Flat iron steaks from the best.
    Justin L.

Dan and Theresa have THE best meats hands down. This is my 4th time cooking their different cuts. Went with the flat iron this time and smoked them and finished with a reverse sear. Perfect Christmas dinner. Thanks guys! See you soon!

I have really enjoyed the steaks at Hook and Cleaver. I have had the rib eyes, sirloin, and the Teres major steaks. All have turned out perfectly tender. Just recently made a steak salad with the Teres major steak. Flavor and tenderness were perfect! So good!

It…read moregoes deeper than that, because they truly are a blessing in this world with the way that they practice regenerative farming, and with the raising of livestock and crops in the most humane and God-intended way possible. I am an absolute stickler when it comes to the toxins that go into our bodies from the food we eat, to the water we drink, to the clothes we wear, to even the air we breath and more... And with primal pastures, I am completely convinced that everything they put their name behind is the ABSOLUTE gold standard. And by gold standard I mean it is the way God intended it to be and the way humans were created to live. We have the family membership: my wife and 3 kids, ages ranging from 10 months old to 5 years old and we visit the farm for fresh air and sunlight every single week. The people and community are friendly, the landscape is green and beautiful, so much beautiful nature. Our visit to the farm has become a routine for our whole family, a sort of decompression from the stresses of everyday life. The kids absolutely love it, the hours fly by when we're there but the minutes move slowly in the most relaxing way. The seasonal fruit and vegetable pickings is a definite plus as well, (the kids love going and picking blackberries and cherry tomatoes when they're available!). I am so thankful to God that we stumbled upon this farm, and cannot recommend it enough to all my friends and family.

Pasture raised they claim but the egg shells are weak and the yolks are not a dark orange. I understand this is not a real gauge on a healthy well fed hen. But the shells are very weak. I also did not see any hens walking around.

Just as good as I remember!…read more We used to go to the Temecula location until they closed up the shop. Today I went to Murrieta to look in the meat a frozen cases and order two sandwiches. Before I get to reviewing the sandwiches I want to mention the great stuff I saw at the meat counter that I will definitely come back for! They had chorizo, pork breakfast sausage, Hungarian pork sausage, two kinds of brats and more. Nice organic chickens, bone in skin on chicken thighs, and herb marinated half chickens. Their chickens are smaller than what they sell at supermarkets which tell me they are younger and more tender. The steaks....ohhhh the steaks! Wagu, Prime grade, rib-eyes, New York Strips, big shrimps, fish, etc. In the other cold case there was Duck, and other Duck related products, plus so much more I can't remember them all! They are a busy place at lunchtime and I didn't mind waiting. We had a turkey and bacon hot sandwich and a BLT. Outstanding on both! My wife's only suggestion that the turkey needed more chipotle aioli, it was a bit dry.

I was the top guy and worked at the outhouse and the penthouse, meaning I worked in financially stable and unstable departments. With all that said, I saw plenty of problems at this location. Starting off, they are way overpriced. Unless the owners gross profit percentage is 50% or more, should definitely be embarrassed pushing low marbled over priced products. Also, questioning the rotation and shelf life on the product. Quality; putting a first cut, wedge cut that was barely scraped in your counter is embarrassing. Anyone that knows anything about cutting or displaying would walk out, which I did. Displays are amateur at best, no quality or finesse. I would recommend avoiding this place until they learn the business.

I'm visiting for the second time, and I remembered this place having some of the best meat I've…read moreever had at a KBBQ restaurant. The cuts were high quality and not overloaded with fat. For some reason, I just never made it back here; probably because the Promenade area isn't usually along our route. Coming here tonight genuinely brightened my day. I had just finished a long shift and a commute, and all I wanted was a good, comforting meal. My nutritionist told me yesterday need to significantly increase my protein intake to help reduce muscle loss related to my autoimmune thyroid condition. KBBQ seemed like the perfect choice; lots of protein without a lot of unnecessary junk. On my way home, I stopped at two other KBBQ restaurants. Apparently, I was unaware of the unspoken rule that some places don't serve parties of one on weekends. One restaurant even had me wait 25 minutes before telling me they wouldn't seat a solo diner during the weekend. Unfortunately, my husband is currently deployed, so being a party of one isn't exactly a choice for me right now! Normally, dining alone doesn't bother me at all, but today it got to me. I was exhausted and simply wanted a comforting meal. Being turned away after waiting 25 minutes just because I by myself was the last thing I needed. When I called this restaurant, the owner or manager immediately answered and was incredibly friendly. He explained that they offer entrée and plate options for guests who aren't doing the all-you-can-eat menu. I honestly don't understand why more restaurants don't offer this. I know the food industry is competitive and businesses have to make money, but having options for solo diners makes such a difference. When I arrived, I received wonderful service right away, and there was no wait, but they were full. The owner or manager recognized me as the person who had called earlier and went out of his way to make me feel welcome since we found out we're from the same area. He even added a little surprise to my order simply out of kindness. The entire staff was friendly, professional, and attentive. In an area with no shortage of restaurants, I want to give this place the credit it deserves, not only for the excellent food, but for the heart behind the business. Today, I'm especially grateful for the kindness and generosity shown to me. You never know what someone may be going through, and a simple act of thoughtfulness can make a bigger impact than you realize. His kindness truly lifted my spirits after a long and difficult day. I believe this is a small family-owned business, and they absolutely deserve the support of the community. Great food is easy to find; genuine hospitality is much harder to come by. I'll definitely be back!

(cheap lunch specials at both locations) Food (5/5) - took some coworkers here for a work lunch and even just the lowest tier menu was great in price and taste. Great sides like corn cheese and fried chicken, and great quality meats like the beef belly and flavorful bulgogi had us eating until we gained a few extra pounds. need to come back for the premium menus. service (5/5) - i guess they usually have a tablet system to order, but it wasn't working today so they had servers taking orders. Added myself to the waitlist. Waited 20-25 minutes. Got called up only for them to tell me that the don't serve solo diners on weekends. Sorry, I have no choice but to be solo bc my husband is deployed. That was irksome and so inconvenient considering the time wasted waiting for nothing. Silver lining, and the real reason I am posting...as I was walking out, a man heard me get rejected for dining and the guy went after me to ask if I wanted to sit with him and his group. I just wanted to thank him for his kindness and I apologize if I walked away quickly. I was a bit embarrassed waiting that long only to be denied service. Thank you sir, you are proof that there are still good people in the world. You made an embarrassing ordeal, a moment to be grateful for. I'm blessed to encounter good people. God Bless you and your heart. Same to your group, whether it was friends or family.
