I had lunch here after a doctor's appointment on a Monday afternoon a few weeks ago, around 1245 and there was only 2 other guests in the restaurant. I used to come here weekly when I was pregnant and lived nearby for the all you can eat lunch special... well I am pregnant again and craving wings! The lunch special is still an amazing deal. I had 10 wings, a salad and fries for about the cost of a big mac meal-- that is crazy! I added on fried mushrooms and these are a MUST if you like real fried mushrooms. They tasted hand battered and were juicy and delicious. The wings, garlic and hot, were cooked well and sauced just right. I had great service and the manager came by to say hello and make sure I was enjoying my meal, as well. Well over a decade ago I went to the original Wild Wing Cafe in Charleston, SC, they instantly won my stomach over. My go to are the Red Hot and Blue wings, they never disappoint. This place is a great spot for wings. If you ask, you can try the sauces before you buy (with celery.) :) They have a hot honey flavor that is excellent. They also have loaded fries that are super yummy. Def recommend the ranch over the blue cheese at this spot. Very casual atmosphere with plenty of TVs. It's been a long time since I've been to Wild Wing Cafe. I used to frequent this spot back when I worked in food service - this was a hangout for the Outback Kempsville crew and I would regularly hang out with them (along with my coworkers at the permanently closed Outback Waterside). The food was good, the service was solid - perfect ingredients for fun times with each visit. WWC, though, was a casualty of me changing careers. A friend, though, took me here for my birthday last June - we talked about WWC and he wanted to check them out (because he's never dined there before). He didn't know they existed. After that visit, I'm glad to report their food is still solid while their service is fantastic. We started with an appetizer - Steel Town Spuds (taters topped with ranch, bacon & melted cheese). This is basically a nachos dish with tots instead of tortilla chips. We enjoyed this as we ate all of it. I had their wings lunch special, which is 8 wings & a side (potato wedges). They have a variety of sauces - I opted for a teriyaki sauce. The wings were cooked perfectly, while the sauce complimented the wings. I love potato wedges - WWC's are fantastic. I could've eaten just the wedges and I would've been happy. My friend and I shared a dessert - fried dough. In addition to it being so dang good, this was lighter than I expected. Still, I was full (I didn't finish my entree) and found myself force-eating. It was worth it, though! Our server, Willow (yes, I confirmed she was named after Alyson Hannigan's character on Buffy the Vampire Slayer), was kind, efficient and fast. If nothing else, I'd return because of her service. Wild Wing Cafe has been around for a minute. I'm glad they're still open for business - their wings are still excellent, and service is perfect. We had dinner recently at Wild Wing Cafe, located at 1437 Sam's Drive, near Sam's Club in the heart of Chesapeake. They were fairly busy but despite that, our experience was very good overall. Our server was attentive without hovering. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time and everyone in our group left full and satisfied. We had the 25 Wing sampler and it came out piping hot and delicious. A word of caution, the Atomic Sauce is no joke. I really enjoyed it, but it is very spicy. I met an old friend since it's near her place and she was in the mood for wings. I ordered 15 wings with three sauces: Sriracha honey lime, raging Cajun, and the Boss, the latter of which is a dry rub. Temperature wise the wings were pretty lukewarm. But they came with three ramekins of bleu cheese, more than I needed, but it tasted really good. The Boss was by far my least favorite, and I'm usually a big fan of dry rubs, This just had an overly strong mesquite flavor and the spices tasted a little bit burnt. Not a fan. The Sriracha honey lime were quite good, they had a blend of sweet and a little bit spicy. The Cajun was a decent sauce, but I was expecting a tad more heat on them. With a soft drink, it was $26 before tip. Not the worst wing experience, but nothing I'd go out of my way for. read more

