I love hooters but this night was not a good one. Our waiter didn't check on us often and the food was not it's beat. I ordered an appetizer of the fried pickles which didnt arrive until after I got my entree of wings. They were way too salty and the wings seems overly fried. My friends cheesesteak did not come with the required mayo that she asked for on her sandwich and the meat was terrible. I wouldn't be going back to this location . They charge for a dipping sauce of ranch which is usually complimentary. It took forever to get anything you ask them , like napkins or a straw . This location is my go-to (aside from the the one in Osaka). Their service is super quick and the food is always great. Had the deep fried pickles which is definitely the appetizer to go with! There were no tomato slices instead there were diced tomatoes in a cup for me to add to the salad along with the blue cheese. Essentially you had to put your salad together at the table. You can't find a lot of places that still do the beer towers. They also have a great draft beer selection and is always cold!!! They also have super delicious wings. I love their Daytona sauce wings Daytona style. So amazing. Tons of delicious favors. Their fried pickles are good too, huge bowl of pickles so make sure you share!! So, I'm at Hooters on Greenbrier Parkway in Chesapeake, Va. My son (who is 11 and takin ME out with his allowance) and I have been waiting for OVER AN HOUR for 2 simple sandwiches. I very nicely bring it up to my server several times and she is as sweet as she can be. Still, waiting 1 hr and 20 mins right now. I went to the bathroom to buy time to get our food and after 10 more minutes NOTHING. The people behind me, to the left of me and in front of me all who arrived 30+ minutes after me received and are eating their food. We are hungry, we ask for the bill. We get the bill and I decide to tell the very nice girl up front about how we've been waiting for over an hour. Some douche bag guy with a 1990s rat tail that I've never seen in my life, interrupts me and starts talking to Debra whom I am already having a conversation with. I put my hand up to him and he got pissed, I told him I don't know you, and you don't know what's going on, don't interrupt me. He said "oh no she didn't just try to shut me up" he hurt exploded from there, his wife told him to leave me alone and then he walks away. My grandma was a server for over 50 years and I empathize especially on a day that most ppl are only coming for food. It is now 2:50pm and we have been waiting for and hour and 30 mins and no burger and no chicken strip sandwich. My son keeps apologizing, he just wanted to bring me to a place that I like to eat and he wanted to pay for. I am trying to keep my cool but our stomachs are in charge and when my son doesn't get to eat I become a diva mom and I am now pissed. I was craving wings so bad, and it's been a hot minute since I've been to Hooters. Came here with one of my friends and we both ordered the 20 wings. You can choose two flavors if you like, which they had many flavors to choose from. Also, you can choose your wings to be breaded or not. I went ahead and ordered all breaded Hot wings, OH Em Gee so Excited!! Literally, a few minutes later we get our order. It was super quick! As I bit into my chicken, it was Fresh, Hot and Crunchy mMm. Oh my, it definitely satisfied my wing cravings for sure! Came here for lunch this afternoon - there were 3 of us (2 adults and one toddler). The hostess sat us at an elevated booth and placed my son's high chair on the outer edge (half of the high chair base extended over the edge). The hostess assured us this was safe, but I spent the entire meal eating with only my left hand as my right hand held tightly to the high chair so it wouldn't fall backward. Sara was our server. We order a grilled cheese meal for our son, and 10 wings and a buffalo chicken salad for my husband and I. The kids meal came out quickly and was delicious. The rest of our meal however took about 40-45 mins, just for wings and a salad! Sara never gave us an update, just avoided eye contact every time she walked by. When I finally did flag her down, she said our meal was on its way, but then asked me to confirm what kind of cheese I wanted on my salad. Our meal was brought to us by a different server. My Buffalo Chicken Salad had about 4 nugget-sized chicken bits on it. I also had no silverware. Had to flag down another waitress. Then had to flag down Sara for our check. When she brought it she told us to "take our time" (...yeah right). Our card sat on the table untouched for about 5 mins. She finally took it and we left. Service is on point, and the food comes out hot~ It was a quick process, which was exactly what I needed since I was starving. Sundays 6-9 PM 1/2 off shrimp brings me in. I love shrimp, so I get the buffalo shrimp with honey thai sauce as well as a 1/2 lb. of steamed