring it the BEST BURGER IN BIRMINGHAM! read more

This is a nice little burger spot. Braxton took our order. He is the sweetest and friendliest person. He helped us make our burger selections and shared his favorite with us ( it has PB&J on it). We chose the classics with bacon. I got fries and my friend got tots. Great seasoning. The fries are hand cut there and cooked just right. The portion of fires and tots was huge! TV screens are up for catching the latest in sports, and there's a small bar in the back. This place is cool for catching a meal while watching the game or if you need a little casual date night. I will be sure to visit them next time I'm in town. And thanks again to Braxton. read more

Really liked this place. The ambiance is quite unique. Feels like you are not in Birmingham, maybe Nashville. Service is not much to comment about. You order at the counter and they bring to the table. Simple. The food was great! Nice burgers; gluten-free bun option; nice fries. What else do you need?? Location is a bit off-end, but that is actually great since it serves an area that otherwise has not so many options. read more

Whiskey Foxtrot Burger Dive - Kids eat for free on Wednesday nights - Burgers Near Me - Hoover, Alabama

Whiskey Foxtrot Burger in Hoover, Alabama, is the kind of place that doesn't try too hard--and it doesn't have to. The vibe is pure old-school burger dive, stripped down to the essentials, and it nails it. I went for The Cowgirl: two American Wagyu patties, bacon, white American cheese, and a horseradish aioli that adds just the right kick. It's a straightforward burger, but one that delivers exactly what you want--nothing more, nothing less. And then there were the tater tots. Crisp on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, and somehow, they stayed hot until the very last bite. Simple, unpretentious, and exactly what you need from a place like this. Whiskey Foxtrot isn't here to impress with frills--it's here to remind you why you love a good burger joint in the first place. read more

If I had to pick one food to eat every meal my entire life it would be a burger so I know my burgers. Went yesterday with a group for my birthday and I have to say they nailed it in every way. The burger was absolutely moist and flavorful. No need to add any condiments which never happens. It was huge so I could not eat the whole burger but I tried hard not wanting any of it to go to waste. Tater tots were very crispy with a dipping sauce to die for and sweet potato fries crispy with a good flavor. I can't wait to go back read more

If you are looking for a great burger, this is your place. They have so many out of the ordinary choices to choose from, I always just get the regular lol. If you or have a party of 3 you really only need one order of fries, they are very generous with them, and they are good!!!! And if you are like me, eat here after a hard days work, they do have a full bar in the back... for those needed relaxing drinks lol. The staff here are always very nice and are eager to help you. The price is a bit high, but I guess if you serve an awesome burger the people will come. All in all this is our staple if we are in the mood for burgers :) If you don't try it, you will be missing out on possibly one of the better burger joints in Hoover read more

The place is a little bit dark, and has a definite 1990s atmosphere. We were here for lunch and they really loved our burgers and the fries are amazing. Oddly, my wife and the hostess were the only two females in the store the entire time we were here. A large number of gentlemen in their 40s, most apparently service workers, came in for lunch. It looked like a lot of these are regulars. I would certainly come again, and my wife was not uncomfortable at all, it was just noticeable that all of the customers were guys. read more