I generally stop here for dinner when staying in the area. My last visit was nothing to brag about, some of my chicken wings were cold, apparently came out of the fryer much before the others. My favorite wing place! WWC makes the best jalapeño cheddar wings which are addictive. They are only in 7 states and if I'm any of them I look to see if I'm close enough to visit. I ordered takeout around 10 PM on Halloween. I ordered 2 sets of 6 wings. One was lemon pepper and the other Buffalo. I also ordered an appetizer of Buffalo shrimp. My food was done in 25 mins. I really enjoyed the tangy, lemon pepper wings. If you order takeout, always remember to stir the wing sauce as it can separate. My first wing tasted more like butter, so I had to mix the wings & then the flavor was great. Spot on! The buffalo wings were lacking sauce in my opinion. They needed more. The fried buffalo shrimp & buffalo wings were decent, but I've had better. If you're a sauce person, you may want to go elsewhere for request they go heavy on the sauce. My friends and I have been here a few times for team trivia. The trivia questions were engaging and kept us entertained throughout the evening. It was a great way to spend time with friends and enjoy some delicious food. The staff are fast and friendly. The menu features a great selection of hot sauces for their wings, but I like to get some on the side for dipping my tater tots (try the Braveheart sauce). They have something to satisfy almost every palate, but their hottest sauce isn't all that hot, but still very tasty. The only real issue during our visits is that the noise level in the restaurant was quite high (even before the team trivia started), making it difficult to have conversations without shouting. While the lively atmosphere added to the overall experience, it did detract slightly from the enjoyment of our meal. I don't care for wings so after perusing the limited menu I settled on beer battered onion rings and cheeseburger egg rolls. I should have just gone hungry that day because I was in for a such disappointment. The Egg rolls were 9.99 for 3. They were so small that when I opened the box I cried out "where's the beef?!" In their picture you'll see post it notes for size comparison. Y'all, those are the TINY post it notes. Each egg roll cost $3.33. I could have ordered a medium combo from a fast food joint for less and gotten more food. Perhaps if the quality or amount of filling had been more significant I could see paying $10 bucks for 3 spring roll sized items but it was not. And the onion rings weren't any different. There were 8 overcooked, greasy onion rings that cost $7.49 so, basically almost a dollar a ring. Now, if you're cooking these 8 rings in the same basket (and why wouldn't you because there were only 8 small to medium rings) why are some burnt and the others crispy? Do folks know how to shake a basket? It's basic Frying 101. I can't answer to anything other than these 2 items but I won't ever order from here again. We work for the city of chesapeake and not in positions where shelling out what we make per hour for greasy, old oil, basically burnt OR and teeny tiny egg rolls makes great fiscal sense. Wings are good, but small and sauce options are great compared to Buffalo Wild Wings. Wings are all the place is good for though. To an extent ... while good sauce options-- it does not always mean the sauces come out as advertised. We ordered the chicken bacon ranch rolls and that was very disappointing even though suggested by the server. All you can taste was really the fried part of the roll. Barely had texture or meat in it. A lot of roll and nothing more. And only 3 rolls for the price between two people is silly. I do not understand why some establishments give odd numbers to a party of more than 2. These same establishments have something in common: successfully disappoint their customers. We also ordered a big beefy burger that came with a side of fries. Burger physically looked good, but too much sauce was on it that made the bread unstable and difficult to eat. Beef was bland and nothing had flavor but the Moo sauce they provide with it. Nonetheless, everything took very long to come out during a slow time (1-2pm) and not many customers there. All the servers seemed great but ours. Ours seemed bi polar. We dined outside. Our server would almost be nice to us but as she walked away she would aggressively say out loud EVERY TIME how WINDY it was and it really was not. This made us feel bad for choosing outside seating. She was not inviting at all. And it was confusing as there were times she was nice but would then say things out loud walking away about how windy it was and was so dramatic she took off the fan that was outside too. $52 later dissatisfied. i wrote in a review to corporate about two weeks ago about an experience I had and no one has replied to me. I was trying to be nice about it but I guess going online is much needed. I overhead two servers speaking inappropriately about a table and how they don't like serving "their" kind because they are rude and never tip. yes, their kind being black the one server was training the other and they were talking by the drink area near the bathroom. me and my husband were sitting close to the bathrooms and could hear. we came back in to see if that server was still working there and she is. which means they either ignored my email or just let their servers say and do whatever. which makes sense, since they aren't nearly as busy when we come in. the food also hasn't been as consistent but my husband loves the flaming parmesan flavor so he insist we go. read more

