They have a nice patio outside and are dog friendly...yea! We tried the chicken garlic sausage sandwich that came on a tasty roll with carmelized onions and mustard. It didnt need much mustard as it was seasoned nicely. Sandwich came with chips. We had a side of chili mac...lol they literally mixed chili and mac and cheese. It was delicious! They serve beer and wine and had a pretty good selection of reds, rose and whites to choose from. I had a glass of Zin and the wife had a red blend. We liked both. Mad Mike specializes in gourmet sausages and brats. They also have a wide variety of salsas, relish, basalmic vinegar, spicey jelly and much more. Cant wait to try thier chorizo fries, looked and sounded great. They also have some live music. Very comfortable and homey feel to Mad Mike's and I can see myself coming here often.

Inside are several tables for dining and enough space for live music. Also on display are Mad Mike products like jams, dipping sauces and the wines that they pour. There are several local wines. The day that we visited, there were a few vendors selling their products on the small outside patio. Lucky for me, my husband surprised me with 2 pairs of earrings that he bought from one of the vendors! My husband and I shared a chicken sausage sandwich and chili Mac. The sausage was full of flavor, served inside of a soft and fresh roll. The chili Mac is creamy and gooey with cheese. It was a heavy meal, and a well worthwhile treat for us. We enjoyed our meal with a glass of Dancing Bull Zinfandel and Friends Red Blend. Both were very good. Mad Mike and staff are devoted to their customers and the service was friendly and personal. It's a good place to hang out and enjoy a meat lovers meal.

So we made it a point to come back on a weekday at 11:00 am morning when they open and kid you not, the lunch line had started. So here's my opinion; the BBQ/food was absolutely "GREAT". We had a huge "everything" pan to include Mac'n Cheese, Beans and their toast as well! Brought home the rest and enjoyed every bit of it up until today. Folks, Texas Smokehouse Bbq is absolutely awesome! Will be going back & highly recommend it.

We arrived about 30 minutes before closing, and they were already disinfecting and thoroughly cleaning the butchering area. You can actually see the area where they process the chickens, which I liked because you can see firsthand how clean everything is. I will have to come back and watch their process. They receive live chickens from a farm and butcher them fresh on-site. They offer El Gallo/ rooster, white chicken, and fresh gallina/brown India chicken . You can get a whole chicken and have it cut however you like, or take it home whole. They also have chicken breasts, leg quarters, wings, breaded chicken, and even chicken chorizo. Prices seemed very reasonable too. They also sell chicken, duck, and quail eggs, along with whole ducks and rabbits. On top of that, the store is like a small neighborhood minimart with other items available. Definitely a cool place to find fresh poultry, and it has a little mini Mart grocery section.