shrimp that comes with melted butter & cocktail sauce. It's nothing fancy, but I do prefer the cocktail sauce. The buffalo shrimp is cooked soo well that sometimes you might eat the leftover shell at the tail and not even care since it's battered and fried. The bill comes out to about $10.50, and I'm sufficiently full. You can watch the football games while you eat, but we were playing games on the switch while we waited. My husband and I decided to visit this Hooters on 15 Jan for a late lunch/early dinner after a day of shopping. Right after sitting down, I had a feeling it wasn't going to be good. We sat in the bar area at a high-top table. We were seated right away but it was almost 10 mins for someone to come take our drink order. I ordered an iced tea and my husband ordered a beer. My tea came almost 5 mins after I placed the order but my husband's beer took almost another 10 mins. I'm not sure why because we were sitting right across from the bar where we could see the bartender NOT pouring his beer. The beer finally came but at this point, I had finished my sweet tea but no one had bothered to ask if I needed a refill or to take our food order. My husband had to ask someone to take our food order. The hooters girls that finally took our order said our waitress was busy so she was helping. At this point, 20 mins has passed before our food order was placed. While waiting one of the managers was walking around changing all the TVs to the football game. It was fine except he turned all the TVs to a very loud volume. We were sitting right under a tv and it was so loud it wasn't comfortable. With no food and no sweet tea refill, I was ready to go. Although My husband only drank 1/4 of his beer the Hooters manager made sure we were charged full price for the unacceptable service we received. We left to get food someplace else. 6/15/2019 Hooters at Greenbrier, Chesapeake VA. Probably the worst Hooters in the franchise ever. My family (four of us) arrived at Greenbrier Hooters at around 930 tonight. The place was about 1/4 full and we had to wait at the entrance for 15 min before being helped to be seated because the waitress were arguing about who was to be doing what, then it took another 15 to 20 min before our waitress came to our table. We ordered 4 adult beverages and appetizers (fried pickles and chicken dip) which only took about 10 min to arrive and as always they were outstanding. However as for the waitress, she was soooooo bad that when the appetizers arrived we had to ask her over and over again for everything we needed. She did not bring any plates or silverware to our table before the food arrived. When the servers brought our food we wait on our waitress to bring plates and silverware and finally had to call our waitress over to our table and request plates and silverware. After 10 min she returned with plates and no silverware, so again we had to call her back and again requested silverware, and she acted as if we were bothering her. 5 min later later we got our silverware. When our main dishes arrived the wings were so small and over cooked that we called our waitress back and had the wings sent back. She never asked if we wanted anything else to replace the wings or if we wanted anything else to eat, she just took the wings and left. During the entire time we were there our waitress never asked if we need our adult beverages refilled or check on us to see if we needed anything. It came to the point that everything was so bad that we asked to speak to the manager. 20 min later when the manager arrived we told her about the food and how bad our waitress was and that we were very upset as to the way we had been treated. She was very apologetic for what had taken place and tried to pay for our entire food bill, however we are not that kind of people and we paid for what we ate and drank. As my job required me to travel and being one of Hooters biggest fan I have visited over 90 Hooters throughout the US and until tonight I have never had a bad experience in any Hooters. The Hooters at Greenbrier, Chesapeake VA. is by far one of the worst restaurant I have visited in years. The food and service was so bad that I do not think I will ever return to this location. I would sooner go to McDonalds or Burger King pick up food then go to a 7/11 and pick up a 6 pack of beer and take it home and eat before I would ever return to this location. So me and my boys (16 and 11) walked into Hooters and we were seated promptly. This was the only good thing that takes place in this story, so prepare yourself. We were seated at 5:48 and as we decided what we wanted to eat and drink we continued to wait for a server to greet us. With our minds made up, we continued to wait and closed our menus, hoping that an employee would notice. As servers were passing by us a few glanced over and made eye contact and still not one stopped to ask us anything. Needless to say, at 