Stopped in to get a quick bite and left out with a full stomach with a big smile. I walked into a clean establishment with friendly workers ready to take my order. I ordered a double cheese burger with a large with a lot of toppings on top of the burger. One of the cool things I saw with the community art board filled with other crayon masterpieces. Came here for lunch. Nice location near Ashley Macs. Plenty of parking. A few covered tables outside to sit which was nice since we had the dog. I got a double with cheese which is really a lot of burger. I enjoyed it and saved the other half for lunch the next day. Fries were hot. Not my favorite kind of fries. Probably would just skip these next time. We threw most of them away. I like that they had the coke machine so you have lots of variety. Overall, a good lunch. Just pricey. It was a burger type of night plus I was excited to try this restaurant. Walked in, nice crowd and ordering was a breeze. Everyone was pleasant that I encountered. Based on other reviews, I knew what I wanted to order, the Little Cheeseburger and Little Fries. Portion sizes are generous. The fires are placed in the container but a few more are added. I didn't mind because the were good and hot. Glad I only had a snack for lunch or I would have tried to save half of my burger. Nice cooked patty, the bun had a hint of sweetness, and toppings were fresh (ALL THE WAY, grilled onions and mushrooms, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, mayo, mustard and ketchup. Ok, this review might be a little biased because I love 5 guys. That being said there's no reason why you shouldn't go to this one and have a delicious burger and a ridiculous amount of fries. Plenty of parking, delicious burgers cooked to order, absurd portions of fries, clean restaurant and one of those Coke machines that lets you pick from 400 million flavors or soda. Every once in awhile I think to myself, why haven't I been to Five Guys. I go in and get familiar with the menu board again. Burgers are priced individually (no sides) and fries cost extra here. They aren't known for being the cheapest by any stretch, but they allow you to customize your burger to your liking and they also prepare the food correctly - two huge pluses to me. Once you place your order you can grab a disposable dish and get some peanuts to tide you over until your meal is ready. Food comes out fresh - cooked to order - so that's really good as well. Burger was tasty and just as I ordered. It actually tasted really good too! The Jr Bacon with a single 1/4 pound patty with lettuce, onion and bell pepper. Fries were seasoned really well too. Place was virtually empty and it was after the lunch rush, so it looked like they had done a good job of cleaning up around the place. Tables and trash were all picked up and taken care of (other reviews indicated that they were dirty). So, my overall review score has huge deductions based on price. A Jr burger with fries and a small drink - almost $15. These five guys, in my opinion are probably at the top of the fast food chain business, but in no way shape or form do they serve a burger that is worthy of the price point. If you get a regular burger (2 patties) price for the burger alone is almost $10 - that almost qualifies for some of the nicest sit down restaurants burgers you can find in the area. And, for the record, there weren't 5 Guys - there were only 2 (not that it matters but just an observation). If the burgers/fry combo was in the $9 - $10 range they would be spot on with their pricing and probably be way busier (I'd go more often for sure). read more

The burgers at Five Guys are legit. I ordered the small burger and it was plenty for me. The small burger has one patty and the regular burger has two. You can customize how you want your burger topped and dressed. I get mine "all the way" and added jalapeños today. The burger was a messy handful, and I loved that. Wowzers! The jalapeños slices were spicy! My first bite into one got my attention and an uncontrollable hiccup. I have to admit that I removed the majority of the peppers but still enjoyed the kick. I ordered the small Cajun fries, and it is a huge serving. The fries were hot and a tad greasy. The seasoning is salty and spicy. Yum! I did have one complaint. I was there around 11:00 AM. I went to use the restroom, and I slipped and almost busted my butt. I didn't realize that they had just mopped because there were no warning signs of wet floors. You don't have to try to scarcely place the bacon throughout the burger for each bite. The fries are delicious. I don't eat fries often at all, but I always make an exception at five guys. Haven't been to Five Guys in a long time and I forget how great their food is. The location of this is just out of the busy area so it seems quieter but still not far to drive. The only reason for the 4 stars is because the prices are insane. I used to be able to pay $6 for a regular size cheeseburger from Five Guys in Mobile, but paid $9 today. I was pretty disappointed, to be honest. I was craving a good burger, and Baha is closed on Mondays so I went next door to Five Guys. It was just me, and I was there around 3 or 3:30 so it wasn't crowded. No line, which was nice, and no wait which was nicer. I double checked to make sure I only ordered one burger, and that it was a single and not a double or triple, but no, my order was correct: A single cheeseburger, small fries, and soda. Holy cow! and come to think of it, for over seventeen bucks, this burger darn well better come from a holy cow! It didn't