Chili's is one of my daughter and I's favorite, local spots so I decided to treat her to dinner for successfully completing her Fall semester of college. For a Thursday night, it was definitely a bit packed so we opted to sit at the bar. Reese, the bartender, greeted us as soon as we sat down and she was very sweet. We both ordered the $6 Merry Maker Margaritas, which is the margarita of the month. It's made with strawberry purée and their house-made sour and it was amazing! My daughter decided to be a bit healthy and order their Margarita Grilled Chicken, but I went with the Smokehouse Combo (Pick 2). I ordered the Half Rack of Ribs and the Honey-Chipotle Chicken Crispers. I actually wanted a side of corn on the cob and can you believe they took it off the menu!!!!! Their corn on the cob was amazing! I was very bummed about that! Needless to say, we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals! I absolutely love this Chili's! We went to Chili's for dinner and were seated right away. The first table was too small so they accommodated us with something bigger. The waiter was friendly and told us about the specials. My friends ordered the drink specials and thought they weren't good at all. The dye in the drinks made them taste weird. Kinda like when you get a birthday cake with purple or black dye, you can taste the eww. Lol... But it was pretty if that matters. They all got the triple dippers, and I got the smash burger with fries and corn. I should have followed my gut and got the triple dipper to, because the minute I bit the burger the bread and the meat broke down like a bad relationship!! Yikes.. It was downhill from there. Everyone else enjoyed their meals, while I quietly struggled with mines. Lol. Omg. The corn was good though, as always. I also got complimentary chips and salsa. I've never seen a chip crumble the way those did. They were paper thin and couldn't hold the salsa. Half the chips ended up in the bowl of salsa at the bottom. Lol. I have never experienced that. Just had one of the best cheeseburgers of my life at Chili's in Virginia Beach off Nimmo Parkway! Everything from the toasted bun, perfectly seasoned beef patty, and fresh veggies piled high... chef's kiss! Paired it with a couple of skinny margaritas that were absolutely yummy! We went to visit since we haven't had Chili's in years. We walked in and got seated right away. The menu had lots of options but I wasn't sure what to order as nothing really stood out. I checked online and people had been taking about their mozzarella sticks and also the chicken bacon ranch quesadillas so I went ahead and ordered that. The mozzarella sticks were thick and they did have a cheese pull to them. We ordered the regular and the Nashville hot. The Nashville hot had a lot of flavor and wasn't too spicy especially when you dipped it in the ranch. They were both good but nothing amazing that I would crave again. The quesadillas were also good but nothing outstanding. The prices I thought were pretty high for what you get. The service was good. The restaurant is pretty big but lots of empty tables and not a lot of people when we were there for prime dinner time. read more

This Chili's is located in the Red Mill Commons shopping center. You can see the restaurant from Nimmo Pkwy. There is ample parking available at this location and the parking is detached from the main shopping center. Things have changed here over the years since my original review roughly ten years ago. The inside has been updated since then, and the server that was not so good there (she was in the bar area) is no longer there as well. The overall vibe is still what one would expect at a Chili's location. I have generally been coming in here during lunch time. I have been taking advantage of the the unlimited soup and salad lunch menu. The food has been really good, and it has done well with not spiking my glucose levels as well, so that is a win-win for me. The service has been great since I have been coming back too. They are very attentive and follow up if anything is needed and such as well. Overall, things have gotten much better here for both the food and service. The menu is always changing, but there's always a good assortment of options to choose from. If you are in the area and looking for a place like Chili's, this location is totally worth visiting. read more

My husband and I were hungry and wanted something good but not super expensive- in 2025 where else can you get full - we got the 3 for 10, have good service -our waitress kept our glasses full and was pleasant and have good food and music! The food at this Chilis location was far below average. I got spicy shrimp tacos and they tasted very bland. My order came with rice and beans which were both ice cold. Overall my party's food was cold and salty. So salty that the server had to replace orders. Our waitress really hounded my group about ordering food and was completely unfamiliar with the menu. The other servers kept bringing more food to our table that we did not order. Luckily none of the extra food showed up on our tickets. On the upside the staff was nice and they were able to accommodate a mid-size party Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was a bit dirty and worn down looking. I found a long strand of hair just floating in my drink. The music in the men's bathroom was playing at extremely loud volume setting. The ambience was very average maybe a bit below. I dined here with my 3 year old son and husband on a Sunday afternoon around 4 pm a couple of weeks ago. We had such an awful experience with our server that I will never return. My son's mini cheese burgers came without cheese and our trio fajitas we were splitting came with just chicken and shrimp, and zero sides. When she checked on us I said I'm not sure if the kitchen forgot half our order or what happened but if we could get the missing items, silverware and plates and if she could send over the manager that would be great. The rest of our meal was eventually delivered later and in the meantime our server complained to a table nearby about us being Karen's asking for a manager because our entire order was wrong. So that couple felt it completely necessary to come up to us and inform me how much of a f*ing Karen I was and how much of a f*ing bitch I was. IN FRONT OF MY THREE YEAR OLD. We chose not to respond. Then the gentleman kept motioning for my husband to take it outside. Over cheese and missing steak and beans. Come on people. All because our server felt it completely necessary to complain about us. I have never felt more physically threatened during dinner or in a public restaurant. The manager removed the server from our