I debated whether to go with three or four stars here because Chili's food is the same everywhere. But, truth be told, we like it. So, I guess that would constitute being a "fan" and that is four stars. So, there you go. We stopped into this location for lunch recently and had an overall good experience. We were seated right away, our server (Jamie) was personable and attentive, and the manager stopped by to see how things were going. What else can you want from a service angle? The food is the food. You know what you are getting when you go to a Chili's. We ordered some cheese fries and those came out nice and hot. Terrible for you but quite tasty! My wife ordered the cajun chicken pasta and I ordered the bacon chicken quesadilla. Both were very good and both were enough to take half home for lunch the next day. Ate here last night - it was my first time at a Chili's in maybe 7 years (haven't lived near one in awhile). Our server was really nice, but my frustration mainly lies with the amount of time it took us to get our entrees (nearly 40 min), while trying to keep our toddler entertained. As we were waiting for our food, a manager walked by to ask us how we were doing, and I had asked her if she would mind checking on our order - too much longer and we'd need to get it boxed up to go. After about 6/8 minutes, my entree came out (boneless buffalo wings) and they were lukewarm at best. I guess they had been sitting up at expo for too long waiting for my husband's burger to finish up. Ten minutes later, and after I had finished eating, my husband's very well done burger came out (he ordered medium, but whatever). The manager came over to apologize at one point and said that the server had 'delayed' the ticket, as she had been trained to do I guess, but that for some reason it took much longer than anticipated. Having worked in restaurants for 7 years, maybe I don't understand why you would want to 'delay' the entrees to a family eating with small kids? Especially when there is no soup/salad, and when the dinner order was taken when the appetizers were already at the table? Not blaming the server (again, she was very sweet), but maybe something to management to address since it doesn't make for a very enjoyable dining experience. read more

Noon time on a Saturday and it was raining pretty hard. I decided to stop at Chili's on Nimmo Pkwy to order some take out. I walk in and the restaurant was mostly empty. Someone asks me: are you here to pick up? No, hoping to place an order. OK, she can help you with that, pointing to a blonde waitress ( name unknown ). So if you could call us to place the order...What is the difference? I already know what I want, I can place the order, wait in my car and come back in 20 min to pick up. It only takes a few moments... No, we're not doing that, says she. Somebody teach these people some customer service. Went here for lunch today and ordered a 7 dollar lunch combo, the server, Bridgette, asked me if I wanted the molten chocolate cake for dessert. I said yes meaning the mini one that was a deal for $3 with my combo. I was then given the larger form of the desert and was expected to pay the full $8 price because it was "already being made in the kitchen." She did not get a tip. read more

It was getting late in the evening and ww decided to stop here for dinner since it was the restaurant in the area we were in. Hostess was ok. She sat everyone who walked in together, the restaurant was freakin empty and shoved everyone in a corner like a packed can of sardines. Waiter was great. Very attentive, he was caring about entertaining our son and every other kids that waa assign to him. Food was no where close to good. They had a special about $10.99- 2 meat fajitas w/48% percent more meat, so my husband ordered it. It came out and there was no 48% more meat, barely seasoned and barely sizziling. I ordered the prime rib which was almost $20 and I asked for it medium rare, it came out well done, really chef's? Realize going to this place if we want fajitas we'll go to a Mexican restaurant and for steak a good steak house. Next time we come here, it'll be for chips and salsa only. read more

Don't order the ribs. It's a total misrepresentation. I ordered a half rack. It was 4 ribs. I questioned the server then later the manager on duty if this was a mistake and was told a half rack is 4 and a full rack is 8. I was curious so I looked it up. Anatomically, pigs have 2 sets of ribs, each will be 16 ribs. So what they call 1/2 rack is a 1/4 rack and what they call a full rack is only a half rack. The manager said they have a new supplier out of NC. Do they raise shorter pigs in NC. I don't think so. read more

Awesome fajitas now that they've gone back to the old way without the stupid "towers". Make sure you ask for lettuce tho, they don't come with the fajitas normally. Hubby & I stopped in for dinner. We haven't been here in ages because my husband usually leaves disappointed. Either he thinks his food could be much better or we had out drinks brought shortly after being seated & the waiter doesn't return until the end of our meal. We've waited 45 mins for food, you name it so maybe once every year & half we'll stop in if we're nearby, hungry but not wanting fast food. Surprisingly, this time he liked his food & I hated mine. One of my favorite things to order is the cajun chicken pasta (or the the nachos). The sauce is completely different on the cajun chicken pasta. It used to be so good. Now it tastes pre-packaged & weird. Waiter was nice enough to voluntarily bring me a small cup of extra sauce for it when our food came out but YUCK! I never used the extra sauce. Comes with Texas toast, also usually good but was soggy. We had ordered chips & salsa as an app while we waited for our food so I just kept eating that instead. okay, so Im not one who would usually give a chain this many stars (chains are normally not that great) but this location of Chili's is really great. We always sit in the bar (so I cannot rate the dining room) and lately the same waitress has been serving us each time....but that's okay because the service has been good every time we have been in and the food is yummy. It's decent, yes, but far less illustrious than the surrounding local restaurants. I have to say, the service was excellent, though. Our server was welcoming, cheerful, and accommodating. Overall, good place to go if you're burnt out on seafood. The grilled cheese I had was crisp, but tasteless if not overly buttery. My grandfather had the Chipotle steak, which he enjoyed greatly. Go to your local Chili's and ask them to bring you out fajitas WITHOUT THE COMPOUND that creates the sizzle, your food is not sizzling, not ever. NEED PROOF; order two fajitas; one with and one without Sizzle Sauce. when it comes to your table, touch the meat. I gurantee you they are theboth luke warm to the touch, no difference. The servers are CONSISTENTLY eating chips out of the machine, with no regards to washing hands or cross contamination. NEED PROOF; There is one sink for servers to wash hands which can be seen if one looks into the kitchen on the way to the bathroom. Watch how many servers wash their hand, and know that 90 percent of them are touching your food. NEED PROOF; On your way to the bathroom, noice how many servers take your questionably clean glass and scoop ice from the community ice bin; The BOH manager keeps her hair down, even on the line when she is helping the line cooks. NEED PROOF; ask to speak to the BOH manager. but do not complain, like the guest on 5/24/2014 that was sitting three tables from the bathroom with her child and husband and anotheer guest. I overheard the female FOH manager making fun of the lady to the servers, explicitly calling her Honey Boo Boo!!!!!!!!!!!! It was appauling!!!!!! Chili's has been a family favorite for years. Chips and salsa to start is a must, and the molten chocolate cake is to die for. A newer dish that's been added to the menu that I have enjoyed are the chicken enchiladas. Love this chili's. We always get good service here. I knew I wanted a salad bc their ranch is what dreams are made of, and she offered the burger with the salad and dessert for $10. It was perfect. The burger was a little undercooked for my liking but not enough to even say anything. It still tasted great. The molten lava cake was amazing of course (could've used a little more ice cream lol). I don't know where to start. We were seated quickly and the staff was extremely prompt and attentive. Our food was bought out hot and quickly. Our appetizers came out hot and in the appropriate time ahead of our meals. Our daughter has severe anxiety that occasionally makes her sick. Tonight she got sick at the table and the staff was amazing. Some ram to the bathroom to make sure she was ok. Our waiter came to make sure it wasn't the food that made her sick.
