We saw it on yelp while planning a big group trip to Temecula and thought we would stop to buy some of their pre marinated meats to grill at our airbnb one night and we were all super impressed!! We got a mango habanero carne, pineapple pastor chicken and a cilantro lime green chile carne. Soooo good! My favorite was the green carne. Get it and you will not regret it. The garlic salsa was also delicious. Perfect for bbqs and big groups! They also have group meals as well. Stopped by Kennedy's for the first time on 6/20/25 around noonish, and I have to say--it was well worth the wait. The line took a little while, but it was easy to see why. The two workers behind the counter weren't rushing anyone--they were making sure every single customer got exactly what they needed, with care and attention to detail you don't often see anymore. It felt personal and genuine. I picked up a few different cuts, but the *BBQ beef kabobs* stole the show. After I took them off the skewers and sliced them up, they turned into these insanely tender, flavorful bites that made the *perfect "burnt ends" side dish*. Seriously, they melted in my mouth. The *mango habanero chicken* had the right amount of sweet heat and cooked down to absolute perfection--juicy, spicy, and packed with flavor. And the *chile cilantro chicken* was another hit--bright, bold, and perfect for the grill. But the best part of the whole experience? How *fresh* everything was. You can *taste* the difference. My new favorite meat market! I was coming back from Palm Desert and decided to look up meat markets for the weekend. Wow, was I pleasantly surprised to find Kennedy's. This is an upscale Mexican market, but it's not stuffy. The variety of choices enticed me, and I bought four different varieties. 1. Chicken breast- Lemon - Served this over pasta! 2. Chicken- Cilantro Lime - Made Chicken bowls 3. Chicken- El Pastor - Burritos 4. Chicken Sausage- Habenero 0-Served w Eggs (Spicy) One of the highlights of my visit was the young man at the counter, whose name I regrettably didn't get. His patience and willingness to guide us through the marinades was commendable. We expressed our preference for spice, and he was careful to recommend specific items with different flavors for us to try. His service was truly exceptional. Despite living in El Cajon, a drive to Kennedy's is a commitment. The quality and variety of their products, and exceptionalonvinced me that it's worth the joy I'm willing to couple with th service, have cey. I've already made a plan to visit at least once a month. Lately I've given out an unusual amount of 5 star reviews lately, so I've tried really hard to think of something I didn't like here at Kennedy's to justify breaking this perceived pattern... But I can't!!! I stood here and literally GRAZED on their home made tortillas, chips, and salsa samples and NO ONE said a thing! Yes, I felt guilty but it was ALL SO GOOD and the best part was no one gave me shame vibes! (That is a WIN for ANY 40 something Husband!) My wife was at the counter ordering all of our meats for the BBQ and I started talking to all the friendly people here about different cuts and options for their meats and every single person here was super knowledgeable and friendly, so I was really taking advantage and started planning on our NEXT BBQ before we had this one. We went here for about 8lbs of carne & pollo asada (4lbs each), and we left with a mix of about 20lbs of 7 different meats, a couple bags of chips and tortillas, and 4 different salsas and a Mexican coke. I have waited to give this review. So many times I have reviewed companies based on the one time I went, only to be disappointed . Well, we have went there 4 or 5 times now, it just keeps getting better. Problem is, once you have their food, you won't be satisfied with Ralphs or Vons meant anymore. It is superior quality. But honestly, the best part are all the people working in there. They are all super friendly and helpful. The butchers, the cash register people, all of them are great and most if them are young. These guys didn't get the memo that service is supposed to be poor these days. Plus the store is super clean. They got prime cuts, 21 day aged steaks for special occasions, anything you want. It was my first time going into Kennedy's yesterday and wow they have amazing stuff! I got the burgundy pepper carne asada, guac and green salsa. Everything was delicious! The staff are all super nice and they gave me the best recommendations. The carne asada is absolutely exceptional! The meat is tender and there's barely any fat on it so you can eat all of it! I had been waiting for this store to open ever since my friend Karen told me about it. I was very happy to find out how close it is to me. A couple of weeks ago I went in to check out all the stuff. Bought some tortilla chips, guacamole and chocolate empanadas. Just waiting for an excuse to come back for more things. Turns out Memorial Day was the perfect day to get supplies. We ended up buying some beautiful cowboy ribeye steaks, beans, poblano rice, garlic salsa, guacamole and tortilla chips. Made for a wonderful BBQ with little effort on my part. I like easy. I will definitely be back. There are quality meats of all kinds; Tri tips, pollo, pork, carnitas of several flavors, etc. until next time Kennedy's! Second time I've been here to pick up meat to bbq and the service is as high quality as the food. You can tell the employees truly love working there. Great selection of meats! I bought six ribeyes for Thanksgiving, they are about 4 inches thick so they cut them in halves for me. The employees were very helpful and friendly. They also had a great assortment of spices, bottle sodas, and a few essential vegetables. I saw some excellent meats for smoking so I will be shopping here a lot this summer, I smoke quite a lot of different meats including pork belly for my own bacon recipe. read more

We wanted to prepare veal piccata for our guests, but could not find veal cutlets. It turns out it is banned in California (anti-"cruelty" laws??? Apparently you can kill some animals in various stages of development for consumption but not others). We went to multiple grocery stores and butchers, but no one could obtain veal. Only Kennedy's went the extra mile to order it from out of state and have it shipped to the Temecula store. It was already tenderized and vacuum frozen in packs of two cutlets each. We were so excited to see a meat market come to the area. It had huge cuts of meat, as one would expect from a meat market. Looked well organized. We ordered 2 of the rib eyes, chicken breast, a bag of chips, salsa and guacamole. Was really excited to throw 2 huge chunks of meat on the grill. Thrn I opened the package! Couldn't believe the switcharoo tiny steaks! That's not what I ordered, I pointed to the huge ones in the display. Where did these tiny steaks come from? Winco? Speaking of which the guac was identical to Wincos. Same packaging, no big deal. Chips were stale. We have heard all the excitement about Kennedy's coming to town. We decided to give it a try. We got here shortly before they closed. We scored on their chicken thigh sale. I'm not really familiar with chicken thighs, I typically use chicken breast. I figured id give it a whirl. I spoke to one of the gentleman and he told me how to cook it. I decided to throw it on my Blackstone. I got the mango habanero as well as lemon. Both were fantastic. Very flavorful. I chop them up and threw them on their hybrid tortillas. If you have never tried the corn and flour blend of tortillas, you need to do it. A little chewy, not dry. Great balance. Store is fantastic. They have everything prepackaged for you. Beans, rice, cilantro, all kinds of salsa, chipotle sauce, etc. they also have tons of spices and all sorts of stuff. Can't wait to try the food they serve as well as the carne asada.