section and took down our information saying she was filing a complaint with the regional against the servers actions, and that we would be contacted regarding our incident. Not only has the general manager failed to reach out, but also the regional. This was literally a simple mistake that just required the manager to remind the person running expo that day to keep a closer eye on order tickets. It was literally nothing personal to the server, it was simply an area needing slightly more redirection, that unless the manager was notified she couldn't provide. I wouldn't expect fellow staff to be the ones directly overseeing other positions such as expo. There was literally zero need for the server to go and stir up disorderly reactions out of another table over cheese and beans. I am so disappointed in what this Chili's has become. Before the pandemic, they always got my To Go order correct. But in recent years, my order is never right. It is always missing something that, of course, we paid extra for. This time, we were missing the extra tortillas that we paid for. The time before that we were missing the 2 extra containers of ranch. Also, the portions are smaller. This isn't a restaurant we frequent but since we were hungry and it was nearby we decided to eat here. We started off with their classic nachos. They were pretty good and honestly I was already feeling full eating them lol. They were evenly loaded with all the yummy black beans, cheese, chicken, jalapenos, sour cream..yum! I ordered their Alex's Santa Fe burger and Dave ordered their half of ribs with a side of corn on the cob and fries. The burger was pretty good. Not overly cooked. Moist with their spicy Santa Fe sauce, Avocado, pepper Jack, red onion, roasted jalapeños, tomato, pickles and cilantro. Fries were good too. Dave said his corn was delish. Ribs were falling off the bone tender and he said fries were good too. He shared with me how when he used to work here they would put the seasoned ribs in a pressure cooker to make them nice and tender. Service was good. My friend and I were super hungry and decided to swing by here since it was close by. I was worried that we wouldn't be seated right away because it was a Friday night fortunately for us, it wasn't too packed and we were seated pretty swiftly. We ordered the Loaded fries as our appetizer(in the pic its half eaten cause we couldn't help ourselves) which were absolutely delicious. As my entree, I ordered a steak medium rare which was cooked to perfection and the side of loaded mashed potatoes was awesome! We then had the cookie and icecream for dessert which was also delicious! This location is perfect if you like to shop and then get a bite to eat. I got food poisoning from eating here. Partly yelps fault because of the fact that it says that they close at 11PM. First time eating at chilis. Casually walk in to watch the finals basketball game and order some steak. Ordered some drinks and the med rare steaks came out. I ate about half of it until i realized that the meat kinda looked like defrosted popsicle ice in the inside. Tried to order more drinks, but waiter said they were closing, and thats when we found out they close at 10. Im sure the steaks were not thawed properly. Saw a GIANT roach on the floor outside the bathroom before I ordered my food. Ewww. Not good. I wanted to leave but my friend insisted that we stay since everyone was hungry. Our waitress was very sweet and on point - she was quick and we never had to wait for anything... but the whole experience was ruined for me when I saw the roach. I ordered from the low-calorie healthy side of the menu... I ordered a grilled chicken with peppers and onions and a sweet glaze that came with rice and broccoli. The chicken was gross... the texture was that of, and I'm almost sure it was, frozen chicken breast with a fatty texture... not good. The endless chips and salsa were good, as always. Made an order on Uber Eats and picked up "It's Just Wings". I ordered the smoked bone in wings, and they were HUGE. Not in a good way, these things must've been body building chickens from Venice Beach before they got done in, just didn't feel right. I'm all about hearty wings, and this might be something people like, but these were just way too big for me. The flavor was a little too smoky for me and not enough of the sauces that I ordered. Fries were soggy, not good for delivery because they'll be cold and flimsy by the time you get them. I'm only basing my stars on to-go/pick-up orders, which I've done several times. Food is always good - typical Chili's. Service over the phone when placing my order, and service in person when picking up food has been great too. No complaints. Ok this may become a sign of the times. We went on cinco de mayo and all the Mexican restaurants were super crowded, lines out the door, full parking lots, wait time unimaginable!! So we decided to give Chili's a try. Plenty of empty tables, but still they made us wait to be seated at our table. They ultimately ended up seating us in the bar area. Initially we sat at the bar and ordered a beer each, while waiting patiently for our table. My beer did not taste good, it tasted like it was "old" and tasted like they didn't fully rinse their glasses out. Not good!! Ordered our food-fajitas, it took a little bit longer than expected. The food was less than we had expected, lesser quality than in the past. The toppings seemed like they had been left out for a while, not as fresh as they could be. This is the second time I've been here and it's the second time I've had awful food and even worst service. Both times I've been to this location I went during a time where it was slow so I don't understand how the service could be so poor. Tonight takes the cake for the worst service. The lady who helped my husband and I was very short with us, she kept walking by without checking in to see how the food was and how we were doing. My food was awful. I ordered the southwest Caesar salad with shrimp and the salad was wilted, the shrimp had the tails on still, and there were so many tomatoes! I paid to just hurry up and leave because a larger party was being sat and she was more focused on them and what they needed. I understand tips can make or break a shift but just because you get a large party doesn't mean the tip will be bigger. I wanted to give this location another chance but unfortunately I just won't be back. I'm very sad that I paid for a meal I didn't even eat. She saw that my salad was basically untouched and didn't ask if anything was wrong with it or if I wanted a box. I would've told her what was wrong with it but the lady (I think her name was Alex) never stopped by to check in.