6:25, I decided to leave and as I was walking out I noticed that majority of the servers were too busy talking amongst themselves in several groups on the bar side of the restaurant. This is why I am giving this review. My first experience with Hooters in VA. was a big disappointment. Maybe, if the manager cared about customers, his servers would as well. I blame management and will highly recommend to everyone I know to avoid this Hooters. In the end, I bought my kids McDonald's and went home and made a sandwich. I came in on Sunday evening 11/13 and I wasn't sure if I wanted to place an order for takeout or just dine in. I ended up placing an order for takeout and when I arrived to get my food I had to get a refund processed for a drink which was fine but I never once seen the manager. The young lady that was handling my order went to look for him but couldn't find him so I was unable to get my refund. I went outside to leave and I noticed the manager and what looked like other employees standing around smoking. I don't think that's how a business is supposed to be ran. The most I had in one sitting was three and I felt like I had about 6 drinks. The bartenders load em up and def have a heavy hand. 6/25/18 - - Okay - - I hate to admit it. I have never been to Hooters prior to Monday. Can you believe that? Hooters is a household name. I can't even explain myself other than to say I thought it was a bar with pretty girls parading around in tight shorts. Anyway, I saw Undercover Boss where the owner disguised himself to see how his businesses were operating. He seemed so down-to-earth and the story of his father passing the business down to him just sparked my interest. My daughter and friends had just been to Hooters on Saturday June 23. Two days later, I went with her, my grandson and his friend for lunch. Prior to going, I asked my daughter if the kids could even go. She loves Hooters and said, "Of course kids can go." In the back of my mind, I was thinking, "I don't know about that." I was shocked at how family friendly the environment was. When I say "shocked", I seriously mean it was nothing like I thought or imagined. I am speechless. If my grandma was still living, I would take her to Hooters. My grandson loves crab legs, so he noticed the sign on the door right away advertising crab legs on Monday nights for $11.95. He just found a new place for crab legs! Regarding the girls in tight shorts, they were not flirtatious at all like I envisioned Hooter girls to be. I observed all of them. They were very ladylike, friendly, cordial and strictly business, while focusing on good customer satisfaction. Our waitress checked on us frequently and was very pleasant and patient. The tables and floors were clean. I checked out the restroom. It was clean. These are all very important elements in dining. We started with the buffalo chicken dip with chips. Oh my goodness! It is absolutely delicious! It was a pleasant treat from the mundane artichoke and spinach dip that I always seem to gravitate to everywhere else. I have discovered a new dip! When the dip arrived at the table, it smelled so good, we dived into it right away. About halfway through, I realized I had forgotten to take a picture. I almost took a picture of the half finished tray, but decided the presentation just wouldn't do justice to the wonderful dish. I will go back again, order the dip and add a picture later. I highly recommend this dip if you have never had it. I ordered ten wings, five General Tso's and five Teriyaki. The flavors in both were very good! I really want to eventually try all of the flavors. My daughter ordered ten wings. Five were mixed with a wonderful looking Parmesan sauce. I was too busy concentrating on my wings to ask what the other five were. She likes hot stuff. Let me tell you about the cheeseburger my grandson's friend ordered. Move over quarter pounder. You have been put to shame. There had to have been 3/4 pounds of meat on that burger. I don't know, but it was thick. I love cheeseburgers. My mouth was watering. I will definitely try that burger someday soon. The crab legs were the last to arrive. My grandson is seriously a crab leg'aholic. (That's a new word.) If crab legs are on a menu, he doesn't look at any other choices. I was really surprised at the portion he got for $11.95. I honestly expected to see one claw on the plate. The plate was full. They looked fresh, steaming hot and very appetizing. We were so into eating our wings, my grandson had finished off one claw before I realized I had not taken a picture. I need to do better taking pictures. I will have to go back on a Monday to add a photo of the crab legs too. Summing up the Hooters experience, I can honestly say how refreshing it was to break free of the old self-inflicted false stereotype I thought Hooters was all about. Shame on me! I would rather have a nice lunch dining experience there than some of the