Nick Deez was a hilarious storyteller, Samantha Lukasiewicz did a great job interacting with the audience, Jeremy Allen kept everything moving as host and producer, and Steve Swisher was a natural. It's hard to believe he's only been doing stand-up for about a year, he was super natural and very funny. The only negative was a group of loud patrons in the back of the comedy room who disrupted part of the show for us for a while. I would have liked to see the staff step in a little sooner, but they eventually left, and it certainly wasn't enough to take away from an otherwise great evening. There's a big open bar in the center with lots of seating on 3 sides, and colorful lights, open and comfortable, pool tables, darts, TVs, and plenty of hang-out space on the right, and a separate event room to the left that tightly fits about 70 people that was a fun, intimate comedy venue. Although this shopping center tends to be on the busier side, there were no issues with parking for any of the visits I have made there. My most recent visit here was on March 23, 2026. From the outside, it can be hard to spot them at first with the sign colors similar to businesses around them. The full name is Simply George Burger Joint. The overall view outside lines up with how the rest of the shopping center looks like. I found out looking at the info on the windows outside the business that they are part of the La Oficina Steakhouse & Cantina and Maracaibo Bistro Venezuelan Kitchen & Cocktails. I'm always up for trying something new, and that's why I came in for my first visit on February 13, 2026. When I came inside, it gave me the feel of travel and such with Route 66, cars, etc.. It's a small place inside, but that can be a good thing too. The tables are set up with booth type seating on one side of the table and rolling chairs on the other side of the table. There is a story about this business on the wall to the right after entering. On this first visit, I saw that it was showing they opened at 4 pm, but they actually opened at 11 am. I let them know about that too so it can get updated. They do serve alcohol here, and they have beers, wine, cocktails, and a house liquor. My mom was with me on this visit, and we could choose any table we wanted. Menus were already available on the tables that weren't occupied, and as soon as we got seated and settled, our server came over asking what we wanted to drink. I went with my usual, which is water with lemon. They have Coca Cola products here, so my mom had a Coca Cola soda. It took us a bit of time to choose what we wanted. I ordered first, and then my mom ended up ordering the same thing I did. I decided to go with The Camaro Burger with pepper jack cheese, which is a double beef patty with bacon, F1 sauce, and cheese choice. We both ordered Fries from the Extras menu. I watched as they were getting the food together, as they have an open kitchen for viewing. It didn't take long for everything to be ready. Although everything basically just fit into their plates, the burger was full of flavor. I really liked that F1 sauce on it, so I added more as they are at the tables too with the other condiments. Overall, this was an excellent first visit. Fast forward a little more than a month later when we came back on March 23, 2026. We came in a little after 3:30 pm, so it wasn't too busy, but since things were so good the first time we had to come back. They have a pretty small staff, so we had the same server as we did on our first visit. We both got the same drinks we did the month before. When it came to food, I wanted to try something other than fries. This time I ordered the Impalaquenos (Venezuelan Cheese Sticks). The Impalaquenos were really good. The sauce that went with it complemented it well. That sauce was a Garlic and Cilantro Sauce. I changed up the burger I would get this time. I went with The Malibu Classic Burger, which includes double beef patty, lettuce, tomato, F1 sauce, and cheese of choice (pepper jack cheese for me). Although it was extra, I did add bacon and onion to it. My mom went with The Camaro Burger again, but she did add onion to it as well. It was nice to watch as they were getting the food together. Everything came out hot and they were just as good as the time before. Since it wasn't too busy at the time, I asked some questions about the business. The business came about after winning the 2025 COVA Battle of the Burgers. I also asked about the F1 Sauce that is so good. The F1 Sauce is made from pickles, onion, ketchup, mayo and garlic. Overall, these have both been excellent visits here. The food and service were on point both times. If you pay by a credit or debit card, there is a 3.5% admin fee to cover their cost for using such card. Although the menu is small, there's still a good amount of flavors to choose from. I know some will say costs are high, but everything is these days. These burgers were worth it for us. If you're in this area of VIrginia Beach and looking for a burger place to check out, this place is definitely worth it.

Regardless, it had that nice slightly smokey taste and you definitely taste that it's 100 percent beef. The fries were pre-cut, but were fried well and came out crispy. There were almost perfect and tasted great with ketchup. Not too salty, it had the right amount of seasoning. The Caramelized burger was very impressive. The bun was served soft, meat well done, and the onions add a certain crispiness to the gooey melted cheese in a good way. It was delicious with each bite, especially with their customized F1 sauce. The Mustang Burger had the american cheese perfectly melted on the patty with shredded lettuce, tomato, and onion. Quite sincerely cooked with a well done patty. I recommend the Mustang Burger with the F1 sauce and a dash a ketchup. If I had to choose between the two, I like The Caramelized the most. It definitely won this race. So, if you want to find a laid back joint to try some American food. Check Simply George out!
