Overhyped because this is the local hot spot. There are definitely better wings joints around here. They offer a new wing sauce every Thursday and offer $2 PBR's on a specific day of the week but that's the only thing that makes it worth it. When you order wings they drown it in sauce. A little less would make more sense. read more

Went here after 9 pm Wednesday night. Not many people inside with many open tables, so no wait. Staff were all communicative, friendly, and made light fun conversation. Though there weren't many people in the restaurant at all, the kitchen was really backed up and it took a long time for our food to come out. This didn't make sense at all honestly, so I'm not sure what the issue was. Didn't get to snap a picture, but they had a decent little amount of arcade games inside, which was pretty cool; wasn't expecting to see those in there. Also one of the dessert items I wanted to try: the salted caramel brownie, was out of stock, so I did have to change my dessert choice; unfortunately. To drink: I got the Watermelon Limeade (8.5/10) it was easy to drink, honestly just tasted like a fruity soda with a very tiny buzz to it. I would've liked it a bit more if it was a little stronger. Also tried the Dirty Berry Mojito (10/10) I absolutely loved the flavor of this Mojito and it was a lot stronger than the limeade. Def had a buzz after finishing it. After I was done, felt like I should've really just ordered two of the mojitos only. To eat: I got half Strawbenero BBQ (9/10) and half Spicy Garlic Ranch (6.5/10) boneless wings. The strawberry-habanero mix wings were really different and unique. When I first bit into them, I tasted the strawberry glaze and after a few more chews, that's when the spice settled in. I think it was different and actually pretty good. As for the spicy garlic ranch wings, I feel like they really tasted like regular buffalo sauce wings. I'm not sure if the kitchen mixed up what flavors I ordered, but they def tasted like regular buffalo and not anything garlicky or ranch flavor. Also did a side order of the loaded tots (2/10) the tots were cooked nice and crispy, but the loaded toppings had absolutely no flavor. There was chilli and cheese and after even giving the chilli a taste by itself, there was truly no seasoning in it at all. I wouldn't order this again. Also got dessert: the Cracker Jack Cheesecake (10/10) cheesecake is my favorite dessert, and I love the toppings of caramel and toffee; pretty sure it was supposed to have a chocolate drizzle on it, but the caramel was really good so no complaints. I totally see myself going back again, their hotdogs on the menu looked really really good and I would like to try some more of their unique wing flavors. My overall rate of experience : 7.7/10 read more

Wow. The wings were great. I got two flavors. Spicy BBQ and a mustard. The mustard was so good. I wish the spicy BBQ had been a bit spicier. The dirty fries were good too. The fries were cooked perfectly. The wings were also cooked well and were a nice size. Our waitress was ok. She didn't check on us often enough and she saved me money on drinks by taking so long to get them. I would go back. It was nice to see friends and everyone ate all of their food. This bar has a typical sports bar feel. read more

For months I drove past The Dirty Buffalo until my friend decided last minute to eat here. We went Friday evening (8pm ish) and were seated fairly quickly. We found out they were hosting music bingo but didn't join in. It's definitely something we'll prepare for on our next Friday night visit. The menu is decent sized and loaded with sauce combinations. I ordered the garden salad, 10 piece wings and tots. They were great! I really appreciated the sauce sampling because it helped me decided. Our server was very polite and checked on us multiple times. He even helped me save $5 by signing up for their rewards program. I will be back! read more

Ordering pickup on the website was fast, easy, and simple. Prepaid for order, swung by the location on my way home, and it was hot and ready when I arrived! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a host who directed me to a specific pickup counter, my order was handed to me by a staff member with no issue. When I got home it was hot and delicious and packed with care. Will order again! If dining in, it was a sports bar atmosphere, busy and lively with lots of smiles. Seems like a great place and well staffed! read more

I'm a big fan of their wing selection. There are so many combinations and if you aren't interested in wings there are many other options. I really appreciate that their salads are made with quality greens and are made to order. Thirsty? They have a large selection of craft and local beers on tap and in the can. read more