other places I have been accustomed to going. The morning after, I am still in shock and somewhat angry with myself that I missed out on this unique dining experience all these years. My husband is a sports fanatic and loves beer. He will absolutely love this place. I am definitely taking him there even if his old tail gets a innocent thrill out of seeing the pretty girls in their tight shorts. I'm okay with that. His thrill has been gone so long, blueberry hill can't even help him out. So he deserves a good pick-me-up. The one thing I would say to Hooters is - - there are probably other people out there who have the same mindset about Hooters that I have had. Add something in your ad campaigns to let people know that Hooters is family friendly, kid friendly and grand-folks friendly. Or, perhaps I'm the only one who didn't already know this. Well - - I know now. I will definitely be going back for those wonderful wings and trying other choices on the menu. We visited this Hooters for lunch on a Monday afternoon. It was pretty empty and that was expected. There was a about a 10 minute wait after we were sat and no one acknowledged us. Eventually our waitress showed up and took our drink orders. We were ready to order food but she walked away after the drink order. She took our food orders when she bought our drinks and disappeared again until the cook called her to get our food which had been sitting waiting for pick up. She and some of the girls were talking in the bar area away from the dining area. I did see a manager once and not again. This was one of my worst dining experiences in a longgggg time. I've managed for over 25 years so I am very patient and understanding since I know first hand the struggles of the business but the servers comment and actions at the end of our experience brought light to our dining experience. I normally visit the Norfolk location but yesterday my friend suggested we visit the Greenbrier location. We were greeted quickly and friendly. We went to the table and when the server Celina approached us to get our drink order of course we asked if there were any drink specials. She replied no, so we ordered a bahama mama and another beverage. She returned and said they did not offer those drinks. I was confused because I order it at Norfolk everytime. I also then mentioned that there were drink specials on the table and asked were they not available even though it said they were. She looked confused and still said no we don't have specials but those are available. That confused me so much I just ordered a sweet tea. We took a minute and when she came back we ordered a long island iced tea and blue motorcycle from the specials. We also ordered wings with dry rub and .60 shrimp. We waited quite a bit but there was a rather large party there as well so I understood that. When they brought the food it was good just wings were not crispy as we asked for and seasoning was very light. She mentioned if we sent them back they would throw them away and we would wait a very long time since there was a large party. We got the vibe she wanted us to just eat the wings and at that point I just kept them but we did ask for seasoning since it was light. When she brought the check I noticed it was $85. Upon inspection I noticed that she charged for ranches, extra sauces and the long island iced tea was $10 not $5. I asked her and she went to the bar came back to us and said it was because she rang in a top shelf. I'm confused how I'm expected to pay for a mistake she made. She began to go back and forth so I gave her my card because I was ready to go at the point. She said not i'm trying to explain why it was a top shelf. I replied no I'm not interested we did not ask for that so it is irrelevant just run my card. This was the worst $85 meal of my life. She made it a point as she was fussing to let us know it was also her 3rd day threw the check on the table for me to sign and then went to actually sit on top of the host stand at door until we left. I haven't been to a Hooters in years, but my friends were meeting up here to watch some football (I came in my soccer jersey as a joke) and share some good times. The service, like at most Hooters, is accommodating. I don't think I will understand the allure of young, busty girls fawning for my attention in the hopes of getting a good tip...oh wait, now I get it. Our server was top notch and attentive. I couldn't stay too long, but the food that came to the table looked to be excellent. The smells alone will make you salivate, if you are a fan of chicken wings, burgers, or other American fare. The atmosphere was great and the layout was well-done, considering the sheer number of people trying to get in the door. There were plenty of televisions to see your game, although the game you might be after could be on a screen far from the table that was available to you (but that's a problem in all sports bars).
