This is the most Doctor Jekyll/Mister Hyde Wingstop I have ever experienced. The Wingstop back home, I know what to expect, super long waits (up to 2 hrs) and great wings. Here, the first time I ordered must have been a slow night, cause my wings were bagged and ready and I was in and out with 3 minutes after getting my drinks made. Everything tasted great as normal. The second time, I ordered wings on my birthday cause they gave me free season fries for my birthday coupon. The wait times expected was 8-12 minutes on my order which I believed from my first experience here. I arrived after about 15 minutes. The store was packed with people waiting for their orders and had about four orders waiting to be picked up. I waited for the guy in front of me to order and then informed the girl at the counter that I ordered online and she basically said food was still being made. I realized they were busy and stressing out so I patiently sat down. I did notice that there was lots of phone use in the back (food prep area and bagging area) despite the busy store and cleanliness concerns. Another thing I noticed was that the girl in the front got increasingly more unfriendly as the store got busier. She obviously was frustrated and mad that the store was busy and the customers were getting irritated from waiting. I did my due diligence and just waited patiently as the kitchen worked as fast as they could. After about an hour of waiting, I just went up to check if my order was ready. The girl asked who I was again. She looked surprised when I informed I was waiting for about an hour. She looked at the nearby bag and handed it to me. It was obviously ready a while ago as my blue cheese was pretty warm and my fries were already cooling down when I got back to my hotel. I went inside to order and it was full of teens, now im not saying anything is wrong with that at all but its there attitude and you can literally hear them talking about who is walking in. My siblings really wanted to to here, so I relented and took them to the location on Volvo, which had the highest reviews. It cost about $70 for all of us. They did order a lot of food. The food came out pretty quickly for the amount there was. I don't eat chicken so I got the fried corn with voodoo fries. Everything was too salty for me. My brother and sister enjoyed everything, so 3 stars from me. My brother got the boneless deal, which is 20 pieces, 4 different flavors - and buffalo ranch fries. My sister did the 8 piece wing meal, 4 Hickory BBQ and 4 Lemon Pepper. My brother said the hot flavor was mid. He and my sister liked the hickory and lemon pepper flavors. My brother got the mango habanero, as well, which he found more sweet than spicy, but he enjoyed it the most. They loved their buffalo ranch fries. I spent 20 mins trying to call this place to make a to-go order like I normally do when the family wants wingstop. I couldn't get anyone on the line. I even called while driving to this place, no one picks up the phone. I finally arrive and am met with a sign that says "no phone call or walk in orders are being accepted at this time only online orders". Had someone would have picked up the phone or even had a recorded voicemail detailing these instructions I would have been more understanding, but since I already drove to the place I decided to get on my phone right in the waiting area and create an online order. After creating my online order I checked with an employee that the order was in and he did confirm. I remember always seeing the Wingstop commercials on T.V. when I was younger and I'd get upset when I learned that there were none in the Hampton Roads area, so when I saw that they finally built one in the area my face lit up and I immediately called my friend up (who loves chicken wings) so we could try it out. When I was getting my order rung up, she was manning the phone and taking my order on the register at the same time so I had to keep stopping in mid order while placing it. She apologized and then told her coworkers that someone else should man the phones while she was ringing up on the register, and I wholeheartedly agree. It looked like there were plenty of other people working who could helped out. After my friend placed his order we were told that it would take 25-30 minutes for our food to be ready, which wasn't a big deal cause I really wanted to try these wings endorsed heavily by Rock Ross. *Uh* Haha My friends food came out first after about 10 mintues, but there was a 10 minute gap until I got my food, but I ordered mines first. My sister and I ordered the 12 piece wing combo to share (you pick 2 different types of flavors, out of the 11 flavors they offer)We ordered the Lemon Pepper & Hawaiian wings. My favorite are the LEMON PEPPER WINGS (similar to a dry rub, not saucy), the Hawaiian wins were pretty good too, it had a lil tang to it, it also includes a basket of fries (seasoned or orig)you get hella alot of fries , and a refillable 20oz fountain drink for such a great deal!