The staff is super friendly, we always come late as ever with all our friends after church and can get a cheap bite to eat late. They have some of the most affordable menu in town. Hopefully they don't see this review and up the prices . It's definitely a great place to come and watch the game with or without friends. The atmosphere is always great! read more

Great food. Awesome service. For sure get the dirty Mac. This is definitely one of the better sports bars in Hampton roads. Lots of TVs. Nice people. They must have had a management change as it has really slipped the past 6-8 weeks. Food is lacking compared to the past. Too long to be served on a slow night. Server messed up the bill. Overall very disappointing. read more

Reading the reviews and menu I thought this was going to be a super gimmicky bar with low to average cheap good. I don't know if there is lipstick on a pig here but I loved it!! I ordered a pizza log to start which is essentially a pizza eggroll. It's been years since having one and I was not disappointed! Next up I did the dirty chick plate which was on a guy fieri show. It looked like school cafe lunch plopped on a plate yet was weirdly delicious. I also had a side five piece garlic lemon pepper rub which may have been the best I've ever had!! I finished everything off with cinnamon pretzels which were the only let down of the meal. If ever returning to VA on cheap eats but very solid food this is the place!!! read more

This place won my heart the moment I walked in...I walked in right in the middle of trivia night and the questions they were slinging out were wild! The service was also fantastic from start to finish, with great recommendations, constant check ins and frequent drink refills. So this was a winner just based on the hospitality. But it was also a champion in the food category. I got the 10 wing and 1 side combo and I don't know how I ate all the food because it was way too much for me. But the flavors hijacked my consciousness and put me in an advanced food coma...so I was asleep eating my food but still enjoying the hell out of it. I don't know how it was possible but it happened, I pinky swear. Between the spicy garlic ranch and the Cajun buffalo, the buffalo was the winner by a hair. The dirty fries it came with was hella good too, but eat it quickly because the fries soak up all the meat juices and cheese and it morphs into a potato casserole....I kinda liked it that way. Anyways, come on out and enjoy wings and hopefully you come during trivia night. read more

We went on a busy trivia night but arrived before it started so were seated with no wait. Group of 9 and service was great as always. I had the Southwest Philly. I was able to get the Southwest sauce on the side which I recommend. I want a fan of it on this dish but by itself it taste good. I did get a side of cheese sauce to pour over the top and that really made this dish. Restaurant was clean and service was fast. read more

On par pricing with other establishments. However, the service has been subpar both occasions I've been here--and these visits were months apart--once in summer and once this winter. Aloof and infrequent follow ups on the table. It's dimly lit, has a bit of a musty smell and just has a quite not so clean feel to it. Both times I've ordered wings, they've came out lukewarm, but the flavors are good. There are other establishments in Norfolk and VB with better service and better food of this same sort. I will not be wasting my time or money here again. read more

Talk about a variety! This place nailed it in that area. Dirty Buffalo is a sports bar in Norfolk right across from The Little Creek Amphibious Base. The first thing I noticed was all the TVs, and they are in easy view for anyone no matter where you sit. It's Table service, and there is a full bar. The menu options are bar food, but they have many items with a twist on them, like the mac and cheese options. You can get that with almost any protein they serve Now, my recommendation is this. Look for specials; they have them as you enter the establishment. You can view the menu online, making your life easier as they have many options. Lastly, have fun. Service is good, but depending on how busy they are, these can be favorably as it gives you more time to view the menu. Be aware if you come on the weekends or during sporting events, for it will live up to its name, and service may be slow. Kids are welcome; understand this is an adult sports bar. The food was good, the service was pleasant, and the experience was worthy of a second visit. On the negative side, the restaurant smells of partying, so bring some sanitizer. Otherwise, Enjoy Dirty Buffalo and HAPPY YELPING! read more