Today was my first time eating at the wild wing café. I went in knowing exactly what I wanted, the wings! My friend had been raving about this place so I was excited to see what the hype was all about Food: we started with the Buffalo shrimp appetizer which was spicy!! The shrimp were a little on the small side but the Buffalo sauce that was used had a nice kick which I enjoyed. The appetizer also came with celery and a side of ranch For my entree, I ordered the 12 piece traditional wings with the Chinese situation (?) sauce and the slayer sauce both were on the spicy side but the Chinese situation was definitely spicier! They flavors were great and made my mouth tingle. I did notice the wings were kind of tiny and not that cripsy but overall they were really good wings and I'd definitely rate them above Buffalo wild wings. Service: I don't remember our waiter's name but he was very nice and made sure our waters were never empty and that we had napkins which is necessarily with wings! He even played along with my friends jokes. Since Buffalo Wild Wings is doing some funny stuff recently, my friend swore up and down I would love this place more. So we visited this place only to my surprise that I have been here before plenty of times (I'm getting old) I seemed to remember the China Syndrome so we ordered that a plethora of wings with crazy flavors such as, "the general" "red dragon" "slayer" "honey lime sriracha" "the boss" "gold rush" and "atomic meltdown". I think my favorite still is China Syndrome and Gold Rush, after we crushed a crap load of wings, we washed it down with a few $4 fireball shots. P.S. They give you a nice towel for you to wipe your hands in as well. Our server was super attentive and nice, the restaurant itself had live music playing and was busy but not overly ridiculous. #dateyourwifewednesday took us to Wild Wing which came highly recommended by a friend of mine. Unfortunately, it didn't meet the expectations... Let's talk about!!! The Good: My wife ordered from a pick 4 items for $14.99 list which I found to be reasonably priced. The Nachos with Queso was really good actually! So were the Mozzarella Sticks. The basket of Spuds (french fries) were good... Pretty much what to be expected of fries, and the size of the pretzel was INSANE!!! I was impressed when they brought it to our table! The BAD: Unfortunately the first pretzel they brought to our table, about a 4th of it was hard as a rock! Completely inedible! When a chef sends out food that is inedible, that's a huge negative. It's one thing if someone doesn't like a flavor...that's subjective. But if I threw that pretzel at you, I could be charged with a felony! A 4th of it was THAT hard! It should have never made it out to our table. We did speak to someone and got a replacement with no issue, and the replacement pretzel was soft and tasted good, but when restaurants send out food they probably should have known not to send out (burned food, hard food) that's a huge negative. Now, the wings. It's called Wild Wing so you'd expect the wing game to be on point. Also, a friend of mine highly recommended it. I hate to say I was sadly disappointed. First, $13.49 for 12 wings is typical, I guess... But that just seemed expensive to me (especially considering that's without a side). A basket of fries on the side would have been $3.50. that's almost a $20 lunch!!! I'm not ballin' like that!!! However sometimes the food justifies the price. Not this time. Don't get me wrong, I liked the flavor of the wings I ordered (Red Dragon, which was a teriyaki flavor and Honey Lime Siracha - both flavors were great, actually), but the wings themselves were tough. After eating about 5 of them, I honestly told my wife my jaw was tired from chewing. They were just tough. The only way I can think to describe it is if the wings were old and reheated or sat under a warmer for a while and were overcooked. I'm not suggesting that either is the actual case, just trying to describe the conditions of the meat. They weren't burnt, and the flavor was great, but the texture of the wings were really tough. I only ate half of them. I honestly couldn't eat any more. I doubt I'd go back, but if I did, it wouldn't be for wings. They have other GREAT looking items on the menu. Some if their burgers looked really good! So maybe if try a burger there if I'm on that side of town, but I don't think I'd make an intentional trip there. ‍ I give it 2 out of 5 stars. I had hopes that this would be a good wing spot, but was left disappointed. The online order issue is described well by another reviewer (Aimee E. ) I had the exact same issue. After calling in my order I was told 20 minutes. By the time I got my food it had been at least 50 minutes since the order was placed. I understand that things can take a bit longer with the current issues, but I'd rather be told upfront how long the wait is. In my 30 minutes waiting I overheard several people ordering their food on the phone were told the same 20 minutes I was. I can only hope it actually was for them. As for the wings, we ordered a 25 pieces with hot, mango habanero, hot garlic, lemon pepper, and a ranch sauce. Honestly it was hard to tell which were which.