taste like a seventeen dollar burger. The fries were certainly plentiful but I'd rather have quality over quantity. They were piping hot, so I assume they were cooked to order, but they were a tad greasy. Well, more than a tad. I ate maybe a quarter of them, partly because there were just so many of them, and partly because they were just so-so, kinda greasy fries. The burger was a good sized burger, I saw how big it was and thought, well, I guess it's an eight or ten dollar burger. (figure $2.50 for the drink and that still made the fries a total rip off in my opinion). Then I took a bite of the burger and decided it wasn't an eight or ten dollar burger after all. Don't get me wrong, it's way better than McDonald's or Burger King, but like the fries, it had a greasy taste to it. I was wishing I'd craved a burger on a Tuesday when Baha was open. Everytime I'm in Huntsville, an old friend and I always like to catchup with a nice bike ride. We ride from south huntsville through a very hilly route and then arrive at five guys. We build a giant appetite by the time we get there. We get one order of large fries and 2 burgers and lounge outside for hours. As I'm sure most of you guys know, five guys is known for their delicious and gigantic portion of fries. They literally dump a big cup of fries into your bag and then fill another cup to place into your bag. I've been to this location many times now and have never had a single problem. Food always comes out hot, accurate, and delicious. Service is always between alright and good. I love the free peanuts also! Lastly, they have the Coca Cola free style machines a while. My wife and I go here often. She likes the hotdogs and the burgers but I just stick to the burgers. I get the small cheese burger (because even that is pretty big) and I get it all the way baby! I think the highlight of Five Guys is the fries. I always get the cajun seasoned fries (little is plenty for one, regular is plenty for two, and large is enough for thee). Snack on some peanuts while you wait for your food to be fixed. Call ahead while you are on your way there if you are getting it to go. There wasn't a box of peanuts available like they previously had. There weren't markers on the floor but everyone was careful about social distancing. I love a good burger. Not just any burger, a good one. Five guys makes a good burger. A good custom burger - your way, always. They have a plethora of condiments including the standard mustard, mayo, catsup (ketchup). But I love that I can get my personal favorite, mustard, extra pickles and A-1. If you're looking for a "budget menu" burger, you need to go elsewhere. These burgers are a little more expensive, but I think they are worth the money. The small fries are actually gargantuan, so unless you have a monster appetite or are carb-loading for a marathon, a small will usually feed two people or one teenage boy (maybe). Also, order online using the app and save some time. Oh, and enjoy some peanuts while youu wait. That is unless you're like me and have a peanut allergy. This is my first experience with Five Guys here in Birmingham. Also, I had never had it delivered either. When I called the young lady who took my order, she spoke with clarity and had a smile in her voice. She repeated the order back to me to make sure it was correct. Great customer service. When the food got to the hotel, it was hot, the meat was perfectly cooked and had my accoutrements perfectly placed on the burger so it didn't fall apart while eating it. I always get the "Little" cheeseburger and fries. When I'm finished.... I'M FULL!!! The little cheeseburger is not little, there are enough fries for three people. First timer. Would've been 5 star if the patty had been seasoned. It needed salt or seasoning salt. Reminded me of a perfect home made burger. I like the free toppings. I don't get what all the hype is about this place. The prices are a bit high, at $7.19 for a hamburger I expect it to be grass-fed or at least include fries. The only good thing is that all the toppings are "free". Nothing groundbreaking here, the burgers taste exactly as if I were to buy ground beef at my local Publix and make them in my fry-pan at home; they aren't grilled, no signature flavor to their beef; homemade burgers on the charcoal grill taste better. The fries had good spices, but mine were soggy. I ordered a 'little' fry that cost just under $4.00. Although pricey, you do get a lot of fries. A little size is definitely enough to share between two people - unless they were trying to get rid of an old batch and gave us extra, hence the sogginess. The cashier was like a robot, not friendly at all. Also they don't serve milkshakes at this location, I didn't notice the fine print that shakes are not available at all restaurants, when I looked at their menu online. We had never been to Five Guys, but had heard great things, so, I was looking forward to a good, thick juicy burger and so was my husband. Well, what we got was totally different, I wish I had taken a picture now. The buns were cold, the patties were rather thin, the burger my husband had, the patty was thin and did not even cover the entire bun. The patties were not seasoned. They were more like veggie burgers because the lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, etc made up the burger. We were really disappointed and probably will not return to the Hoover location. I ate here at lunch today. The bacon cheeseburger is my favorite, but the French frys are awsome. 5guys has malt vinegar for the frys that makes them even better.