My wife and I made our first trip to TDB. I'm normally a BWW guy, but since we moved here, my friends have been recommending TDB, so I tried it out. Number one thing- our waitress Gaby was awesome. She was attentive, walked us through the menu and specials, got us beverages, and brought us samples of the sauces to help us pick. My wife got the dirty chick with 2 strips. The strips are pretty filling. Decent Mac and cheese. I could take or leave the homefries. I had 10 bone-in wings with Ruffalo rub and Jalapeño Ranch rub. The wings were prepared perfectly. Fried to a perfect crisp. The quality of wings was very good. Meaty and plump but not fatty or gristly. One small, minor point-if I had a do over I'd ask them to double the rub for a more intense flavor. Good trip; I'll be back! read more

The Dirty Buffalo as a whole is a very polarizing restaurant to a lot of people. Especially with all the competition in terms of chicken wings. But I'll say these are really the best wings in the seven cities. I can't say the state yet because I haven't eaten all around the state. But I digress My wife and I have gone a bunch and we've had friends go with us, and I myself have gone out and had guys nights here. The combination of flavors are so infinite psychologically you'll feel like you'll never eat the same kind twice. I prefer the dry rubs but the sauces are amazing as well, so much so they offer you bottles of them for a price too. The unlimited boneless wing deal they have on Thursdays is worth it's price not to mention the trivia nights (also Thursdays) are a blast to be a part of. My group have had some success there too. They have a homemade spicy chili (called Dirty Sauce and yes it's homemade despite what some claim) that's very good especially on their hot dogs. I could honestly eat 10 of them in one sitting if I didn't know my stomach would pay for it later. Their French fries are seasoned beautifully not to mention nice and crispy. The cheese curds, fried pickles, and pretzel bites are out of this damn world you could probably just get those and not even worry about main courses. Now the boneless wings come out hot and fresh. It's not some fake pressed chicken either. I know a lot prefer traditional wings ( we all do but being picky isn't worth anyone's energy. Food is food sometimes). If you're tired of or don't like Buffalo Wild Wings or Wingstop, I highly recommend here. Even one of my good friends tried this place for the first a couple months ago and he keeps going back with me which should tell you all you need to know. As for service, everyone is so nice and welcoming. When you go in, if he's working, ask for Shane. He will treat you like you're best friends and look out for you like you're royalty. That's not to say everyone else is awful. The employees here are very welcoming and warm, no matter how busy it is. Shane just happens to be our favorite. My friends and I met him first on a guys night. He was beyond amazing. Next time we went in with our wives, whom he met for the first time, he recognized my friend and I, got excited and he even hugged my wife like they hadn't seen each other since high school which made the experience even better. Had a guys night here last week. Had Shane as our server of course. Food was on point as was service. I don't see that changing anytime soon read more

This is for location on east LC rd. Location in Ghent is heads above!! I last ate at this location about two years ago. Impression. Food so so. But smell coming from bar area unusual. Not pleasant. Could have been cleaner. Tried again tonight. Place maybe eighth full for Saturday evening. Says a lot?? Entrance doors and floor area needs to be pressure washed looks like it had not been cleaned in a long time. Several dirty tables despite plenty of staff wondering around. Sat at bar. Service ok... ordered Cesar buffalo Caesar salad and tea. Caesar salad a mess. No Romaine lettuce, some sort of curly leaf lettuce. Chicken was over cooked and dry. Buffalo sauce over powered everything. Also almost no cheese. Caesar dressing tasted like ranch. Good size but unable to finish due to taste and dry chicken. Will not be coming back to this location. read more

Server Hannah was awesome! It was my first time there, my husband's second. She kept the refills coming and that's one of my pet peeves when out to eat. Once again, the Dirty Buffalo disappoints! My son came home from college today, so I thought it would be a good idea to get some takeout from this place. Man, what a mistake that was! The dining in has gotten better, but this takeout is absolutely unacceptable. For nearly $100 plus tip, I got wings without any sauce that were over cooked and chewy. The sides are tiny. The only thing I really wanted was tater tots, which were overly salty, soggy and undercooked. You would think there was some type of quality control, but nope! They were ready by the estimated pick up time, but the fact that I had sauceless wings took away from any good service. I'll definitely rethink ordering from here again. read more

The 1st time we came to this location was pre-Covid, so my husband only remembered that he got wings but nothing else. He can't remember if it was any good or not. We decided to try it again first the 2nd time. It was Wednesday night, and we got seated right away even though it was pretty busy. However, in the 15 minutes after we got seated, 4 other tables had gotten seated and servers were at least taking their drinks orders. NOBODY checked on us. Our server did NOT even stop by to say 'I'll be right with you' or anything like that. Every table around us got served except us. So we left. We will NEVER come back to this location because of the shitty NON-SERVICE. We will never want to visit another location because of this experience. read more

According to my son - The Dirty Buffalo has the best wings! Whenever we're in Norfolk or Virginia Beach it's a requirement. Last year we drove the 3+ hours during Juneteenth just for some wings. We were bummed when we found out that they were closed. We should have looked it up on their website. This is one of the many restaurants that they've opened up in the past few years. It did not disappoint. We started our meal with fried pickles. A must try! Then we all bought our traditional bone-in combos. My hubby and son love their wings with sauce. Today hubby tried the "strawbenero" instead of the mango habanero that he normally goes for. He loves it! I always go for "Rufallo" since I'm a dry rub kind of gal. My son loves the "hot" sauce with its sweet heat. We even got a bottle of our favorites to go so we can enjoy it at home. Outside of the delicious food is the great customer service. Our server was attentive, friendly and quite helpful with the menu. Even letting my son taste the sauce before ordering. It's a great place to go for the entire family! read more

I absolutely love the Dirty Buffalo. I've been an avid Bdubs fan for years for I think this honestly might take the number 1 spot. The xtra hot sauce flavor is my new all time favorite since the regular buffalo doesn't have quite the full kick in the mouth that I'd like it to. The wings were wet not dry, hot upon arrival, and not overly crispy. They also had some nice drink options available that made for a good time. The only thing that could use a little improvement was the service (though better than Bdubs) could have been just a little bit better, though not something that would stop me from coming back. This will be my next stop the next time I'm in the Va Beach area. read more

I'm a little disappointed to say that quality and service has really came down over the past few years. I usually come for their Philly Steak Out + seasoned fries and wings but the food tonight was dry and really lacking! We placed an order over the phone and was told that it would be around a 20-25 minute wait - no problem, we took our time! When my bf got there, no one greeted him at the hostess section and was told a few minutes later that take out orders were at another counter. It's just strange how staff can see a customer walk in, wait, and not do or say anything. Tonight I ordered a Philly Steak Out - $10.99 and it was pretty dry. The sandwich was a little lacking and it wasn't as "full" as I remember. My bf ordered 10 count boneless wings + a side of fries (which was tiny!!!). $15.99. We got three pieces of LIMP celery and ranch for an additional dollar something. So disappointing! The boneless wings tasted like stale Tyson's microwaveable wings covered in Red's hot sauce and the lemon pepper wings had minimal seasoning on them. I'm hoping this was just an off night for them because we felt pretty disappointed with dinner. read more

My husband, our buddy, and I came here for lunch with a real estate friend of ours. We were greeted and seated promptly. Inside was very spacious, kept clean, and at that time there were not many tables. Our server was kind and never interrupted us while we had our meeting. She was also attentive and knew when to come around and refill our drinks and check on us. I was recommended the Dirty Chick which is "all the good stuff" , chicken tenders, home fries, and mac and cheese. It comes in sizes, Single (one tender) , Regular (two tenders) , and Triple (self explanatory lol) and then you can get the tenders sauced up with one of their 43 options, with dry rub, or plain. I got my tender in spicy sriracha and it was so crispy to the point where I crave that meal randomly. Nothing fancy at all. It's such a simple meal and something you can definitely make at home but Dirty Buffalo is now on my list for cravings because of it. I haven't tried anything else yet but my husband had the Beefy American and said it's like a good homemade burger and also agrees that my dish was really good. Easy in and out lunch but I'll definitely have to try the wings and see the ambiance at night since it gives off a bar feel; however it is still family friendly. read more
